Chances of Eid-ul-Fitr falling on June 26: Met dept

ISLAMABAD: There are chances of Shawal moon being sighted on June 25, following which Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on June 26, according to a letter written by the Meteorological Office to Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The Met department said that there are high chances of the Eid moon to be visible on June 25.
According to the letter, the birth of the Shawal moon would be on June 24 at 7:31 AM in the morning.
According to Science, the moon of Shawal would be visible on the evening of June 25, while the weather would remain clear and partly cloudy.
The age of the Shawal moon on June 25 would be more than 36 hours. The Ministry of Religious Affairs sent the Met office?s letter to the Central Ruet-Hilal Committee.
