UMERKOT: Another incident of Sindh government?s apathy emerged on Friday when patients at Civil Hospital Umerkot were seen seeking treatment in tents in scorching heat.

The hospital is currently under construction due to which the pediatrics, gynecology and general wards were closed and a tent was set up in front of the hospitals.

However, there was no provision of pedestal fans in the tents and patients continued to wait in soaring temperatures while seeking treatment. The patients continued to complain but to no avail.

Umerkot Civil Surgeon Dr Muhammad Jam remarked that he is not sure till when the construction of the hospital will be completed.Β
