
Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah chairing the last apex committee meeting on Jan 2, 2017. Photo: File KARACHI: The Sindh Apex Committee will hold its 19th meeting today, which is expected to be chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa.
This will be the first time the army chief chairs a meeting of the apex committee in Karachi.
Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other senior civil and military officials will be part of the meeting.
Sources said items on the meeting agenda of the highest security body of the province include reviewing the security at Central Jail, Karachi as well as the recent escape of suspected terrorists from Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
The last meeting of the apex committee was held on Jauary 2, 2017 and chaired by the Sindh chief minister.
