    Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has managed to statistically improve his chances of getting picked by one of the 10 franchises during the IPL 2022 Mega Auction by simply making a small tweak in how he will be appearing for the event.
    As the list of all the cricketers who have submitted their names for the bidding event becomes public, it was quickly noticed that the 36-year-old Ambati Rayudu, who used to be a batter for the Men in Blue at the number four spot in the batting order, has registered himself as a wicket-keeper and not a batter.

    This move has increased his chances of being picked by the teams as the number of sets for wicketkeepers is significantly fewer than the number of sets for specialist batters. This also increases the likelihood of his name being called out in the early phase of the auction when most of the teams will still have a lot of money in their purses and would have a relatively open mind about investing in Rayudu’s skill set.
    His fans were in complete awe of the way Rayudu has increased his probability of getting picked by a good franchise for a good price and appreciated the way his mind works.

    Kareena Kapoor Khan has worked with Akshay Kumar in 9 films including Good Newwz (2019), Kambakht Ishq (2009), Gabbar Is Back (2015), Talaash: The Hunt Begins (2003), Ajnabee (2001), Aitraaz (2004), Bewafa (2005), Dosti: Friends Forever (2005) and Tashan (2008). 
    Besides the above mentioned nine films, Kareena has also appeared in a blink and miss cameo alongside Akshay in Rowdy Rathore (2012).

    So, it was interesting to note that Kareena finds it “weird” romancing Akshay on-screen. She explained the same on a chat show The Icons with Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna. 

    While talking about her sister Karisma Kapoor’s career as one of the top actresses of the ‘90s, Kareena stated, “I am romancing all of Lolo's (Karisma) co-stars, it's so weird. (During) Akshay's first shot, I was in my school uniform. It's been such a long time, it just shows how amazing he is rather than me.”

    Twinkle, however, had a different take on the issue as she disagreed with Kareena by saying, “Maybe not, it also shows that here men can just have these long careers and women…” 

    Kareena then interrupted adding, “But now we are proving them wrong.” Twinkle then pointed out how Kareena is still at the top of her game despite being in the industry for over 20 years. 
    During the chat, Twinkle also mentioned that she is sure Kareena will still be working at 75. The Good Newwz actress then added jokingly, “Well, if I am 75, I know one thing that I will be working with Akshay Kumar for sure because he’ll still be working. I am telling you, he is already planning some two-hero film with Taimur. He has already told me that.”

    It was reported that there was a time when Sussanne was so upset that she left the Roshan house and went to live with her parents.

    S. Sreesanth has been added to the Indian Premier League auction list at the age of 39, with a starting price of Rs 50 lakh. The fast bowler had also registered for the IPL auction last year, causing a stir among cricket circles. The then 38-year-old speedster from Kerala, however, did not make it to the final auction list announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). 
    Watching his name finally appear in the list of players who are qualified for bidding at the IPL 2022 mega auction, the speedster wrote a heartfelt message on Twitter, thanking all his well-wishers and asking his followers to keep him in their prayers and hope that he returns to the iconic tournament that the IPL has become.

    After serving a seven-year suspension for his suspected role in the spot-fixing incident, the speedster played for Kerala in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year, taking four wickets. Sreesanth had set a base price of Rs 75 lakh for himself ahead of the 2021 season. This year, however, he did not play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy or the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
    Sreesanth, who was previously regarded as one of the best right-arm fast bowlers in the world, was arrested in Mumbai in 2013 alongside two other Rajasthan Royals colleagues, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila, for their involvement in IPL spot-fixing. Despite the fact that his seven-year suspension was lifted last year, IPL clubs were hesitant to choose him.

    Even though he was absolved of his mistakes by the Indian Supreme Court back in 2019 and his spot-fixing allegations were no more of an official factor hindering his career as a cricketer, teams were simply not aboard the idea of having him on their roster because of his age, the lack of playing time and the presence of a lot of great pacers who are way younger than him and have registered their names at the base price as well.
    This time, a total of 590 players will be auctioned off, comprising 228 capped players, 355 uncapped players, and seven cricketers from associate nations. The auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12-13.
    His fans have backed him a hundred per cent this time around and are not interested in anyone who has anything negative to say about the cricketer’s return to his greatest love for cricket.

    Hardik Pandya, who was last seen in action in the T20 World Cup last year, has been away from cricket for over two months due to injury. The all-rounder is set to return with the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). 
    Hardik has played for the five-time champions Mumbai Indians ever since he made his debut in the IPL. However, the franchise did not retain him ahead of the mega auction and the all-rounder was roped in by one of the two new IPL teams – Ahmedabad. Hardik, who hails from Gujarat, will be captaining an IPL team for the first time in his career.

    While Hardik may not have the experience to lead an IPL team, he has played under the likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and the all-rounder wants to emulate the captaincy skills he has picked up from these stalwarts of Indian cricket.

    “There's no manual of learning how to become a captain. I've always been a person who likes to take responsibility and I am looking forward to the challenge. As a captain, I want to ensure all the players have enough time from me. That's what I've learnt and I'll make sure my doors will always be open for them,” Hardik was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

    The 2018 tour of South Africa was a huge milestone for Chahal as he established himself as India’s leading spinner. His performance played a huge role in helping the visitors clinch both ODI and T20I series in the Rainbow Nation.

    It was a memorable tour for Chahal but there was one match where he got proper hiding and leaked 64 runs in his four-over spell, without picking up any wicket.

    Recalling this whole incident on Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube show ‘DRS with Ash’, Chahal shared how Dhoni's advice helped him not take that performance to his heart.

    “Mahi bhai had told me to come around the wicket. I did that and he (Klaasen) hit me for a six over the biggest boundary at mid-wicket. Then Mahi bhai came to me and I asked, 'Yes Mahi bhai, ab kya karna hai? He said 'Kuch nahi, main to waise hi aa gaya tere paas.’ I know it's not your day, you are trying but it isn't happening. Zyada sochna nahi, apne chaar ka quota khatam kar aur chill kar,” Chahal said on Ashwin’s show.

Well, she wasn’t bogged down by all the hate that came her way but people on social media always find ways to troll her.     As per a report by iwmbuzz, she charged Rs 5 crore for that 3-minute dance number. A source told the portal, “Oh, she has charged a bomb for the Oo Antava dance number. Believe me, she was very reluctant. The film’s leading man Allu Arjun personally took the effort to convince her.”

    The latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: No Way Home has turned out to be their second biggest at the US box office and third biggest at the global box office.  
    At the global box office, the film has collected $1.739 billion and is currently at the sixth position in all time grossers list. The top 5 films in the list include Avatar ($2.84 billion), Avengers: Endgame ($2.79 billion), Titanic ($2.20 billion), Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens ($2.069 billion) and Avengers: Infinity War ($2.048 billion).  
    At the US box office, the film is currently at the fourth spot with $736.8 million. The top 3 films in the list include Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens ($936.6 million), Avengers: Endgame ($858.3 million) and Avatar ($760.5 million).

    As you can see, Spider-Man: No Way Home will soon surpass Avatar at the US box office and will take the third spot. Beating a film that is the biggest grosser worldwide is a huge deal. 

    Funnily enough, Tom Holland wasn’t aware of it. This news was broken to him mid-interview, recently, and his reaction was pure gold.

    However, when it comes to the Royal Challengers Bangalore, all eyes are on their selection committee and the scouting reports. Fans wanted to know the top players that Bengaluru might be getting into a bidding war for, if push comes to shove during the auction.
    Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra says that the biggest target on RCB’s scouting board belongs to the former Delhi Capitals skipper and batter Shreyas Iyer, who was ruled out of the first half of IPL 2021 because of a shoulder injury and later his captaincy was permanently handed over to his teammate Rishabh Pant.

    Ever since Virat Kohli stepped down as the captain of the championship-less franchise at the end of the 2021 season of the IPL, there have been multiple speculations about who could become the team’s new skipper. A couple of months ago, there were reports about how the RCB might gun for Manish Pandey and make him the new leader, others felt that Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell might be chosen for the opportunity.
    However, chasing Iyer during the auction might not be a bad idea either. Back when he was the DC captain, he had a winning record and his side finished at the second spot at the points table as well. Iyer has specifically expressed wanting to captain a squad in the past and with his prowess as a batter in the shortest format of the game, he would be the greatest asset the RCB have had since recruiting Kohli back in 2008 and developing him into a true leader.
    But looking at the Bengaluru squad’s track record, disheartened fans aren’t seeing any light at the end of the tunnel and simply feel that they may still not win a championship despite having a new leader and a packed roster to support him:

    Well, it is a known fact that Hrithik was earlier married to Sussanne Khan. However, not many are aware that Saba was earlier in a relationship with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah's son Imaad Shah, who is an actor and musician by profession. Reportedly, they started dating in 2013 and Imaad had even revealed this in the public by claiming that they were living together. The latest update is that the ex-couple was in a live-in relationship for 7 years. Yes, you read that right!
    Revealing the same, a source informed ETimes, "Imaad and Saba parted ways in 2020. At least they were together until 2020. And, yes they were living-in till then".

    Imaad, on the other hand, made his acting debut with Yun Hota To Kya Hota which was released in 2006. Co-starring Irrfan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ayesha Takia among others, the film marked his father Naseeruddin Shah's directorial debut. His statements have often landed him in controversies, with people questioning him. In 2020, Vijay stirred a controversy when he shared his views on the country’s political system. Interacting with Baradwaj Rangan and Anupama Chopra for Film Companion, the Arjun Reddy actor said that he does not believe everyone should be allowed to vote. He mentioned that middle class people are more at stake and people who are getting influenced by alcohol and money shouldn’t be allowed to vote.  
    He said, “The political system itself in some way is not making sense, as in how we go about the elections is not making sense in some way. I don’t even think everyone should be allowed to vote.”

    Elaborating his concept with an example, the 31-year-old superstar said, "Like so there is this concept that when you get on a plane and flying to Bombay, would we all decide who will fly the plane? Like we should let the 300 people on the plane decide who is going to go on that plane? No, we let an efficient agency like the airlines decide who is most competent, or who understands the business or the best person possible to fly the plane."  
    Did he just say that he prefers Dictatorship more than democracy and not everyone should be allowed to vote?

    He also added, “Why are they having money swinger votes? Why are they having cheap alcohol swinger votes? It’s ridiculous. I am not even saying that rich people should vote. I think the middle class who have the most at stake and people who are educated and people who don’t get swung by a little money should vote. That is why I say everybody should not be allowed to vote because they don’t even know who they are voting for and why they are voting for.”

I’m having good intentions, you don’t know what’s good for you, maybe, but just stick to this and five or 10 years down the line it’s going to pay off. I think somewhere dictatorship is the right way but you need to have a good guy,” added the actor.  
    His remarks drew flak from people who bashed him for his ignorance of democratic values and even called him a ‘pretentious intellectual’.

    As the Indian cricket team prepares itself to host the touring West Indies side for a three-match ODI series starting on February 6, 2022, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the match’s official broadcast partner, Star Sports released a new rap song on the newly appointed ODI skipper Rohit Sharma.
    Titled ‘Naya Captain Rohit’, the song is composed by rapper RcR and is dedicated to one of the biggest names in the Men in Blue, Rohit Sharma, who has replaced Virat Kohli as the new skipper of the squad and will be playing in his first match since the coronation back in December 2021.

    While the song is catchy and portrays Sharma’s personality realistically and in the best way possible, not everyone felt that it was the best way to recognise the new captain. Furthermore, there are also a few people who were simply unimpressed with the song and even added that they preferred the one rap song Star Sports had created with Kohli as the centre of attention.

His fans were already bragging about how the rap song from over six years ago continues to be better than Sharma’s song today.
    Although not everyone was a fan of Kohli’s rap back in the day, it did turn out to be rather catchy and over the years more and more people have revisited the ‘anthem’ and developed a taste for it.

    One thing is for sure… whether it is the batters’ performance on the field, the power struggle related to the captaincy of the Indian cricket team or even their personal lifestyles, the two biggest names of the game in India have extremely dedicated fanbases who are always at each other’s throats trying to justify why their idol cricketer is better.
    Having said that, this will be for the first time since March 2021 that both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be playing in the same ODI match together. While the followers of the game are keen to see how the Hitman performs under the added pressure of becoming the captain, they are also interested in seeing what good does the lack of captainship do to Kohli when he steps onto the pitch to bat.
