Continental air prevails over most parts of country: MET

A continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country on Thursday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said.
However, a shallow westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining areas.
Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24-hours, while very hot weather is expected in upper Sindh, south Punjab, and Sibbi division.
However, rain and thunderstorm are expected at few places in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Multan divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Past weather:
The weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain and thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, D.G Khan, Sahiwal divisions & Kashmir.
