RIYADH: Muslims in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Japan and European countries will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday after the Shawwal moon was sighted there on Saturday.

After the moon sighting, the first of Shawwal will fall on Sunday, June 25, which Muslims across the world celebrate as Eid-ul-Fitr.

In Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet Sunday for sighting Shawwal moon. It is likely that the entire country will celebrate this Eid on the same day, depending upon the sighting of the moon.

According to the Met Office, there are high chances for the moon sighting on Sunday.
