Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent Twitter users into the throes of bafflement when his GST speech ended with Darth Vader's iconic ?Imperial March? theme which was played in the background.

The Indian PM was waving at the crowd after rolling out the GST Act 2017 -- which pertains to a major tax reform in the country?s economic system -- when the sinister tune played out.

The choice of music left social media users confused whether it was an honest mistake or a deliberate one.

The noteworthy thing is that this is not the first time the Indian PM used a sci-fi reference at a significant platform.

The newly-elected Modi in 2014, had uttered a Star Wars quote at an event in Madison Square garden ? much to his audience?s amusement. ?May the force be with you!? he had said.
