You already know CR7. We all do. The world does. So I'll skip that blown-out-of-proportions introduction and cut to the chase. Ronaldo doesn't age. Or probably, is anti-aging.  Alright, let's say he's really good at aging. This past February, the soccer legend turned 33. Now look at normal 33 year olds around you. Now, look back at Ronaldo's pictures. Does he pass off as a 33-year-old? Well, even science considers him as fit as a 23-year-old. A recent full-biology test concluded that Ronaldo's overall body composition was acutely identical to that of a 23-year-old chap. No wonder why he keeps kicking it up on the field.

Understand Aging First

Before I dig into details of what Ronaldo does to look this great, let me clear something out. Aging is pre-dominantly governed by your genetics. The sad part is that we have no control on our genetics. So what's left for us to manipulate so that we age well? Our lifestyle. How you live your life can have detrimental and very direct effects on how good you age. Everything—from sleeping to eating to your movement—sets the foundation of how you age as you grow older. 

So, What The Hell Is This Guy Doing?

So what makes Ronaldo age like Benjamin Button? What does he eat? How does he exercise? Though his regime is very subjective and of course, exhaustively intense, I have briefed it out for you. These are the only two things that can actually help you age beautifully.

Eating

1) He loves his carbohydrates and relies mostly on oats, pastas, rice and potatoes. Carbohydrates are also essential for him keeping in mind his demanding training.

2) Meat protein is a staple. Everything from chicken to turkey to beef can be seen rotating in his eating schedules.

3) He usually eats 5 times a day. That's nothing new as most athletes would do the same to keep themselves fueled and recover from training.

4) Greens are an obvious too, along with on-point hydration.

So as you can see, there's nothing magical here that he eats. You too can eat all this. The deal is that all of his eating is calculated and structured. He eats according to his goals with minimum cheats. Now a lot of publications would encourage you to eat like him. That's outrightly stupid. Neither are you Ronaldo and nor do you train 5 hours a day like him. Even if you do play football, I am sure you aren't getting paid to do that. What you can learn from this is the fact that calculating what you eat and choosing the right foods are of prime importance. 

Training

Now this is something you need to pay precise attention to. This is exactly where the whole anti-aging starts.

1) Ronaldo is a professional athlete. He doesn't work out or train to 'just' remain fit or look good. His sport pays him millions so he has to, no matter what may come, be in top condition all year long.  So training is a compulsion for him. Not a choice.       

2) His training is split between cardio and weight training days. Usually, this takes up 4 days a week. Two days are dedicated to on-field training. One day is active rest.

3) Since his sport requires a robust lower body, it's prioritized. Everything from classic bodybuilding leg exercises to athletic work, best believe that he crushes all of these.

4) A mix of HIIT, LISS and on field circuit work sorts his cardio work.

5) Typical weight training and specialized athletic weight training are stressed upon the most. If it was only cardio, like most people think, he wouldn't have the amount of lean muscle mass that he now carries. 

6) Extensive stretching, icing, rehab and soft tissue repair work are most definitely part of his regular regime.

Weight Training And Anti-Aging: A Compelling Research

Just like I mentioned above, strength work and resistance training are the two undeniable keys to anti aging.  It just changes your body physiology right at the genetic level. Here, this research proves what I am telling you.

The University Of New Mexico went out looking for the result of consistent resistance training. Handpicked completely inactive people and put them on 26 weeks of regular weight training.  This is right from the research about what they found- 'Researchers identified 179 genes associated with age and exercise showing a reversal of their gene expression. This means quite literally that the resistance training was not only slowing, but also reversing the aging process at the gene level. The gene expressions of the resistance trained older subjects demonstrated characteristics similar to those of the younger group.'

Bottom Line

Since you won't look like Ronaldo, stop chasing that thought. Work on yourself to carve the best out of yourself. Evaluate your lifestyle, calculate your food and incorporate enough weight training and general activity. That's how anti-aging is done. Well, until some deranged scientist comes up with a real life magic drug to halt aging.
