Nobody, who laid their eyes on the people dressed in all the colours of the rainbow, walking along Delhi's busy roads, could tell it was a Sunday. The last day of the week, which people usually dread so much, shone in psychedelic colours under the cool November sun thi Sunday.

Hundreds of people walked together in cheerful waves - holding hands, dancing, smiling and rejoicing in their new-found freedom, in the company of those who had turned up to celebrate with the LGBTQ community.

This year's Pride Parade in New Delhi painted the town in all shades of the rainbow, but it was more than just the colours that caught people's eyes. There were messages and expressions that were much louder and poignant, which only added to the larger celebration.

I'd been wanting to attend the Delhi Pride Parade for a long time but I could never make it on those particular days. Yesterday, was my first time ever attending the parade and it was magical. It was a riot of colors, each and every person looked gorgeous, dhols and dancing didn't stop until the end. The sun was perfect and there was love all around. Pure love.
