KARACHI: One girl died and three of her family were left injured when a speeding car hit their motorcycle late Tuesday night here in Khokhrapar, Malir, police officials said.

The deceased girl's parents and brother were among those injured in the crash, security officers stated.

According to police, the driver was allegedly racing on the road and lost the control of his car. The vehicle then went over to the footpath and hit one of the motorbikes from the oncoming traffic.

However, the driver subsequently managed to escape the crash site and left behind his car, which was then set on fire by an enraged mob, police explained.
