Did The Man Who Started The Movement Of 'Looking Aesthetic' On The Internet Die Of Steroid Abuse?

Every teenager in the early 2010s would be familiar or would have heard of the Russian born amateur bodybuilder living in Australia known as Aziz Sergeyevich Shavershian, popularly known as Zyzz.  Zyzz was massively popular on the internet amassing tens of thousands of followers on social media, having a supplement business, all while studying business in the University at the age of 22.

Though Zyzz never competed professionally, instead he started a movement of looking aesthetic which got him a lot of fame and following in the youth. He was adored and even worshipped as the aesthetic god.  In 2011, Zyzz went to Thailand for a holiday. Little would anyone expect that it would be the last they hear of Zyzz from himself. He was found unconscious in the spa of his hotel and shortly after the incident, he was pronounced dead due to suffering a cardiac arrest.  At such a young age, a popular online bodybuilding figure lost his life. And even though he never openly admitted to it, there were high suspicions of it owing to abusing steroids.

Like I mentioned above, Zyzz never admitted to steroid usage openly but his brother Said had openly talked about it in a YouTube video saying that he was surprised as to how strong and muscular was Zyzz becoming after high school. He also went ahead to say that how he once walked into Zyzz's room to see him being injected with steroids. That is when Zyzz introduced Said to steroids and how both the brothers started abusing these drugs to get big and jacked. Said was also once found possessing anabolic steroids and claimed guilty for the charge and paid a fine as well.  There were claims that Zyzz already had a pre-existing heart condition and it was well documented and researched before his death itself that steroid abuse worsens pre-existing conditions, especially related to the heart.

To top this, his brother Said still muses Instagram followers about how he is living the natty life for a few more weeks due to an injury rehab and how he is itching to jump on the 'Trenbolone' again.

The question here to ask is, are anabolic steroids worth the tiny bit of fame they give you online?  Are those likes and supplement and apparel sponsorships worth the shit one ends up injecting up their arse?

Is death at the age of 22 years worth all of it?

Zyzz's story is tragic to say the very least. It is often told (again in this piece) as a precaution and a warning to aspiring bodybuilders for the price they may end up paying due to misuse and abuse of anabolic steroids.

If anything, stories like these should serve as an awakening to those already injecting and move them to get off the roids.
