GUJRANWALA: Police arrested one suspect, after two transgenders were allegedly tortured in Gujranwala for evading extortion.

Naila and Gauri, residents of Kangni Wala in Gujranwala, informed police regarding Adnan Butt, who used to claim extortion from the two transgenders every month.

Upon refusal to pay further extortion this month, Adnan Butt along with accomplices broke into our house and tortured us, said the transgenders.

Police detained the suspect Adnan on the request of the transgenders, while Naila and Gauri were sent to Civil Hospital for a medical.

Police said, the case will be registered after the medical report.
