Mumbai Police Made A 'Friends' Reference Assuring Everyone They'll Always Be There During Rains

Another day, another new pop-culture reference on Mumbai Police's Twitter account.

I think we have already established that Mumbai Police is the coolest Police Department, based solely on their hilarious yet informative social media accounts. And, yes, the person behind the tweets and memes needs a hefty raise; we say this every time because it's important to appreciate pure memeing talent, it's that rare.

From a '13 Reasons Why' reference to putting their own twist to the viral sensation chai peelo auntie, they've always proved they keep up with the trends religiously. But, sometimes, you also get by with a little help from some classics.

It's not the first time we've seen a 'Friends' reference on the Mumbai Police's Twitter account and it won't be the last – that's the beauty of taking something classic – but it's still a great way to engage with people and everyone should see it.

Mumbai Police Made A 'Friends' Reference Assuring Everyone They'll Always Be There During Rains

Everyone knows about the Mumbai rains and how severe it has become, so the police obviously wanted to reassure the people that they're on top of the situation and the best way to do it, is by using lines from one of the most iconic theme songs of all time.

Right here. For you Mumbai. Always. #MumbaiFirstpic.twitter.com/PhnpDc6mRJ

As expected, people loved it. I mean, who wouldn't love hilarious and totally apt pop-culture references?

Good comparison.

@MumbaiPolice you are like Joey - kind, funny, and always ask everyone "How you doin?"

And, then a whole bunch of people just thanking police for their service.
