College Girls Dancing To A 90s Bollywood Mashup Is Going Viral Because Well Nostalgia

The Internet is a weird place. Anything and everything can go viral.

A random 3-minute video of college girls dancing has suddenly gone massively viral on YouTube. Dancing on some of the biggest Bollywood hits from the 1990s - from AR Rahman's chart-busting ‘Muqabala’ to ‘Dil To Pagal Hai's’, Chak Dhoom Dhoom, Salman Khan's ‘O O Jaane Jaana’ and even Kuch Kuch Hota Hai's ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, these college students have caught the attention of millions of people.

It starts off with just one girl belly dancing surrounded by a bunch of people as they cheer her on. Slowly, more and more girls join in on the fun. It seems like somewhat of a flash mob, and everyone loves a good flash mob.

Along with all the signature dance moves from each hit song, they even added a bit of their personal touch with a little bit of classical dance.

When this particular video was shot is not really clear but it was uploaded on YouTube early this year on January 2 by someone with the username 'rocks odisha.' But for some reason, the amount of views on the video skyrocketed after 5 months. I am apparently the 15,226,946th viewer. The only reason I can think of behind this viral success is nostalgia.

Why do you think the video is receiving so much love all of a sudden?
