Virat Kohli Wins The Match On The Field & A Young Fan's Heart Off It

Not too long ago, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was in news for ignoring a 5-year-old girl, who was waiting to meet him when the team was playing a three-day practice match with Essex in Chelmsford.

Although, that kid couldn't meet her hero, Kohli made the day of this young fan who will probably cherish this moment forever. Team India scripted history in the third test, with its stupendous victory by 203 runs against England at Trent Bridge. It's the same test that earned Kohli, the Man of the Match award.

Kohli, known for the being a big-hearted man as well, dedicated his team's victory to the Kerala flood victims. His heart-warming gesture won millions of hearts here in the country as well as abroad.

"We would like to dedicate this victory to Kerala flood victims, it's a tough time there and this is the minimum we can do on our part. The victory was much needed to keep the series alive, the credit goes to the entire dressing room. We didn't panic, we were outplayed in only one game out of the last 5, and that was Lord's," Kohli said.

As the team was heading back to the bus after the match, Kohli heard a young fan shouting 'Virat, picture please!' outside the stadium in Nottingham. Virat saw his young fan and made his day by obliging his request of a selfie. He not only clicked a selfie but signed an autograph for him as well.

This isn't the only reason why Kohli's fans love him so much. Last year, Kohli and Anushka won millions of hearts when they invited Kohli's differently-abled Sri Lankan fan to their reception.
