After a goalless halftime and a tough competition from The Red Devils, France finally clinched victory and an entry into the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals last evening, thanks to Samuel Umtiti.
Umtiti's kickass header in the 51st minute turned his team's fate for good and sent them into the finals, where they will now compete with either England or Croatia this Sunday. The last time the French football team won the World Cup was in 1998, so it will definitely be a big deal if they get to pick the trophy this time.

After 2006, Les Bleus have now got another opportunity to prove their mettle on the biggest stage and probably mute England's 'It's coming home' chants that have been doing rounds for some time now. As expected, after the match the French fans went berserk and they have all the reasons to do so because France just paved its way towards bringing the trophy home after 20 years.
Twitter was flooded with hashtags like FRABEL and fans had all sorts of memes and jokes to make on both the winning and the losing team. We guess that's the beauty of this game and Twitter, no one and nothing is left unnoticed.

— KOKETSO DITSHEGO (@koketsomiscutek) July 10, 2018However, there were some fans who were disappointed with the referee's decisions over giving yellow card to Belgium in case of Kylian Mbappé and not to France when Eden Hazard fell. In fact, many fans even mocked Mbappé.
France: *gets touched by 1 finger*
ref: yellow card for Belgium
vs
Belgium: *gets tackled really hard*
ref: just keep playing nothing happened uwu#FRABEL

Eden Hazard ganged on the ground = No foul
Pogba is brushed or gets his hair messed up = Yellow card
Double standard refereeing in a nutshell! This worldcup is rigged to the core.

— Laure ð§ðª (@xerual) July 10, 2018This was not football, smth was going on here that was not right. France was allowed much more mistakes than we were and the ref cut us of about 3 times at the point where we were about to go for the goal... I'm sorry France but Iost all the respect I had for your team. #FRABEL

Kylian Mbappe was running the show while Eden Hazard, De Bruyne and Fellaini were trying their best to get past the French defence. However, when they did manage to sneak past the defenders, Hugo Lloris stood tall and kept making incredible saves.
