The #MeToo movement has empowered so many women to speak up against their perpetrators lately, and the latest name that has been added to the list of the accused is that of 'Housefull' director Sajid Khan.  

The man has been accused by three women, including Saloni Chopra, who once assisted the director years ago. She penned down her #MeToo story in a blog, where she extensively described the trauma she had to endure when she was assisting Sajid.

After her post went viral, Twinkle Khanna tweeted urging the 'Housefull' team to support and stand up for justice. 

Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through. Everyone involved in Housefull needs to take a firm stance on this issue. This cannot go on.

Actor Akshay Kumar, who is playing one of the lead roles in Sajid's movie, issued an official statement where he explained his support for justice and demanded the shoot of 'Housefull 4' be cancelled.

With each day, the true nature of several big names from the industry are being revealed in the #MeToo movement, and its high time that justice is served to the victims.

In the latest developlent in this matter, Sajid Khan has now issued an official statement that he has stepped down as the director of the movie.

Even Nana Patekar, who is a part of the cast of the movie, is already under the radar after being accused by Tanushree Dutta, who is garnering a lot of support after she decided to speak up against the actor and led the way for many women to reveal their stories as well.

Now, an official statement from the production house is awaited and until then, the movie is on hold. Let's just hope that more people in Bollywood speak up and support women, so that justice is finally served.
