File PhotoKARACHI: The case of a teenage girl allegedly gang-raped in the city's Azizabad area emerged Saturday night when a first information report (FIR) was registered in the local police station, Geo News reported.
The girl, 16, was allegedly subjected to gang rape in August 2017, the survivor's mother explained, adding that the family had remained silent about the sexual abuse over a fear of retaliation from the perpetrators.
The survivor's mother went on to say that her daughter was forcefully drugged and intoxicated before being gang-raped. She also said her daughter was threatened to stay quiet about the incident.
