When Shah Rukh Khan delivered his powerful speech, before his women's hockey team went to play the crucial world-cup winning match in 'Chak De India!' I am sure tears rolled down some cheeks as people cheered for him in the movie hall. His iconic 'sattar minute' dialogue still rings in our ears every time we hear the movie's name.

But that was a movie. Do such exaggerations exist in real, where you encourage someone to an extent that they win the match? Turns out it is true. And the world saw a live demonstration yesterday when Argentina played against Nigeria. It was one of the dramatic matches of FIFA World Cup 2018 that was played in Russia last evening, where Argentina won against Nigeria by 2-1 in the last few minutes.

Marcos Rojo might have scored the winning goal in the 86th minute, but majority of the credit goes to Lionel Messi, who inspired him and the rest of the team to bring home the victory. FYI, Messi also hit the opening goal for his team. Reportedly, Rojo has revealed that their captain Messi urged his teammates, who were under immense pressure, to “calm down” at half-time.

“During half-time, Messi said that all of us have the duty to score so whenever we get the chance, we shoot, no matter our position,” Rojo said. He further added, “So when I saw that ball coming towards me, I kicked it in with all that I had in me and (laughs) it went in!”

— Sarath (@sarathjeeva) 27 June 2018It was crucial match for Argentina, which was on the brink of elimination after losing to Croatia; so we guess Messi's pep-talk truly motivated his team and gave the players that much-needed push to win. After this victory, Argentina has pulled itself out of the elimination zone and has now qualified to the knockout stage. David Beckham's prediction is turning out to be true, we guess?

This match is proof that Messi is a true team leader.
