After following fake accounts of Aamir Khan on Instagram for months, I now have a reason to rejoice because the Bollywood perfectionist has officially joined the Instagram family. For those scratching their heads wondering about the account they were following until now, sorry to burst your bubble; but Aamir Khan was officially only on Facebook and Twitter before this.  

If you too had this happy realization today after you saw his account, trust me you are not alone.

We have proof that he has officially joined Instagram. First, is the blue tick that pops up right when I type his official username. And second, is the fact that within a few hours he had over 230k followers already, even without posting a single picture. That's the charm or should we say response the 'Dangal' star commands.

Aamir Khan truly gave a big surprise to all his fans and friends and there couldn't have been a better day for him to join Instagram than his birthday. Yes, the birthday boy turned 53 today.  

In fact, Aamir made his Instagram debut by paying a tribute to the most special woman in his life - his mother.    

Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming releasing 'Thugs of Hindostan' and we can't wait for him to post videos and behind-the-scene clips from the movie on his Instagram account.
