

KARACHI: Reacting to news of the prime minister's summoning by the Panama case Joint Investigation Team, the Pakistan Stock Exchange showed a downward trend on Monday.
The benchmark KSE 100-index fell by 1,855 points, showing a decline of 3.75%.
The benchmark index closed at 47,671 points. Moreover, investors incurred losses worth Rs356 billion.
About 219.1 million shares worth Rs9.26 billion were transacted today.
A downward trend has been witnessed at the stock exchange for the last couple of weeks owing to various factors, including the recently presented federal budget 2017-18.
Reports indicate the index has fallen around 10% since its high a few weeks ago.
