Saad Rizvi to get married in intimate ceremony today; Valima ceremony to take place at Minar-e-Pakistan's Sabzazar ground on Sunday

The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has reacted to the extended lean patch of India’s two veteran red-ball players Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, which has been one of the most talked about topics in Indian cricket, especially in the last couple of months.
Unlike many fans and experts, the former India skipper refrained from being overly critical of the two experienced duo saying that both of them are good players.
© Reuters
The Indian fans have run out of patience now and they want to see them gone. When the selectors sit down to pick India’s next Test squad, there are high chances that both these players will be dropped from the side.
Their performances haven’t been good enough in the recent past and everyone knows that. Ganguly feels it’s time for them to “go back to Ranji Trophy”. The BCCI chief hopes to see them return to domestic cricket and score tons of runs for their states.
© Reuters
The 49-year-old BCCI boss also touched upon the fact that international players playing Ranji Trophy shouldn’t be considered a downgrade. It was the tournament that provided them with the base to enter the Indian team in first place, so every player must respect that.
“Yeah, they are very good players. Hopefully, they will go back to Ranji Trophy and score a lot of runs, which I am sure they will. I don’t see any problem [for them to go back to domestic cricket after playing so much international cricket]. Ranji Trophy is a huge tournament, and we have all played the tournament,” Ganguly told Sportstar.
© Reuters
“So, they, too, will go back there and perform. They have played the tournament in the past when they were only playing Test cricket and were not part of the ODI or limited-overs team. So, that won’t be a problem,” he added.
Rahane and Pujara flopped terribly in South Africa and after the series the cricket aficionados in the country began demanding the selectors to get rid of them once and for all.
© Reuters
One could have understood if there were no ideal replacements. But in India there is no death of talented cricketers. Players like Sheryas Iyer and Hanuma Vihari have to wait on the sidelines despite performing brilliantly just so that these two out-of-form cricketers can be accommodated in the Playing XI, which is totally unfair to them.
Rahane and Pujara used to be the mainstays of India’s batting line up in Test cricket but those days are gone. It’s high time that the selectors realise that and make some strong decisions for the betterment of Indian cricket.

What makes for a good Valentine’s Day gift?
Is it flowers or is it chocolates? Perfume maybe?
Not that all these gift ideas aren’t good, as a woman I can vouch for the fact that we are kind of bored of receiving these cliched gifts from our boyfriends.
Gifts like flowers and chocolates are good, but they aren’t great. More so, these gifts only became popular because of cheesy rom-coms, which are far from reality.
Your girlfriend deserves a gift that’s thoughtful, reflects her personality and something that she’ll actually use.
Well, you need not worry because we’ve just the right Valentine’s Day gift guide for her.
What’s even better is that these gift ideas come from women themselves.
1. Skincare & More Skincare Taking care of your skin is not only a great self-care activity, it has also become a necessity. With the increasing pollution, stress and screen time, having a good skincare regimen is a must. More so, Aishwarya Agarwal believes and I agree that a girl can never have enough skincare products.
This skin care gift kit is perfect for every skin type. It consists of two sheet masks, a lip balm, a face cleanser and a face toner.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3031__
Handmade soap is yet another great gift idea for any skin care fanatic. This set of three MCaffeine soaps is natural, gentle and suitable for all skin types.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3032__
2. Wine Or Champagne Glasses Kavya Misra, like many other women, prefers wine over other types of alcohol. What could be better than wine glasses or wine for her. This set of wine glasses is not only elegant but also affordable. More so, it will also be perfect for the date night that you’re planning for Valentine’s Day.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3033__
The only problem with wine glasses is that you need to handle them with care or else your very thoughtful gift will be shattered in no time. If you want your gift to be protected from clumsiness, you can also go for these unbreakable and equally beautiful champagne glasses.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3034__
3. Scented Candles Scented candles may not be a household essential for you, however, for Swasti Gautam, it’s a part of her everyday life. Like her, if your girlfriend also loves her ‘me time’, she’s sure to love these scented candles. This gift box comes with three different candles that smell like fresh pear and lavender.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3035__
4. A Traveller’s Wishlist The next woman we spoke to is a travel enthusiast and cherishes experiences more than anything else in the world. The perfect gift, according to Neha Shah, is basically anything travel related, be it a backpack, a journal or a neck pillow.
This travel gift hamper is sure to make any travel enthusiast smile. It consists of a neck pillow, an eye mask, two quirky luggage tags and a notebook to pen down your reflective thoughts while travelling.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3036__
5. Home Decor Last but not the least, we spoke to Shreya Singh, who loves being a plant parent. According to her, potted plants are the most underrated gift. In case your girlfriend isn’t into plants, you can always trade this idea for any other type of home decor item like a quirky table lamp, coasters, etc.
__ECOMPRODUCT__3037__
The Bottomline We hope you got some inspiration for your valentine this year. It’s time to think beyond flowers and chocolates, especially if you truly want to make her smile.
Which one of these gifts would your valentine like? Tell us in the comments below.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has slammed all-rounder Hardik Pandya for trying to justify his lack of good performances with the ball during the T20 World Cup 2021 in which the Men in Blue were knocked out during the group stage.
Pandya had recently commented about how he was selected to become a part of the main roster solely as a batter and had to bowl in the first match even though he was in no shape to do so. He further explained how he went on to bowl in the second match as well even when he was not supposed to.
View this post on Instagram
Reacting to this statement by Pandya, Rajkumar not only called him immature but also went on to slam him and tell him that he should be thankful to the BCCI and the selection committee for letting him be a part of the World Cup squad despite his shortcomings, especially when there were multiple all-rounder back-ups awaiting their turn to make it into the team.
Pandya’s comments also raise an important question regarding all the statements that were coming out of the Indian cricket board at the time of team selection wherein Pandya was being portrayed as recovering cricketer who will be good to be the squad’s primary all-rounder, who will be able to deliver some overs per match without any difficulties.
View this post on Instagram
In fact, the Chairman of Selectors had made it public that Pandya was going to bowl four overs in every match he becomes a part of during the T20 World Cup. However, in the latter half of IPL 2022 (which concluded just three days before the World Cup started), Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma kept Pandya away from bowling and that should have been the biggest red flag on his health.
The Chairman of Selectors had said Hardik will bowl 4 overs in games. He hasn’t bowled even 1 yet. He is the pace bowling all rounder and India has gone in with 1 fast bowler less.
— Boria Majumdar (@BoriaMajumdar) September 26, 2021
The lack of a legitimately fit and performing all-rounder did haunt Virat Kohli’s side, especially during the first two matches of their T20 World Cup journey against Pakistan and New Zealand, both of which they lost and practically ousted themselves from the tournament, causing a major setback to Kohli’s legacy as he stepped down from T20I captainship on the same day.

Tom Holland is one Hollywood actor who has really, really burst onto the scene!
Having made his debut in movies back in 2012 with The Impossible, the London-born actor has really carved a name for himself by putting in emphatic performances in every role he played.
This was one of the reasons why he was cast as Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man films, a role that he admitted was a dream role for him ever since he was a kid.
© Marvel Studios
Well, the rest is history, isn't it?
Marvel's Spider-Man movies have gone on to do so well, with the character actually now being at the heart of the MCU in a similar way that Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man was once.
Now, with the success of his Spider-Man: No Way Home film that starred Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as well, Tom is really getting all the attention he needs and may not need worldwide.
However, it looks like he's getting a lot of love from Hollywood as well, or at least he seems to have thought so.
Yep! As per the latest interview given by Tom, the actor actually admitted to thinking he received a *** toy or a 'self-pleasure' device from a Hollywood celebrity.
© Men's Health
As we know Tom is currently dating his Spider-Man co-star Zendeya, it appeared to Tom that someone might still care for his well-being nonetheless.
As per Tom, it was his co-star Mark Wahlberg who gifted him a 'self-pleasure device'.
© Reuters
However, it was not what it looked like.
Yep, that's right! Mark did give him something but it wasn't a *** toy but actually a massage gun.
"Essentially Mark Wahlberg was kind enough to give me a massage gun after I left his house in LA and he drove me back to my hotel. I was confused as to what kind of massage gun this was having never seen one before and I thought it was the type of self-pleasure."
"I thought Mark Wahlberg was driving me back to my house for other reasons than just being a gentleman. I didn't know, it's Hollywood baby... who knows what's going to happen," said Tom, while speaking to Access Hollywood.
Oh Tom, you funny man!
As you know, Tom and Mark are both starring in the latest Uncharted film that will release in theatres this month.
© Sony Pictures
The movie stars him as a young Nathan Drake, the protagonist of the superhit Naughty Dog's Uncharted Video Game series, whereas Mark will play the role of a fellow treasure hunter named Sully.
Uncharted will hit the theatres on February 18.

Ever since we were little kids, we’ve always been urged to do one good deed every day, even if it is as small as giving someone a compliment. And while most of us are quick to preach the same to others, when the time comes, people only seldom ever step up to help others.
We say this after a father and son recently were left stranded on the road and despite several passersby at the spot, no one chose to help them out. Well, no one except one Swiggy delivery boy, who people are now calling a ‘hero’.
Swiggy Delivery Boy Helps Save Man's Life, Here's The Full Story https://t.co/1hRSZfqwyj
— mannainfinitysoul (@mannainfinitys1) February 2, 2022
Being lauded on social media is a delivery boy who, on December 25th, helped save the life of an elderly man when he fell ill on the road itself.
Mumbai-based Col (Retd) Man Mohan Malik who got sick was being rushed to the hospital by his son in a car, however due to heavy traffic on the roads, the father and son found themselves stuck. Pleading for help from those who passed them by on a two-wheeler, not one person stopped and helped them in need.
© Twitter/Swiggy
Finally, a delivery boy from Swiggy stopped to help them out. Col. Malik recalled, “Suddenly, we saw a Swiggy delivery person across the road. He was moving from Reclamation towards the hospital. I asked my son to request him for help as my situation was deteriorating quickly.”
He further went on to narrate, “As we approached the hospital, we found the gates were closed. The Swiggy delivery executive requested the security guard who was stationed at a distance to open the gate as there was a “serious patient” requiring immediate admission to the emergency ward. He then went on to also inform the staff, requesting them to act at the earliest. The medical team rushed to the spot, and the last I remember, I was being wheeled into the hospital.”
[1/1] 25th December I had to rush my dad to the hospital in a critical
condition. Got stuck in a terrible traffic jam while reaching there but shouted out to a @Swiggy delivery person to Piggyback and take my dad to the emergency ward.
— Manish Malik (@manimalik) February 1, 2022
If it hadn’t been for the kindness and humanity of the delivery boy, Mrunal Kirdat, who went a step further than his line of duty to help someone in need, a life wouldn’t have been able to be saved.

He truly is a hero, and people on social media are hailing him just the same.

Col. Malik also showed gratitude to the generosity of Mrunal as he wrote, “After several weeks at the hospital, I am well. All I could think about was the young boy who gave me a new lease of life. For me, he is truly a “Saviour” as Swiggy calls them. If not for him, I would have perhaps never been able to return to my loved ones. Thank you to him and all the unsung delivery heroes.”

With the Indian Premier League scheduled to take place on March 27, the president of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly has revealed the location for the tournament considering the fact that the impact of COVID-19 is still prevalent in India and must not be overlooked so easily.
The BCCI has announced the locations for the 15th season of the cash-rich tournament. The BCCI leadership, the IPL governing council, and the franchise owners met and chose four tournament venues. The IPL 2022 season will consist of a 10-team competition with 74 games.
View this post on InstagramPotential places include Wankhede, Brabourne, and the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, as well as Pune. According to early negotiations, the BCCI plans to hold the tournament in Maharashtra, with the opening game likely to be held in Mumbai. Pune, however, was considered because of its closeness to Mumbai.
Having said that, Ganguly also clarified that Ahmedabad and the iconic Motera Stadium could also be utilised for the Playoffs matches if required by the Indian cricket board to move the locations based on the situation analysis at the time.
View this post on InstagramThe fans of the tournament feel that keeping the entire tournament in Mumbai leads to some unfair advantage in the hands of the five-time championship-winning franchise, Mumbai Indians, for having home ground benefits. Furthermore, if fans will be allowed to go to the stadium, it will only make things easier for Rohit Sharma and Co. to perform better considering the kind of support they will be getting from the stands.
As a result, the franchise owner of the Mumbai Indians, Mukesh Ambani is being crowned the ‘Man of the Tournament’ for ensuring that his team wins its sixth IPL trophy and further solidify its reputation as the best franchise in the history of the league.

— ᴮʰᵉᵉᵐˡᵃᴺᵃʸᵃᵏ (@vinay_pspk_) February 3, 2022The BCCI had also maintained South Africa as a viable possibility, given the seriousness of the Covid incidents in Mumbai. The panel also discussed if the United Arab Emirates may host the IPL in 2022. Franchisees chose the UAE over South Africa to save money on overall costs. The BCCI, however, has ruled out the UAE as a feasible choice because of the presence of dew.
The UAE successfully hosted two IPL seasons in a row in 2020 and 2021. On the other hand, the dew factor had a substantial impact on the games' outcomes. The T20 World Cup, which was also hosted in the Middle East, saw the same thing happen.

Men are from Mars and women are from Venus.
We all have grown up listening to this all our lives… and sometimes we realize how true it is. Men and women are built differently and it’s natural that our systems are built differently too.
While both men and women experience hair loss at some point in their lives, men start balding earlier than women.
Why does that happen?
Here are some of the reasons why this happens differently in both men and women.
The Genetic Condition
Androgenic alopecia, also known as pattern baldness, is the most common reason for hair loss in men. Over 50% of men over the age of 50 are affected by MPB or male pattern baldness while only 30% of women face this problem, mostly when they reach their 70s.
This, however, is a genetic condition and cannot be reversed easily.
Unsplash
The Hormones
The male hormone, testosterone plays an important role when it comes to the health of our hair. Testosterone has a by-product called Dihydrotestosterone or DHT which is important but also restricts blood supply to hair follicles. Men produce this hormone lifelong, unlike women.
Women also experience a number of hair issues that are different from men. Some of the factors that contribute to hair loss in women include hormonal changes, especially during pregnancy or menopause, and stress.
However, the complexity of hair loss in men is much more than that of women.
Hair Follicle Density or HFD Is Different For Men And Women
It’s significantly lower in men. That means that women have a higher number of hair follicles per cm which ultimately stimulates the rich growth of hair and restricts hair loss. This is the reason why men lose hair, while women experience thinning.
No matter what the problem is, there’s always a solution. So, what is it that you can do to prevent hair loss? Here are a few simple things that will come in handy!
- Washing your hair 3-4 times a week with a gentle shampoo helps keep your scalp clean. Sweat, dirt, and grime can clog your hair follicles which in turn can cause hair loss.
- Oil your hair regularly. Oiling reduces the drying of your hair and hydrates your scalp. This protects your hair follicles and promotes healthy hair growth.
- Never brush your wet hair. Your hair is the weakest and vulnerable to breakage when wet.
- Hair massage once every 15 days increases blood flow and that, in turn, promotes hair growth.
- Avoid using too many chemicals on your hair. Usage of chemicals damages hair and causes hair fall over time and is best avoided.
- Eat food items that are rich in protein to promote hair growth. Eggs, chicken and chickpeas are some of the protein-rich foods that should be included in your diet.
These easy and effective rules will help reduce hair fall over a period of time. However, if you are looking for immediate results, here are a few Ayurvedic remedies for natural and holistic help.
Amla powder And Lime Juice
Amla powder and lime juice contain antioxidants that enhance blood circulation and promote hair growth. Make a paste of the two, apply it as a pack, and massage once before washing it off.
Pexels
Herbal Oils Containing Jatamansi and Bhringraj
Often referred to as the wonder herb, Jatamansi holds a special place in ayurvedic regimens for hair care. Yes! Several pharmacological studies have found positive results in treating hair fall with the use of jatamansi-enriched oils. Jatamansi has traditionally been used to cure anxiety, depression, epilepsy, and insomnia.
It is also known to boost memory and cure hair problems. Jatamansi balances three doshas in the body. These doshas cause an imbalance in the body, especially the Pitta and Kapha. Hair disorders are mainly caused by the imbalance in the Pitta dosha and that’s where Jatamansi plays an important role. The potency of this herb, in any form, whether it's the oil extract or powder form helps control hair fall and cures other hair issues like balding or hair patches.
On the other hand, Bhringraj, also known as food for hair also helps reduce hair fall and promotes healthy hair growth.
Unsplash
Aloe Vera
Natural aloe vera is easily available and helps repair hair damage. It also acts as a natural conditioner for your hair. It contains proteolytic enzymes which help repair damaged hair cells. While treating genetic problems and getting to the root cause of these problems might take time, small changes and additions like these can help the situation meanwhile.
How many of these have you tried already?

The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly found himself in hot water after it emerged that he had forcefully attended several selection committee meetings.
Since then the fans have been berating the former India skipper for misusing his power as the BCCI president to undermine various stakeholders.
© Reuters
Ever since this issue has surfaced, angry fans have been using some strong words against the ‘Prince of Kolkata’. Some even alleged that Ganguly’s dictatorial attitude was the reason why Virat Kohli had a fallout with him and he decided to step down from Team India’s captaincy.
BCCI Divided Into Two FactionsGanguly is yet to respond to these fresh sets of allegations but according to reports not all is rosy within the Indian cricket board. This matter has created a divide among the BCCI officials.
According to a report published in InsideSport, the BCCI is divided into two factions. While one set has described these reports as “utter nonsense”, the other group has confirmed that not just selection meetings, Ganguly had been doing a lot of things forcefully on various fronts.
The same official further alleged that this issue might have come into the public limelight now but it had been going on for a very long time, which was “extremely unfortunate”.
© Reuters
“This is utter nonsense & completely false,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by InsideSport.
“He has been doing things forcefully on various accounts. This is how BCCI is being run nowadays. Ganguly doesn’t have any business to attend selection meetings. Extremely unfortunate this is,” said another BCCI official.
What’s the whole issue? This issue came to light after a senior sports journalist put out a tweet alleging that a “BCCI official” had been forcefully inviting himself to the selection meetings and undermining the role of captain, coach and the national selectors.
For quite some time, a BCCI official kept inviting himself to selection committee meetings even when he knew he should have stayed away.
Captain and coach were helpless. Couldn't do anything. He had no business being there.
I hope such instances are not repeated in the future.
— KSR (@KShriniwasRao) January 26, 2022
Initially, he had to face a lot of criticism with people accusing him of spreading lies. But his claim was corroborated when a video of another journalist went viral where he was heard questioning Ganguly for misusing his power as the BCCI chief.
What's Ganguly's role in selection meeting?
This is clearly against BCCI's constitution. pic.twitter.com/9rjjoLNESq
— Shivam Aks (@AksShivam) January 31, 2022
In that viral clipping, two journalists were seen discussing how Ganguly’s unlawful actions might have undermined the role of Kohli, Shastri and the chief selector Chetan Sharma.
The BCC is divided but so far Ganguly has kept mum on this whole controversy and with the IPL 2022 mega auction just over a week away, he wouldn’t want to fuel this issue.

India Under-19 team continued their fine run in the ongoing World Cup as they hammered Australia by 96 runs to secure a place in the final of the tournament. With this emphatic win, India, who were the runners-up in the last tournament, qualified for the summit clash for the fourth consecutive time in the Under-19 World Cup.
Their captain Yash Dhull led from the front with a fine century that helped India post a huge total of 290 for five on the board in their allotted 50 overs.

The bowlers then fired in unison to bowl Australia out for 194, helping India to book a final clash against England. England were the first team to reach the final after their win over Afghanistan on Tuesday.
India were in a spot of bother in the semifinal after losing both their openers with just 37 runs on the board. However, captain Dhull and Shaik Rasheed put on a 204-run partnership for the third wicket to take India to a comfortable position.

Seeing the heroics of Indian U-19 batters, former England captain Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to praise the youngsters and said India’s future is in safe hands, adding that the skipper is exceptional.
“India U19s batting looked high class … The future looks secured for the Indian Team .. Yash Dhull looks exceptional .. #U19WorldCup2022,” Vaughan tweeted.

Fans did not like Vaughan’s comment as they felt the former England skipper was praising the Indian U-19 team to jinx them ahead of their summit clash against England.

India will now take on England in the final on Saturday, February 5 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
