MARDAN: Five people were killed and 11 injured as a passenger coach collided with a truck on Gujar Garhi Ring Road Wednesday morning.

A Bajaur-bound passenger coach, which had departed from Rawalpindi, collided with a truck, which was parked on one side of the road.

The deceased and injured were shifted to Mardan Medical Complex. The deceased have yet to be identified.

Reckless driving by passenger coach drivers has claimed many lives. In February, this year, four members of a family were killed and seven others injured in an accident on National Highway near Khuzdar.

The accident occurred when a coach collided into a passenger van near Wadh. As a result, a woman and a man along with two girls were killed on the spot.
