The Great Khali was born Dalip Singh Rana in Dhiraina, Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, to Jwala Ram and his wife Tandi Devi. Khali is popular as an Indian professional wrestler best known for his stint with the WWE, where he was the former WWE world champion and a WWE Hall of Famer as well.

Humble BeginningsAlthough The Great Khali seems to be living the life of his dreams now, his origins, however, were anything but. He was born into an indigent family, with little to no means to provide the bare minimum that a growing child would require. Furthermore, from the tender age of 12, he had to resort to doing odd jobs and providing manual labor in order to earn a livelihood to support his family.

Dalip Singh eventually moved from Himachal to Punjab looking for employment, and it was here that he was scouted by the Punjab Police owing to his towering frame, and it’s thanks to them that the legend began his affair with wrestling.  Back when he was just Dalip, the former wrestler even had the prestigious Mister India title bestowed upon him in 1995 and 1996.

Additionally, the former WWE sensation was diagnosed with Gigantism and Acromegaly at a young age. The disease was caused by a benign tumor (adenoma), which grew on Khali's pituitary gland and caused an excessive secretion of the growth hormone, leading to the rare condition, acromegaly. His condition exacerbated his gigantism, leading to potentially life-threatening illnesses and complications if it had been left untreated. In 2012, The Great Khali successfully underwent surgery to get rid of the tumor.
What’s The Great Khali’s Net Worth? © The Great Khali
Obviously, The Great Khali doesn’t struggle for money anymore, he is after all a multi-millionaire now. Annually, he rakes in upwards of INR 7- 8 crores. While his total net worth is estimated at around INR 45 crores.

If you’ve been spending enough time on Instagram, odds are you’d have seen viral memes on The Great Khali truly showcasing how he’s achieved a cult-like status on the internet.
Khali played it smart by diversifying his sources of income, which means rather than depending on a single medium to earn his livelihood, he made himself valuable enough to make a payday through multiple avenues.

Khali’s earn around INR 15-16 crores as income from brand endorsements. Some of the brands who’ve used his marketability are Unlu, Ambuja Cement, Maithan Steel. He also promotes ‘Plastic Free Himachal Pradesh’ as their brand ambassador.

The Great Khali’s stint with the WWE helped in getting American citizenship, which helped him invest in a luxurious mansion worth INR 20 crores in the United States. Closer to home, Khali owns 3 extravagant bungalows worth around INR 10 crores.

    Films And TV © Netflix
The Himachal Pradesh native has also been featured in several Bollywood and Hollywood films like ‘The Longest Yard’, ‘Get Smart’, and ‘Kushti’. He’s worked in several television shows too. Furthermore, he was also a part of the promotions of Netflix’s Malayalam superhero flick ‘Minnal Murali’. The Great Khali has managed to haul in around INR 20 crores through films and TV alone.

Academy For Youth View this post on Instagram
After finishing his stint with the WWE, in 2005 Khali built a ‘Continental Wrestling Entertainment Academy’ in Jalandhar, Kangniwal for the benefit of youth who hail from poor and underprivileged backgrounds. Here they are given free training and mentorship in wrestling so that they can aspire to be a part of the WWE someday.
The Great Khali’s story is definitely out of the ordinary, one where he overcomes insurmountable odds to become a legend in his own right.

While women are burdened with societal expectations and taught how to talk, laugh and behave all their lives, men are not spared either. The only difference is that men’s issues are not often talked about because men don’t always express what they feel insecure about, which is ironically another awful standard projected on men by society.
A Reddit thread recently got men talking about the insecurities they still struggle with which go beyond physical attributes. Sure, there were answers about height, weight and small ***** size, because that forever haunts the mind of most men, but what was really insightful was men opening up about hidden fears and insecurities that no one really addresses.

From no romantic history to being too masculine or not masculine enough, here is what men feel insecure about even today.

    1. Ending Up Single ForeverMy nonexistent romantic history…I still haven't been on a single date with a woman. I was about to dive in and put myself out there, but then covid hit and it just blocked all those plans. I've been on bumble and tinder for months with a halfway decent profile with 0 matches. –Master_Hype
    2. Poor Mental Health Having anxiety / depression as a guy. Because the societal expectation is that the guy needs to stay strong for the family. –thechosenbum93

    3. Not Being Masculine EnoughI feel like I am more feminine than masculine. As such, I don't feel accepted by anyone other than women. Finding other male friends is impossible. As a married man being friends with women pretty much stops at my wife's friends. So yeah, zero friends.
Even if society today is aware that some men can be more sensitive than most, we're still decades away from having that energy be widely accepted. It is incredibly lonely on such a deep level. –Fleshsuitpilot
    4. Being Too MasculineThat I'm a monster just for being masculine and straight, that I cannot be myself and just be this gal pal who's in tune with anyone who isn't like me. Making sure I don't ever offend anyone with the casual stuff that might not offend most people and so on. –Whappingtime
That any girl I try to date thinks I am a rapist. They are somewhat scared of me, even though I try my best to be "soft". –InsideWealth9930

5.Personality I’m bored. I don’t have any real hobby or passion to share with anyone and feel like I’m basically in a holding pattern of work and survival. If I were to try to date, or make new friends, I fear that would find me very dull. –Jeramy_Jones
    6. Being A ProviderI’m only insecure about my ability to provide. Rest of the stuff and society, I don’t really care about. –op3l
    7.  Having No Friend CircleNot having friends even with effort, losing all friends I thought I had. –timmyboyoyo
I'm 30 years old. Not having many friends at the moment due to everyone having their own lives and some moving away. Worried that the friends I make in the future will never compare to the ones I had (most of them friends since junior high) –Current_Inflation_26

Men need to speak out more and their insecurities should be addressed as much as women’s. That’s what equality is all about, anyway. Isn’t it?

If there's one thing that I think all of us can agree on, it's that today's cartoons cannot be compared to the 90s and the early 2000s.

We had The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, The Powerpuff Girls, and so many other awesome shows to watch on the Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon.
    © Cartoon Network
Well, there was another show unlike any other which almost everyone religiously followed in the day.

It was the SWAT Kats, popularly known as Bahadur Bille in the Hindi-dubbed version of the show.
    © Cartoon Network
The show followed the story of Chance "T-Bone" Furlong and Jake "Razor" Clawson, who pilots who fight crime in Megakat city with the help of their super-powered modern fighter jet Turbokat.

Well, while the show aired for two seasons from 1993 to 1994, it will now get a reboot.
The new show, called SWAT Kats Revolution, will be kickstarted by the show's creators, Christian and Yvon Tremblay, who will collaborate with India's Toonz Media Group, which is being led by its president Mukund Cairae.
    © Toonz Media Groiup
"We're bringing our shows wherever there's a content gulf, and with animation, which travels easily internationally and crosses cultural barriers, there's a lot of potential for us to grow," Cairae said.

SWAT Kats was known to be one of the most popular shows on Cartoon Network and its cancelation was met with a lot of displeasure from fans.
In 2015, a revival of the show was in the works through a Kickstarter campaign, with  Christian Tremblay stating that Warner Bros. had an interest in seeing SWAT Kats return on the Boomerang network.
However, that did not go ahead and Tremblay provided an update on the reboot later.
"It has been a long time coming to provide an update on Swat-Kats Revolution, we sincerely apologize. I hope this update will bring you comfort that the efforts to bring back SK is very much alive and we are actively pushing to make it happen...For us the challenge is not IF a new series will be produced, but WHEN will it be done...," said Tremblay back in 2020.
However, now that the show is finally coming back, fans can start getting really excited about it.

Let's hope we get to see it soon on Cartoon Network or other platforms.

There’s one reality show that has got everyone hooked to the screens and chances are that majority of the people will say Bigg Boss. Yeah, well, BB is evergreen, with 15 seasons running and how! However, we are talking about Shark Tank India and well, the two seem to have a remote connection, or that is what the fans have suddenly realised.

With social media being filled with information on the Shark Tank judges and their personal life is piquing everyone’s interest, so many fans have dug up old wedding videos and pictures of judge Anupam Mittal, who is also the man behind Shaadi.com. He is married to Anchal Kumar, and while she is known as a famous model, true fans have recognised her from her stint on Bigg Boss season 4.

She was in the same season which saw many controversies like Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik’s affair and the arguments between Dolly Bindra and the housemates, especially Manoj Tiwari. Anchal was also seen in a cameo in Bluffmaster and Fashion. The couple got married in 2013 in Jaipur and their wedding video has suddenly gone viral.

The two absolutely look in love and Anupam’s fans are going crazy over this newfound realization.

With the IPL 2022 mega auction approaching fast, the whole world is excited about the two-day event which is scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.
Several high-profile players from across the globe will be up for grabs as teams look to rebuild their squad around their core group of players who were retained.
    © Twitter IPL
It was widely believed that the players preferred to get retained by their current franchises rather than going to the auction because of its unpredictable nature.

However, this common perception has been challenged this year as players like Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer decided to enter the auction after reportedly rejecting deals from a couple of franchises.
    © Twitter IPL
Given their profiles and proven track record, both these players are expected to fetch good money at the auction and their decision to not settle for less is being hailed as a masterstroke.

But not every player thinks on the same lines. Some value relationships over money and stick to their existing franchise, despite knowing that they would have easily gotten more money had they entered the bidding war.
    © Twitter IPL
There were some high profile players who chose to settle for whatever contract they were handed by their respective sides.

Here we take a look at five cricketers who would’ve easily fetched more money had they entered auction:
Ruturaj Gaikwad View this post on Instagram
The youngest player in the IPL history to win the Orange Cap, Gaikwad renewed his CSK contract for an annual salary of Rs 4 cr. With 635 runs, he was one of the standout performers for MS Dhoni’s side and would have easily fetched more money on the auction table.
Jasprit Bumrah View this post on Instagram
Arguably India’s number one fast bowler, Bumrah was retained by five-time champions Mumbai Indians for just Rs 12 cr. We have seen franchises spending crazy money to sign good quality pacers and surely Bumrah would have been the hottest property had he entered the auction.
Kieron Pollard View this post on Instagram
Kieron Pollard has been a loyal Mumbai Indians servant for many years. The retention dynamics meant that the franchise couldn’t offer him more than Rs 6 cr but he didn’t complain. An all-rounder of his calibre would have surely fetched more than that in the auction.
Sunil Narine View this post on Instagram
The West Indies mystery spinner suffered the biggest pay cut among all retained players. KKR picked him as their fourth-choice retention and gave him a contract worth Rs 6 cr, as against Rs 8.5cr that he used to earn till last year.
Anrich Nortje View this post on Instagram
Representing Delhi Capitals, the South African speedster picked up 34 wickets in the last two seasons and played a key role in their success. However, he was retained for Rs 6 cr, an amount that doesn’t justify the talent that he is. Going by the trend, he could have easily earned more than Rs 10 cr in the IPL auction.

When we say the word ‘pillow fight’, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it a brother-sister duel over the TV remote? Or something a little more sensual, fantasy-like visual where two women are dressed in their silky satin pyjamas and playing with pillows and cushions, as the feathers ruffle out?
    © iStock
An image that has forever been replaced in our heads, with something more risque, violent and definitely less sexy. We are talking about a certain Pillow Fight Championship that was organised in Florida, US and needless to say, was the first of its kind.

The championship rules were simple, opponents in the ring had to land pillows on one another and not kicks or punches. The fantasy game was now transformed into a proper combat sport with a winning prize that consisted of a title belt and $5,000 (approx Rs 3.73 lakhs).
The pay-per-view event had 16 men and 8 women take part in this unique and cushy championship and soon after the videos were released on social media, there was a lot of ‘pillow talk’ on twitter that talked about the sport.
    © Twitter
Brazil's Istela Nunes won the coveted title on the women's side, giving a tough competition to American Kendahl Voelker. Of course it wasn’t even close to how men would imagine women fighting with pillows, but it was still a sight we couldn’t not behold.

As far as the men were concerned, Hauley Tillman from the US won the title.
    © Twitter
As per Steve Williams, chief executive of the Pillow Fight Championships, “The fighters don’t like to get hurt, and there’s a lot of people who don’t want to see the blood. They want to see good competition, they just don’t want to see the violence.” And perhaps, that was the idea behind launching this sport.

One user wrote, “Tbh this is far less sexy and much more regulated than I expected or wanted,” while another commented, “Accepting birthday gifts in the form of pillow fighting championship gear.”

As far as taking the combat sport seriously was concerned, CEO Steve Williams called it, “serious. It's hardcore swinging with specialized pillows.” He further went on to clarify that, “The only difference between our fights and MMA fights is that nobody gets hurt."

Ahan Shetty, who made his Bollywood debut with Milan Luthria's Tadap co-starring Tara Sutaria last year, is pleased with the amazing response to his debut flick. His performance too received a favorable response from critics and moviegoers. Now, his fans are eagerly waiting for the announcement of his next film. While there has been a buzz that he has signed Aashiqui 3, the actor neither confirmed nor denied the speculations and shared that he is "not allowed to speak" about it.
    View this post on Instagram
Now, in a recent interview, Ahan revealed the names of his father Suniel Shetty's two films in which he would love to star in. Well, he chose Border and Dhadkan.

Talking about the remake culture in Bollywood, Ahan told IANS, "I absolutely love border so I think ‘Border’ would be a fantastic film to remake and be a part of. I think ‘Dhadkan’ would also be an interesting film to be a part of".
Hmm...great choices. For the unversed, both the films were huge hits and are still popular among moviegoers. While Border (1997) was a multi-starrer war drama set during the India-Pakistan War of 1971, Dhadkan (2000) was a romantic drama co-starring Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar.

Interestingly, Ahan's debut film Tadap too was a remake of the Telugu hit RX 100. Talking further about his upcoming projects, he said, "There are a few interesting things that we have planned. There should be an announcement within a month… Other than that I can say that I have a four-film contract with Sajid Nadiadwala. So I will be working with him again".

All the 10 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises are gearing up for the upcoming mega auction, set to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. The IPL revealed 590 shortlisted names who will go under the hammer in the two-day bidding process which will decide the squads for the upcoming season.
Four Indians made the cut in the list of 10 marquee players but apart from the household names in the tournament, domestic cricketers who have done well in the last few seasons are also expected to fetch crazy bids.
View this post on InstagramOne such name is Tamil Nadu all-rounder Shahrukh Khan, who had represented Punjab Kings last season.
Known for his explosive hitting skills, Shahrukh Khan will be on the radar of many franchises who are looking for a finisher.
The 26-year-old, however, made his intentions clear as to where he wants to go in the upcoming season. In an interview with The Times of India Shahrukh said he idolises Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni and wants to finish games like the former Indian captain used to do.
“I idolise MS Dhoni and want to finish games the way he did for India. I have always looked up to Dhoni and I want to become a finisher like him,” Shahrukh Khan was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
Sharukh’s love for MS Dhoni left fans wondering if the all-rounder is just trying to catch the attention of CSK so that the defending champions bid for him at the upcoming mega auction.

    — Kiran (@schweini_basti) February 2, 2022Shahrukh Khan has played 50 T20 games including 11 IPL matches and has a strike-rate of more than 135.
He can also chip in with a few off-spinners when a regular bowler is having a bad day. A player who can contribute in both aspects of the game is a luxury and it would be great if he can get to play for CSK under MS Dhoni.
View this post on InstagramShahrukh recently made headlines as he won a game for Tamil Nadu with a last-ball six. Under Dhoni, the 26-year-old can become a finished product and it will eventually benefit Team India who are in desperate need of an all-rounder.

Yuzvendra Chahal was not on the retention list of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction. This decision shocked many fans as Chahal has been the go-to bowler for his franchise for many years.
The leg-spinner will be up for grabs at the upcoming IPL mega auction for a base price of Rs 2 crores.

Chahal had picked up 18 wickets last season at an economy rate of less than eight in 15 matches and was one of the reasons why RCB managed to qualify for the playoffs.
Ahead of the auction, Chahal interacted with his fellow Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on the latter’s YouTube channel. Chahal spoke about his bond with MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and his love for RCB. The leg-spinner also opened up on what amount he is expecting the franchises would be willing to pay to rope him in their teams.
Chahal, who has kept his base price at Rs 2 crore, is expected to fetch huge bids as many teams would want an experienced spinner in their armoury. The leg-spinner said his heart is with RCB where he has spent eight years but he is open to be a part of any team.

With this being a mega auction, teams are expected to go big for Indian internationals who have proven themselves in the T20 league and the 31-year-old said no matter which team picks him, he will continue to give his 100 percent.
However, Chahal himself doesn’t want the bid to be in excess of 10-12 crores as he is happy to take home Rs 8 crores.

“I don’t want to say that I want 15 crores or 17 crores, you know, 8 cr is enough for me!” the leg-spinner added.
