    If we were to sum up Kartik Aaryan’s style statement in three words, it would be comfortable, casual and chic.
    His sartorial choices are no less than runway looks from a streetwear fashion show but what we see in all of his looks is they are breezy, relaxed and more sporty than structured and tailored fits.

    The same goes for his footwear picks. 

    While his red carpet fixture is a good pair of black brogues or loafers, he often trusts his statement sneakers for basically every other event or public outing. It seems like he could even pair his tux or black tie outfit with edgy sneakers if he could, which he has.

    He stepped out recently in one such casual and stylish outfit to a recording studio, probably for his film. He wore an oversized hooded sweatshirt and a beanie, considering the surprisingly chilly Mumbai weather of late, and paired them with ripped black denims. 

    The Rs 30k sweatshirt from the brand Val. Kristopher has a cool, unsewn hemline detailing. However, it’s not as cool as his sneakers that are worth much more.

    His funky sneakers are what grabbed all the attention. He is wearing the Maison Margiela Fusion sneakers in multicolour pattern in black, white and pink which complement his powder pink sweatshirt and completes the look well.

    KL Rahul had a horrendous start to his captaincy stint in international cricket as he lost all the four matches – one Test and three ODIs – in which he led Team India in their tour to South Africa last month.  
    Rahul was named the captain after the then regular skipper Virat Kohli was ruled out of the second Test against South Africa due to back spasms. However, he failed to inspire the team to a win as the visitors lost the match by seven wickets.  
    That's that from the final ODI. South Africa win by 4 runs and take the series 3-0.

    The 29-year-old led India in all the three ODIs of the three-match series in the Rainbow nation but the visitors were humbled by the Proteas in every game as they suffered a cleansweep in the 50-over format.  
    While Rahul was in South Africa, he received positive news from the Indian Premier League (IPL). One of the two new franchises, Lucknow Super Giants, appointed him as their captain for the 15th edition of the franchise-based T20 league.  
    Former India world cup-winning batter Gautam Gambhir was also roped in by the Lucknow-based franchise as their mentor for the upcoming IPL season.

    Speaking on KL Rahul’s skills as a leader, Gambhir said that people should not judge him based on just four games as the opening batter has all the attributes required to be a successful captain.  
    “Sometimes we start relating someone just with performances and the results. It's too early to judge someone by just captaining 4 game,” Gambhir was quoted as saying by India Today. 
    “Whatever I have seen of KL, he has a great, great future ahead not only as a batter but as a leader as well. Because that is a quality that very few people have - being calm and composed. When you start doing that, that reflects on the entire team as well,” he added.
    These comments were not received well by fans as they pointed out Gambhir’s double standards while analysing an individual.

    The Indian Premier League (IPL) announced a list of 590 players who are set to go under the hammer at the upcoming mega auction in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. 
    Out of the 590, 370 Indian cricketers and 220 international stars have been shortlisted by franchises out of the 1,214 players who registered for the two-day mega IPL auction.
    The likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner and Shreyas Iyer have been named in the list of 10 marquee players.

    Among many surprise names in the shortlisted list of players, one that caught the attention of fans was the son of legendary former Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar – Arjun.  
    Arjun Tendulkar, last year, was bought by the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians but the all-rounder did not get a game and was ruled out midway into the season due to an injury. 
    The 22-year-old had registered for this year’s player auction as well and despite not playing any competitive cricket for over a year, his name was still among the 590 shortlisted players.

    Arjun Tendulkar has kept his base price at Rs 20 lakh, the same as it was during last year’s IPL player auction. 
    Seeing Arjun’s name in the list of players who are set to go under the hammer saw fans taking subtle digs at the youngster. Some called him a ‘nepotism product’ while a few went too far ahead and termed the all-rounder as the official water boy of Mumbai Indians.

    Speculations are doing the rounds on social media that the BCCI is keen to host the tournament in India but in case the Covid situation doesn’t allow it to happen, the Indian board might take the tournament to South Africa or Sri Lanka.

    Biopic as a genre has always found many takers. As makers, the theme is super challenging and sticking true to the story is pivotal. As an actor, it’s a creatively satisfying experience to mould oneself in a role that requires you to tell the tale of someone else. For the audience, it is obviously adrenaline pumping and the emotional connection is omnipresent.

    Back in 2018 when Soorma released, it put Diljit Dosanjh in a new light. His fans and the audience at large were pleasantly surprised and mighty impressed with his impeccable performance. The movie follows the trials and tribulations of Sandeep Singh, former Indian Hockey team captain.

    However, it turns out that Diljit was not the first actor who was approached for the role. The makers initially had Ranveer Singh in mind to essay the role. However, Sandeep Singh was unsure how real and authentic Ranveer would look in the movie.
    In an interview with India Today he explained what went behind the scenes of zeroing down Diljit for the lead role.
    “Ranveer Singh was definitely considered as the lead actor instead of Diljit Dosanjh. However, he was not my first choice. His look as a Sikh appealed to everyone, and they thought that he would be a good fit for Soorma. Soon, rumours started doing the rounds that he has been roped in for the role. But, if you ask me, I always wanted the person who'd play my role in the film to look like a real Sikh. It should not become a joke because my life has been full of struggles, and it should be justified on screen. Diljit Dosanjh did exactly that,” he said.

    The movie was an emotionally moving tale of how Sandeep Singh was in bed, paralysed for a long time before he nurtured back to playing Hockey and leading India to victory. “It was really easy training Diljit Dosanjh because his nature is such that he picks up things really quick. It took me hardly three-four months to train Diljit because his learning power is quick,” he further explained. The movie was directed by Shaad Ali and also starred Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles.

    Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu  said she was 'heartbroken' by the tragic passing away of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst.
    The news of Kryst's death broke on Sunday when it was reported that she jumped from a higher elevation of a 60-storey condominium in New York.

    As per E! News, a spokesperson of the New York Police Department pronounced Kryst dead at the scene on Sunday.

    Cheslie, who was also a fashion blogger and a lawyer, had also worked as a reporter for the Extra TV show.
    According to reports, Kryst was last seen on a terrace window of the building’s 29th floor shortly after 7 am. The former Miss USA had a ninth-floor apartment in Manhattan’s 60-story Orion Building, the one she reportedly jumped from.  
    “In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined. Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA, and as a host on Extra. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor, and colleague -- we know her impact will live on. As we reflect on our loss, the family asks for privacy at this time." her family said in a statement.
    The news sent shockwaves across the world of glamour, with Harnaaz too being shaken by it.

    Taking to Instagram, Harnaaz revealed how she was heartbroken following her death, and also spoke on how Cheslie was an inspiration to many people. 

    The 21-year-old posted a picture of her and Cheslie, and wrote, "This is heartbreaking and unbelievable, you were always an inspiration to many. Rest In Peace Cheslie."

    In the picture posted on Instagram, Harnaaz and Cheslie both can be seen smiling in what appears to be taken right after Harnaaz was crowned the 70th Miss Universe 2021.

    Born in Michigan, USA in 1991, Kryst actually had gone on to become a lawyer after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law.
    It was later in 2019 when she won the title of Miss North Carolina USA and later was crowned Miss USA 2019.

    The thing about putting 5 to 7 influential, super successful and competitive entrepreneurs in a room - apart from brewing some interesting and top off the chart business ideas or controversy, is that it also often gives rise to ego clashes. 
    Yes, the show is about people like you and I coming to pitch their ideas and seek funding, but the other aspect of it is also to get at least one shark or more sharks on board, and that can lead to some unfiltered debates between the sharks on the panel as well.

    As was the case recently when Anupam Mittal, Shaadi.com CEO and founder got hurt over something that BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover  had said while trying to woo a contestant into choosing his offer over Anupam’s.

    Ashneer said, “Isne ek brand banaya, maine do brand banaye. Maine BharatPe bhi banaya, maine PostPe bhi banaya, pehle maine Grofers bhi banaya, toh brand ki toh baat mat karo mere se (He built just one brand, whereas I built BharatPe, PostPe and before that, I built Grofers. So, don’t try to teach me about building a brand).”

    And while he was just stating a fact, perhaps his way of delivering that truth bomb was a little too insensitive and that is what ended up hurting the sentiments of Anupam Mittal, who is one of the most successful entrepreneurs at his age right now.

    In a candid chat with radio and tv show host, Siddharth Kannan, the Shaadi.com CEO was asked whether or not he was bothered by that comment. Anupam replied saying, “See, if I say no, I will be lying. Ego is a part of your normal reaction. If someone says something to you, you are bound to react. How you act on your reaction depends on you. You might feel, ‘How could he say this?’ But you need to understand if it is your ego, intellect, emotion or conditioning speaking. These four are very different things. Over time, I have learnt that. I analyse carefully.”

    He went on to add, “After a minute, I understood that there is a difference between building a brand and advertising. I told him on the show, ‘Anyone can spend on advertising. When your brand is known in every home for 15-20 years, that is an achievement. Talk to me once you build that.’ I said it on the show, I am not saying it behind his back. When you tell yourself that, you understand, ‘People will tell you anything to feel better, it doesn’t mean…’ You can only be put down if you allow yourself to be put down. I don’t give anybody that privilege.” 

    And while such tough words were exchanged over the topic where Ashneer Grover might have rubbed Anupam Mittal the wrong way with his brazen words, no love was lost between the two ‘Sharks’.

    Rumour has it that the opening of the multiverse in NWH means that there will be a lot more exciting characters that will make an appearance in Multiverse Of Madness, with Tom Cruise's Iron Man being of the characters.

    Now, while Dr. Strange 2 will hit the theatres in summer this year, we really wonder what lies ahead for Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

    As we already know, Marvel's Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige have already been in discussions with Tom over what could be another Spider-Man trilogy.
    Well, looks like there are ideas already in place about what could Tom's Spider-Man 4 film be like, and Tom himself has spoken about it.

    Yep! According to Tom, who was speaking on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, the new Spider-Man MCU film may be a crossover with an interesting character appearing in the movie.

    The character will be none other than the very popular Yelena from Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow movie and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye TV series.

    Yelena, played by actress Florence Pugh, has really struck a chord with the fans despite the Black Widow film and Hawkeye series getting mixed reviews.

    And according to Tom, he has already spoken to Florence about a potential crossover Spider-Man movie. “It hasn’t been suggested to the big bosses yet, but Florence and I have definitely spoken about it, and hopefully one day we can make that happen. That would be very cool,” said Tom.
    For now, Tom is already busy with the upcoming Uncharted film, where he will be playing the adventure junkie and treasure hunter Nathan Drake. 
    The movie, based on a famous Playstation game series by Naughty Dog, will surely increase his popularity even further.
