RCB Lost 11 Crore Because Of Virat Kohli, But It's Not His Fault

It doesn't hurt much when you lose, but it pinches really hard when you almost win, but have to let that victory slip through your hands in the end. And no one can understand this pain better than Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after it lost Rs. 11 Crore in an instant.

IPL 2018 is around the corner and if there's anyone more concerned about it than the players themselves, it is the advertising agencies and brands who seem to have found the perfect opportunity to get our favourite cricketers to endorse their products.

Whether you are an avid cricket fan or someone who loves Anushka Sharma's husband, the entire world knows who Virat Kohli is. And thanks to the insane fan following and fame Team India's Captain enjoys, it no surprise that everyone wants to work with the star cricketer.

For RCB too, this could have been a 'perfect opportunity', had the RCB skipper not declined to shoot a commercial opposite Deepika Padukone. Seriously, who can say no to shoot an advertisement with the Goddess Queen Padmavati? Well, Virat Kohli can and RCB had to pay a huge price because of that.

But, like I mentioned in the headline, we cannot blame Virat Kohli for RCB's loss. It's not Kohli's fault. Neither does he have any personal issues with Deepika. One of the leading websites Goibibo.com wanted to work with Virat and Deepika, but in the contract signed between Virat and RCB, there's a clause which states that he can't share commercial space with other celebrities.

Because of this clause, RCB couldn't provide Kohli for the commercial and Goibibo cancelled the deal.

So it wasn't stars, the fault was in RCB's clause.
