MORO: Former President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif?s abysmal attendance in the assembly.

While addressing an event in Moro, the PPP co-chairman said the premier had been present in only four sessions of the assembly in the past four years.

"Mian SahibΒ you called yourself the leader of the House and prime minister but even Muhammad Khan Junejo attended the Assembly sessions more than you," the former president said making a reference to former Prime Minister Junejo's short-lived, turbulent journey in office.Β

Zardari, who raised concerns about the PM?s attendance in the assembly, said such a precedent would only lead to worse attendance in Assembly sessions by future leaders.

Talking about the Kashmir issue, he said that the Kashmiri cause is very close to the nation?s heart.
