The New Mars Rover Concept Could Make Summers On The Red Planet A Lot Cooler

In today's world, innovation is everything. You could release something new every year, but unless you've made significant changes to your product, no one is going to buy it. But sometimes, it's about more than sales.

NASA certainly isn't interested in the sales numbers for the Mars Rover. IT'S NOT FOR SALE! Does that mean they're going to sit back and rely on the boring old Mars Rover they use right now? We think not!Β

Say hello to the latest Mars Rover Concept which was just unveiled as a part of the "Summer of Mars" campaign by NASA.

This mean machine is the future of travel on Mars. The car runs on an electric motor which is powered by solar panels and has a 700-volt battery. It has GPS and can seat up to four people at a time. It even has a laboratory for experiments in the back.

Now, aren't these the slickest wheels you've ever seen?

It was designed by the Parker Brothers with inputs from NASA astronauts. You'll probably recognise some of their other designs like the TRON bike from 'Tron: Legacy' and the tumbler from 'The Dark Knight.' Yeah, come to think of it, this looks an awful lot like the Batmobile from β€˜The Dark Knight’, doesn't it?Β

Unfortunately, this vehicle is not going to be used for any trips to Mars. It's more of an educational concept to help encourage the exploration of Mars in the future. Let's hope it's auctioned off by NASA at some point, and we have enough cash to buy it. How awesome would it be if we rolled up for the next distant cousins wedding in this?
