Mahavir Singh Phogat had an amazing story which inspired Aamir Khan's hit film ‘Dangal', and even after that, the former national level wrestler doesn't seem to slow down. Now, he has set his sights on making a mark in the TV Show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi'.

He is the father and coach of Geeta Phogat, who won a gold medal in women's wrestling in the 55 kg freestyle category at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a first for India, and became the first Indian woman wrestler to have qualified for the Olympics and Babita Kumari, who won a bronze medal at the 2012 World Wrestling Championships, and won the gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Mahavir Singh Phogat has also been honoured with the Dronacharya Award by the Government of India.
After the massive success of ‘Dangal', Phogal now wants to take on the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi'.

“If given an opportunity, I would be delighted to do ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi' because I am both physically and mentally strong,” he said in a statement.
His daughter, Geeta Phogat, is currently one of the contestants in the upcoming edition of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 8', which is being hosted by Rohit Shetty.

He added, “If Geeta takes up a challenge, nothing can stop her from winning. Absolutely nothing that can stop her at being the best at it! She never doubts her capabilities, and so there is never even a thought of giving up.”
