Growing up in a world where we had no OTT platforms, YouTube or access to Cineplexes, adult rated movies obviously piqued the interest of every teenager. Once we were all grown up and access to these things became easy, a lot of people understood that it was an over hyped concept. Not all ‘A’ rated movies are classics, or tastefully made to cater to a certain section of the audience. Some films are more weird than sexy and here are 5 such films which left us quite bummed:

    1. B.A PassThe neo-noir movie was based on a short story and talks about a married woman ushering a young college boy into the world of *** and becoming a gigolo for older women. While the concept and topic was interesting, the movie lacked treatment and the *** scenes were a little weird. Full marks to Shilpa Shukla though for her bold act in the movie. Her performance was strong.

    2. GirlfriendBollywood’s extremely bold attempt at trying its hand at Lesbian romance in an age when the India audience was not ready for it. Starring Isha Koppikar and Amrita Arora, the movie gets all the appreciation for attempting a bold story line. However, it all ends there only.

    3. SinsShiney Ahuja as a Father of the church who treads the path of forbidden romance with a young girl named Rosemary did not go down well with the audience and the movie was weird in so many ways. The movie angered a certain section of the Indian audience and some people just didn’t like Shiney’s acting.

    4. HawasBased on Richard Gere’s Unfaithful, this one stars Kaliyon Ka Chaman girl Meghna Naidu and follows the story of a housewife who finds solace in the arms of another man. While the story was borrowed, it was translated weirdly on the screen for some reason!

    5. Grand MastiThe Masti series was a big commercial hit, but Grand Masti was one movie whose story line we just could not fathom. The story shows Amar, Prem and Meet who decide to go to their college reunion and then problem follows.

Everyone’s current favourite show, Shark Tank India is right now trending more for the judges on the panel, than the contestants. Talking about the judges, one person who has become the centre of every meme fest on the internet is BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover. The man loves jokes floating on social media and is now known for a word that he’s actually made famous, i.e ‘dogalapan’. Ashneer is currently amidst a controversy after a leaked audio clip has put him in murky waters. As we continue enjoying the banter on the show, here’s looking at his stellar car collection.

    1. Maybach S650Well, the car spells money and luxury, fit for an entrepreneur who dreams high. It is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 Biturbo petrol engine, and is priced at around Rs 2.5 crore.

    2. Porsche CaymanAshneer owns a bright green Cayman, which is perfect for taking out on a spin on Delhi roads (if the traffic allows!). Arguably one of the best sports coupes out there, this one comes with a price tag of around Rs 1.22 crore.

    3. Mercedes Benz GLS 350This white SUV is a practical car embedded with luxury for those who want it and afford it.  This car was also one of the highest luxury seven seater cars in the country, so that explains the love consumers have for this. The price tag for this one is around Rs. 77.68 lakhs.

Bollywood, of today, is quite different from the Bollywood of the ‘90s. One look at the stars, the films, the gossip and it all seems like from a different timeline altogether.
In today’s throwback to the ‘90s, we will take a look at the lesser-known affair that made headlines in the mid-’90s but has since then flown under the radar post-'00s.
Did you know, that before marrying Seema Khan of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives fame, Sohail Khan was in a serious relationship with Pooja Bhatt? So much so, that the two had even discussed marriage plans.
In a throwback interview with Stardust from 1995, Pooja Bhatt had talked about her relationship with Sohail, their marriage plans, her equation with his siblings and the initial rift with his star brother Salman Khan.

When asked about her boyfriend Sohail Khan and his family, Pooja had stated, “I’m so comfortable with his family too. They're really nice. I feel so welcome there. I'm made to feel that I belong. I respect them all so much because there are no questions asked. They let me be what I am, not what I was. They like me for my one-to-one interaction. They're like my family.”

She added, “I'm very, very fond of his father. I met Arbaaz only recently and I like him a lot. Baby (Alvira ) is very nice. His mom is so wonderful, they're all very warm. I agree Salman and I hated each other initially for some weird reason. We just didn't get along. And that was made out to be this great ‘war' between us. I guess it started because I didn't do the film Love or whatever. But, today we get along very well too. In fact, we're one big happy family.”

Further talking about her relationship with Sohail and their marriage plans, she stated, “I'm aware of the fact that there are a lot of critics out there who're already putting a time limit on our relationship. I don't even want to waste time reacting. Marriage is definitely on my mind, but Sohail is just on the threshold of an exciting, new career as a director and I want to work two more years before deciding on the venue and the menu. We do want a future together. Not just as in the normal culmination of any relationship but in wanting to be together. I want it and so does he. Ours is a relationship that has grown due to various factors - trust, respect, understanding - everything is covered. Ultimately, we know the value of our relationship. But ill-wishers will be ill-wishers. There'll always be the negative types. Like see, there are lawyers who'll always pray that people do illegal things or there are divorces, so they can make a living out of it. Voyeurism is a hobby of the world. But I'm mature. I'm not living on anyone else's terms but my own. Be it professional or personal, or anything. I'm only answerable to myself and I only compromise with myself. As for the rest of the world, they can go to hell.”

In 2003, Pooja married Manish Makhija and after 11 years of marriage got separated in 2014.

We often don’t realise what drags down our own happiness, be it a workplace, a relationship or little things in our own lifestyle, because we get so used to the toxic behaviour and things around us.
We let things pass most times because we deem them to be normal or common and nothing too extraordinary to notice or fix.

A toxic workplace is a perfect example of how we overlook bad behaviour and stressful culture because we think that’s how things at any office work.

    However, that’s not true.
People on Reddit discussed in a thread some of the things that are considered normal at the workplace but are actually toxic. Consider them as red flags.

From colleagues bad-mouthing each other to redundant zoom calls, here are some common things at a workplace that we don’t realise are toxic:

    1. Colleagues’ Equation With Each Other
“When all your coworkers talk shit about each other behind their backs, you know they're talking shit about you behind your back, too.” –galactic-avatar
    2. If No One Smiles, It’s Because They’re Dead Inside
“No one ever smiles. I get a lot of people have RBF and aren’t required to smile all day long, but if I walk through my entire workplace and not one person looks even remotely enthused then I probably am in a toxic environment.  At my last job, you could go weeks without even hearing someone laugh in be break room because everyone was so dead.” –azcardsfan2056

    3. When It’s Way Too ‘Parivarik Mahaul’

"When there's too much of a family vibe going on. From my experience, it usually means the boss lets a lot of shitty things pass and when they try to reprimand an employee it's never taken seriously. Everyone does whatever they want and lots of time is wasted." –EucaMintLavender
    4. Zoom Meetings Go In Vain, Every Time
“When your manager hosts meetings to improve/resolve an issue in terms of structure/organisation, literally shoots down every single idea presented and then leaves angry because nothing was resolved.”
    5. Dumping Workload Gift Wrapped As Training
“They put as many tasks as they can on the newer people and call it training.” Shadowy13

    6. Online Work Discussions At Odd Hours

“Having an off-the-clock group chat was something I didn’t sign up for at my last job. The atmosphere gave me anxiety to begin with, and every time I’d get a non-work-related group message from them, I’d want to throw my phone. Maybe I’m just old, an introvert, or both, but please give me personal space, LMAO." —mk1989
    7. When It Feels Like High School Musical: Office Edition
“When it feels like you're in school again. If there's actively petty drama, it means either the boss doesn't know or doesn't stop it. Either way is no good. Also, the moment you start getting criticized for anything not related to your work (looks, intelligence, etc.). You shouldn't be getting paid to be bullied.” –Notasupervillan

We often overlook these subtle signs and go about it until we feel so overworked and overwhelmed with the toxicity in the workplace that we are left with no choice but to quit for the sake of our mental health.

Instead of ignoring them, notice these red flags and save yourself in time.
