Just like people who post lyric videos online are the backbone of YouTube, stunt doubles are the backbone of every action movie ever and need all the appreciation in the world. They are the ones risking their lives for real, just so we can enjoy some crazy and incredible shots with our favourite actor.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is one of the most popular action stars of our time and even though he looks like he can take on any stunt that is thrown his way, but sometimes he also needs to get by a little help by his stuntman. In his case, his stunt double is actually a part of his family, his cousin Tanoai Reed is always there for him and it helps immensely that both of them look like twins for real.

Tanoai has been The Rock's stunt double for almost his entire movie career and I'm sure The Rock has always been very appreciative of him for making his kickass movies even better. But, yesterday, The Rock posted a video on his Instagram presenting his cousin with a special gift and it's the purest thing ever.

Johnson had tricked Tanoai into thinking they were just filming a regular behind the scenes video but then revealed his surprise gift – a custom black pickup truck.

Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed @samoanstuntman has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating bad ass achieving several “Stuntman of the Year” honors. All done with one goal in mind - deliver the best movie possible to the world. I had this custom pick up truck delivered just in time to surprise him (he's still recovering from a stunt injury) while we give what he thought was going to be an interview about our careers together. As you'll see the moment I put my hands on my hips, that's the drivers cue to pull away and reveal the big surprise. Not only does Tanoai represent our family and my career with relentless commitment and passion. He also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business. “[Tanoai] has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments, and just been an overall dominating bad ass,” The Rock wrote on Instagram. “All done with one goal in mind – deliver the best movie possible in the world.”

He was obviously very moved by this amazing gesture and shared pictures saying he was 'Blessed beyond belief'.
