Karachi Kings players celebrate a wicket

SHARJAH: Islamabad United and Karachi Kings clash tonight in the last group match of the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Sharjah.

With Peshawar Zalmi's win over Karachi Kings on Thursday, and following victory over Quetta Gladiators last night, Islamabad United have confirmed their place as the top team on the points table, and will be playing the qualifier in Dubai on March 18. A victory in the qualifier would mean a direct flight to Karachi for the PSL 2018 final.

For Karachi Kings, however, the outcome of today's Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars match holds great significance. 

Both Karachi and Multan will be praying for Lahore's success against Peshawar. If Peshawar lose, Peshawar are out of the competition and Karachi and Multan would join Islamabad and Quetta in the final four of the tournament.

But if Peshawar win, then Karachi would have to beat Islamabad convincingly tonight before the playoffs.
