  1. With Indian cricket coming to a sudden halt and sports overall taking a massive hit due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, two of the leading men from the modern era of Indian cricket, Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya decided to have some fun with their followers on Instagram recently. On Wednesday, the middle-order batsman shared a series of images from his social media handle, in the first of which he showed off a completely tattooed arm with an expensive watch wrapped around the wrist. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@shreyas41) This must have surprised a lot of Iyerâs fans as in all his previous images, the cricketer has had arms with no tattoos on them. It is only upon swiping to see the next picture that the reality presents itself. The second image shows the cricketer taking the same picture from a different angle and you could see that it was none other than Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya who hid behind Iyer and it was his arm that was tattooed from one end to the other. The third and final post of the series was a video in which the two athletes could be seen planning the whole thing and sharing a laugh as well. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@shreyas41)As two very important members of the Men in Blue, Iyer and Pandya have become really close friends and their chemistry is clearly visible both on and off the field. With the Indian Premier League which was scheduled to begin from next week, the two big hitters were looking forward to a month and a half of action-packed cricket in the twenty-over format of the game but it looks like they will have to wait for at least a couple of more weeks before the Covid-19 scare is over and the Indian league returns in full swing. Just in: The start date of IPL 2020 has been postponed from March 29 to April 15 pic.twitter.com/Pff52k58Yz â ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) March 13, 2020This time away from cricket has to be a lot more difficult for Hardik Pandya who has been out of action for over six months, and ever since he experienced severe pain in his lower back from September 2019. After undergoing a survey in October, Pandya was expected to make his return to international cricket in Indiaâs three-match ODI series against South Africa but even that got cancelled due to the highly contagious virus. And Indian television has Naagin universe, one of the deadliest yet hottest universe that keeps growing and getting more poisonous with each passing season. 5. Arguably one of the most successful captains in Indian cricket's rich history, Sourav Ganguly's batting might and leadership skills allowed him to carve his own niche in the gentleman's game. For someone who took 'Men in Blue' to new heights during his playing days, Ganguly continues to aid Indian cricket with his new role as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ever since taking up the role of the BCCI chief last October, Ganguly has been looked upon as the agent of change for Indian cricket. The former Indian captain has already taken key decisions and continues to contribute towards Indian cricket in his new role. While his new role keeps him pretty occupied, Ganguly still manages to find time to rekindle old memories. View this post on InstagramFanatastic memories ...A post shared by (@souravganguly) On February 13, the former Indian skipper went down memory lane and reminisced his maiden Test hundred that came on his debut against England at the hallowed Lord's cricket ground in 1996. Taking to Instagram, the BCCI chief shared a picture of himself alongside Rahul Dravid, where he was seen celebrating his maiden Test ton during that game, with a caption that read, "Fantastic memories". © Instagram/@souravganguly Ganguly's post attracted a lot of comments, not just from fans, but also from his former teammates. Sachin Tendulkar was also amongst those who responded to Ganguly's post. "This reminds us of his great knock. Is there any other instance of Dada at Lords that one can think of?," the 'Little Master' replied. © Instagram/@souravganguly Apart from Tendulkar, there was another notable comment from none other than Yuvraj Singh who made his debut under the leadership of Ganguly back in the day. But, while everyone was lauding Ganguly for his Lord's heroics, Yuvi took the opportunity to troll the BCCI chief. "Dada logo to hata lo! Your Bcci president now please be professional," he wrote. 6. Ever since making her international debut in 2010, Danielle Wyatt has been a vital cog in England's set-up for the women's cricket team. A prolific all-rounder, Wyatt boasts of over 2500 runs with the willow and 73 wickets across formats for the 'Three Lions'. But, at the very first mention of her in India, Wyatt reminds everyone of the women's cricketer who jokingly proposed to Virat Kohli on Twitter. While the England batswoman continues to share her admiration for the Indian captain, Wyatt appears to have found a new cricketer who is keeping her occupied on social media. For anyone who follows cricket, the love-hate relationship between Wyatt and Yuzvendra Chahal on social media platforms would have pretty hard to overlook. View this post on InstagramGreat to be back in Melbourne again ð ðA post shared by (@danniwyatt28) The two cricketers have been busy commenting on each other's post. While Chahal, owing to his jovial nature, couldn't seem to stop himself from impressing the England star, Wyatt's antics suggest that she's probably playing 'hard to get'. In a more recent case on Instagram, Wyatt shared a series of pictures where she was seen batting during the net sessions. © Instagram/@danniwyatt28 It was quite obvious to see Chahal's reply but it wasn't sure if he was complimenting or trolling her. Responding to Wyatt's post, Chahal commented: "666666". The Indian spinner was suggesting that the England cricketer had struck six successive sixes in a bid to probably win her over. But, sadly for Chahal, Wyatt had the last laugh with a reply: "if you were bowling". © Instagram/@yuzi_chahal23 Earlier, Chahal had shared a Team India photo-op with his spin-bowling partner Kuldeep Yadav on social media. "Making headshots look fun here in Chennai," he captioned the Instagram post. While everyone was elated to see the Indian spin-bowling pair together after a long time, Wyatt trolled Chahal by commenting: "I think you're smaller than me". © Instagram/@yuzi_chahal23 Prior to that, the right-handed batswoman had also made Chahal the butt of all jokes after he shared a photo of himself batting in Team India's net session. Amongst the responses on the post, Wyatt, referring to the stumps in Chahal's picture that didn't have bails on them, took a dig at Chahal with her comment: "Bowled". Well, we don't really know what the duo has been up to off social media, but, on Instagram, it's needless to say that there's something brewing between the two. Even if they aren't dating or thinking about being together, we are just delighted to witness their hilarious banters on social media. View the full article

  10. Ratan Tata is all of 82 years old. So, for him, social media is clearly a whole new world to explore. But clearly, it didn't take long for someone like him to figure out how to break the internet. So when he joined Instagram in October last year, he admitted that he doesn't know a thing about breaking the internet but was excited to share more of his life on the digital platform. I donât know about breaking the internet, but I am so excited to join all of you on Instagram (ratantata)! Tata (@RNTata2000) October 30, 2019 Post this, his Instagram page was filled with personal anecdotes and some of his achievements over the years that were close to his heart and even pictures of adorable animals. But recently, he dropped a #ThrowbackThursday picture. Take a look here: View this post on InstagramI was going to post this yesterday, but I was then told about âthrowbacksâ and how they occur on Thursdays. So here is a throwback from my days in LA, not long before I happily returned to India. #throwbackthursdayA post shared by (@ratantata) This is a picture of a much younger Ratan Tata. He posted the picture with the caption, "I was going to post this yesterday, but I was then told about throwbacks and how they occur on Thursdays. So here is a throwback from my days in LA, not long before I happily returned to India. #throwbackthursday." What we also notice here is how young Mr.Tata cleaned up well even when he was young. This is an acquired habit that has only become more pronounced with age. This also says a lot about how grooming can really turn around a person's personality. But, people on the internet could hardly believe that it was him, and reactions like these started pouring in: 1. People are comparing him to his contemporaries. 11. Selena Gomez plans to delete Instagram as it gets ‘unhealthy’Selena Gomez is ready to take the spotlight in 2020 with her new album and also has her eyes on the top spot. But there is one crown that the diva is already wearing and that is of her social media fan following boasting of 165 million followers. In spite of the connection she shares with her fans directly through Instagram, the 27-year-old is ready to give all of that away once again. The fifth most followed person on Instagram revealed in her recent interview with WSJ Magazine that after her new album Rare goes public, she will be calling it quits with the photo-video sharing app. “I got back on [Instagram] because I was releasing music, but I just told my best friend Courtney [Lopez] yesterday, I’m going to have to take it off my phone again soon,” she said. Speaking about her girl pals who have kept themselves away from the public and have helped her stay connected to a life away from the spotlight, Selena added: “They know I have an addictive personality, and it can be unhealthy.” She had earlier walked the same path back in September 2018 as well as she announced: “Taking a social media break. Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember – negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.”
  12. Thousands of people have been evacuated to safer areas, millions of innocent animals have lost their lives, firefighters and volunteers are working hard day and night to save as many lives as possible, as almost half of Australia continues to burn. Amidst the worsening situation, people from across the world are coming forward as silver lining to help financially with whatever they have in their capacity. One such person is Kaylen Ward, a 20-year-old Instagram model, who reportedly raised nearly $500,000 a few days ago by selling her nudes to anyone who donates to victims of bushfires. Guys. Im so happy right now I am crying. We've officially donated $5,000 to save Australia. Thank you all so much! — THE NAKED PHILANTHROPIST (@lilearthangelk) January 4, 2020 While her method was both appreciated and criticised by people, little did she know that it will soon start a powerful movement. Now, a lot of Instagram models and adult film stars are coming forward to help by offering to send nudes in exchange for donations towards Australia bushfires. Famous adult film star Riley Reid, recently took to social media and wrote, "I saw first hand how horrid the #AustraliaFires are. People & animals are dying & losing their homes. 13. The Australian bushfires and the catastrophic consequences have sent shock waves across the globe as people attempt to fathom what awaits the future of mankind. One such person is an Instagram model and influencer based in LA called Kaylen Ward who came up with her own idea of raising money and ended up donating a huge chunk in no time. Kaylen offered to sell nudes to anybody donating towards the bushfire victims and ended up raising over $500,000! She initially thought this would be her bit and whatever she could manage, she'd do. Little did she know that this idea will blow up the internet and her inbox will be flooded with requests and donation receipts. Posting sexually suggestive content is against the policy of the app. Kaylen took to social media updating what was happening which sadly includes her family now disowning her for this, but this internet hero of the moment vows to continue doing her bit. My IG got deactivated, my family disowned me, and the guy I like won't talk to me all because of that tweet. But **** it, save the koalas. — THE NAKED PHILANTHROPIST (@lilearthangelk) January 5, 2020 Instead of being judgemental of her choice, one might just take a minute and analyse the fact that she made use of her resources and her followers and did her bit in whatever way she could. While most celebrities only tweet out messages of condolence and 'condemn' these events, some people like Kaylen do whatever it takes to raise money for a cause. View the full article
  14. Jackie Shroff’s daughter Krishna Shroff might not have any plans to make her debut in Bollywood, but the lady surely knows how to keep herself in limelight. Krishna is reportedly enjoying vacations with her boyfriend, Eban Hyams, who is a basketball player by profession. The couple started dating this year, and looks like the duo is having fun together. Krishna recently posted a lovely photo with boyfriend on Instagram captioned, “Always making me laugh. Grateful to have met my best friend, twin soul, and love this year.” While the picture surely turned the heads up, the thing that garnered the most attention was Tiger Shroff’s comment on sister’s upload, possibly inviting a desi bro-sis war on internet. Tiger commented, “Eban…poor guy”. Well, this isn’t the first time Tiger has done this, and tried to tease her sister. The War actor previously commented on a bikini-clad photo of Krishna with a nauseated emoji. Hmm… waiting for a sibling war to start! For the record, Krishna is three years younger than Tiger, and has clearly remarked that she has no plans to become an actor. The actor said in an interview in 2018 that “when it comes to acting, she has always been very clear from the beginning that it's not something that intrigues her. She is not the one to face the camera."
  15. For someone who once struggled to get going as a middle-order batsman, Rohit Sharma has undeniably come a long way to become one of the most destructive openers in limited-overs cricket. His impeccable stroke play and lazy elegance has often cut sorry figures for some of the best bowling attacks in international cricket. Whether it's about posting mammoth totals or chasing big targets, the Mumbai batsman has, time and again, stepped up to aid the Indian cricket team in dire situations. Known to amass runs at will, it seems that Rohit can do no wrong this year where he has appeared to be in a class of his own. The right-handed batsman recently became the leading run-scorer in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) this year after slamming his 28th hundred during India's 107-run win over West Indies at Visakhapatnam. If his artistry with the willow has earned him plaudits, Rohit's exploits off the field also seem to have struck a chord with cricket fans. View this post on Instagram Many many happy returns my love, strength and game changer. Samaira and I are proud to have such a leading light in our lives â¤ï¸ð¥°ð @ritssajdeh A post shared by Rohit Sharma (@rohitsharma45) on Dec 20, 2019 at 11:05am PST After playing a key role in India's comeback in the three-match ODI series, Rohit took to Instagram and penned an adorable message for wife Ritika Sajdeh who is celebrating her birthday on 21st December. Sharing a series of photographs, Rohit wrote: "Many many happy returns my love, strength and game changer. Samaira and I are proud to have such a leading light in our lives". Rohit and Ritika got married on 13th December, 2015. The couple was blessed with their first child, a baby girl, named Samaira last year. The two have been going strong ever since and Rohit clearly missed his wife's presence as he is gearing up for the third and final ODI against West Indies in Cuttack on 22nd December. © Reuters Rohit Sharma has been in sensational form in 2019. Earlier in the year, he became the first batsman to hit five hundreds in a single edition of the World Cup and finished the tournament as the highest run-scorer. He made a cracking start to the year with a stylish 133 against Australia in Sydney on 12th January even as India lost the first of a 3-match ODI series. He was also among the runs in a historic series win over New Zealand before hitting back-to-back half-centuries against Australia at home. In the World Cup, Rohit hit an unbeaten 122 against South Africa to help India start with a win. After a 57 against Australia in the next game, he made 140 versus Pakistan in a high-voltage game at Manchester. And then came three successive hundreds against England, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka before a rare failure against New Zealand in the semi-final which India lost. After poor returns in the West Indies after the World Cup, Rohit Sharma returned to form with a swashbuckling century - incidentally, his first at home in 2019. Rohit, who joined an elite list of Indian batsmen after crossing 11,000 List A runs during his innings, is now also the leading run-scorer in ODIs this year. View the full article

  17. Instagram began to hide the number of users who have liked your posts earlier this week. According to reports, the social media app said it's part of an on-going effort to create a less stressful experience and the feature was made available to a few users in the US. But it looks like, the company has decided to go global with its efforts. On Thursday, Instagram announced to expand the 'Private Like Count' test globally, including India. According to Vishal Shah, Vice President of Product, Instagram, the feedback of the test has been pretty positive and they've hence decided to test it globally. © Reuters According to a report in Hindustan Times, Vishal said, "While the feedback from early testing has been positive, this is a fundamental change to Instagram, so we're continuing our test to learn more from our global community." Users who are a part of this test will continue to see the number of likes and views their posts and videos get. It's their followers who won't be able to see any of that number. Is it a good thing? Well, it depends on the kind of user you really are. The folks over at The Guardian reported that influencers saw the "like" counts fall during the test though. In a way, the number of likes and views on your posts shows the level of engagement your posts can get. Obviously, if you have more engagement, then more brands would want to partner with you for promoting their products and services. But if hiding the "like" count is affecting the engagement, then this could be something to worry about. © Reuters We're not entirely sure how it's affecting the users here in India or how the popular users are reacting to it just yet, but we'll soon learn more as the test starts reaching more users here. The influencer market is a lot bigger than you think it is, so this is actually a startling shift for many which could change the way users use the platform.
