Ritika Sajdeh Lauds Husband Rohit Sharma For Overcoming The Hardest 6 Months Of His Life

Rohit Sharma made his critics eat their words after guiding Mumbai Indians (MI) to the Indian Premier League (IPL) title this year. Showcasing his calm and mature approach, the Indian opener led from the front and played a pivotal role in Mumbai's record third title in the history of the tournament.

Thanks to his recent feat, he is now the most successful captain in the IPL history. His leadership skills saw Mumbai improving the record of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) who have won the IPL title on two occasions respectively.

Am I the only 1 who thinks dat #RohitSharma will make a better captain than Kohli?

The 30-year-old is arguably the talk of the town following his success with Mumbai, but things weren't really ideal for the right-hander before the IPL season.

Rohit injured his quadriceps while batting against New Zealand in Vizag. A four-month injury break had kept the Mumbai captain out of action since November 2016. The explosive batsman, who last played for India in October 2016, missed India's Test and ODI series against England.

He was also missing in action during the one-off Test against Bangladesh and did not feature in the first two Tests against Australia earlier this year.

The road to recovery has surely been a tough one for Rohit and his better-half Ritika Sajdeh was quick to laud the Indian cricketer on his sensational comeback.

It's not just because you captained your team to yet another IPL title but the fact that I've seen you go through possibly the hardest 6 months of your life and come out stronger, faster and more determined than ever. You're the strongest person I know and I am so so so proud of you. Congratulations to you and all your boys on bringing the cup back home @rohitsharma45 #🏆🏆🏆🏆

Sharing their photo with the IPL 2017 trophy, Sajdeh took to Instagram and wrote: "It's not just because you captained your team to yet another IPL title but the fact that I've seen you go through possibly the hardest 6 months of your life and come out stronger, faster and more determined than ever.

Sajdeh is not the only one to acknowledge Rohit's comeback, if the media reports are to be believed, the Indian cricket board is so impressed with his leadership skills that they are not contemplating the idea of announcing him as the national team's vice-captain for the upcoming Champions Trophy.

While Rohit will be seen opening the innings for India in the tournament scheduled to be held in England and Wales, his recent transition as a successful Mumbai captain will surely aid Virat Kohli during the games.
