Finally, the country has got back some of the money Vijay Mallya owned to banks. His famous Kingfisher Villa that has housed some of the most happening parties in Goa has been sold off by the bankers’ consortium. The villa has been bought by actor Sachiin Joshi for Rs 73 crore.

The former liquor baron was on the list of defaulters of multiple banks in the country an owed them a sum totaling Rs 900 crores. The bankers’ consortium, led by SBI, has finally managed to recover some of it by selling the Kingfisher Villa. The sea-facing villa was originally being auctioned for Rs 83 crores, but the price was brought down to Rs 81 crores as there were no takers.

The deal finally happened at 73 crores with actor Sachiin Joshi, who also owns the famous beer brand Kings Beer. The actor also owns a production house called Viiking Media & Entertainment.

Too bad all that is past now as he is currently one of India's biggest money defaulters.
