Kareena Kapoor Khan has worked with Akshay Kumar in 9 films including Good Newwz (2019), Kambakht Ishq (2009), Gabbar Is Back (2015), Talaash: The Hunt Begins (2003), Ajnabee (2001), Aitraaz (2004), Bewafa (2005), Dosti: Friends Forever (2005) and Tashan (2008). 

Besides the above mentioned nine films, Kareena has also appeared in a blink and miss cameo alongside Akshay in Rowdy Rathore (2012). 

Irrespective of their film’s box office fate, their pairing has always been appreciated and the two share a good chemistry between them.

So, it was interesting to note that Kareena finds it “weird” romancing Akshay on-screen. She explained the same on a chat show The Icons with Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna. 

While talking about her sister Karisma Kapoor’s career as one of the top actresses of the ‘90s, Kareena stated, “I am romancing all of Lolo's (Karisma) co-stars, it's so weird. (During) Akshay's first shot, I was in my school uniform. It's been such a long time, it just shows how amazing he is rather than me.”

Twinkle, however, had a different take on the issue as she disagreed with Kareena by saying, “Maybe not, it also shows that here men can just have these long careers and women…” 

Kareena then interrupted adding, “But now we are proving them wrong.” Twinkle then pointed out how Kareena is still at the top of her game despite being in the industry for over 20 years. 

During the chat, Twinkle also mentioned that she is sure Kareena will still be working at 75. The Good Newwz actress then added jokingly, “Well, if I am 75, I know one thing that I will be working with Akshay Kumar for sure because he’ll still be working. I am telling you, he is already planning some two-hero film with Taimur. He has already told me that.”

As for Akshay Kumar and Karisma Kapoor’s pairing, the two have worked together in films like Deedar (1992), Suhaag (1994), Sapoot (1996), Lahu Ke Do Rang (1997), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Jaanwar (1999), Ek Rishta: The Bond of Love (2001), Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya (2002) and Mere Jeevan Saathi (2006).
