Huawei and its sub-brand Honor have been extensively launching new products in the country and have covered every possible price point. This week Honor launched the lower midrange Honor 9N in India, and today the company announced the launch of Nova 3 and Nova 3i as well. 

The two phones follow Huawei's recent design language, a combination of multi-layered glass and metal. The design has been stunning on the P20 Pro and the company is now slowly bringing down the top-tier design to midrange phones. In fact, the Nova 3 looks very similar to its elder sibling from the back, except for the missing third lens, obviously.

Coming to specifications, the Nova 3 has a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen is notched on the top and has thinner chins and bezels. The Nova 3 is a premium device among the two and boasts the flagship Kirin 970 chipset found on Huawei P20 Pro. It comes with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of inbuilt storage. 

The phone sports 16+24-megapixel dual camera set up at the rear while the front has a 24+2 megapixel dual lens arrangement. Huawei's Kirin 970 SoC has a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) that can handle AI tasks natively. The phone thus includes features like AI scene recognition while the front camera setup supports Face Unlock and 3D Qmoji.

The Nova 3i, on the other hand, sports a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. This one is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

Nova 3 and 3i run Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out-of-the-box and are backed by a 3750mAh and 3340mAh battery, respectively. It supports charging via a USB Type-C port and both the phones feature expandable storage as well as a microSD card.

The Nova 3 also comes with Huawei's GPU Turbo technology that can increase 60 percent more graphics processing efficiency. A few games also come pre-installed on the phone. 

The Nova 3 is priced at Rs 34,999 for the 64GB 6GB/128GB variant. The Nova 3i, on the other hand, is available for Rs 20,990 for the 4GB/128GB variant. Shipping is exclusive via Amazon.in and starts from August 23rd for Nova 3 and August 7th for Nova 3i.
