    Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor featured a tribute to the late Sushant Singh Rajput in the opening credits. The reason for such a tribute was that the film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor. 
    Abhishek had launched Sushant with the 2013 film Kai Po Che and later worked with him in the 2018 release Kedarnath. 
    Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Abhishek opened up about Sushant and mentioned how he was not acknowledged until he passed away. 
    He gave an example of Sonchiriya, which, despite receiving rave reviews, failed at the box office.

    He said, “Sonchiriya and Sushant did get a lot of love after his passing away. Maybe the media didn’t acknowledge him for his work. Like in Kedarnath and how there is something in that film and there is love, truth in it. But it was not acknowledged until he passed away, which suddenly jolted people out of their slumber and they all stood up to say that they love this guy. He was a special man, it’s a big loss that he is not around here.” 

    Before the release of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, it was rumoured that Sushant was the first choice for the lead role that was eventually played by Ayushmann Khurrana.
    When Abhishek was asked about it, he quashed the rumour and mentioned that Sushant wasn’t the first choice as the casting of the film began after the untimely demise of the actor. 
    He said, “No, no, I have heard this rumour as well. But this is a guy from Punjab. The casting of the film began after his passing away. I had not even finished the script, normally I don’t cast in a film until it is written.”

    Earlier, in an interview, Abhishek had stated how Sushant was made to believe he wasn’t loved when he was alive.

    Ayushmann Khurrana has purchased a house in Mumbai along with his brother Aparshakti Khurana for a whopping amount that is close to the box office collection of his last release Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. 
    According to a report in Moneycontrol, Ayushmann has purchased 2 units on the 20th floor of Windsor Grande Residences, Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West from the developer Windsor Realty Pvt Ltd.

    The deed of the apartment was registered on November 29, 2021, with Rs 96.50 lakh of stamp duty paid. 

    The cost of the apartment is said to be a staggering Rs 19.30 crore which is in the same range as the lifetime box office of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which collected Rs 22 crore approx, according to Box Office India. 
    The apartment purchased by Ayushmann is 4027 sq ft in size and has four car parking spaces. 
    Similarly, Ayushmann’s younger brother Aparshakti too purchased an apartment in the same complex for Rs 7.25 crore. 
    He paid a Rs 36.25 lakh stamp duty on it and was registered on December 7, 2021. The size of his apartment is 1745 sq ft and comes with 2 parking spaces.

    As for Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, the film was released on December 10 on the big screen and is directed by Abhishek Kapoor of Rock On, Kai Po Che and Kedarnath fame.

    The film failed to make a mark at the box office upon its theatrical release despite receiving a positive response from critics and the audience. 

    The film is currently streaming on Netflix and has been enjoying good viewership with acclaim towards the subject and performances.

    Rahul Dravid, the former India skipper and the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, turned 49 on Tuesday. Dravid hung up his boots nearly a decade ago but that hasn’t affected his popularity one bit.
    He is arguably one of the most loved cricketers in the country which is why it was no surprise that the whole social media erupted on his 49th birthday. From fans to former teammates, everyone wished the Bengaluru cricketer in their own style.

    Apart from being a terrific batter, Dravid was a leader par excellence. Under him, India achieved some great results but the biggest highlight of his captaincy period was the Test series win on English soil in 2007.

    Throughout his playing career, Dravid was known for his cool and calm demeanour. For him playing the sport with the right spirit was more important than a win or loss. If there was one player who justified the famous phrase ‘cricket is a gentleman’s game’, it was Dravid.
    That said, there were a few instances during his playing career when Dravid lost his cool and the whole world witnessed his anger.

    We all know how Dravid once scolded Dhoni for playing a rash shot and throwing away his wicket against arch-rival Pakistan.

    Another famous incident that most people know about is when Dravid threw a chair inside the dressing room after India had suffered a humiliating 212-run defeat at the hands of England.

    However, not many people know that Dravid once lost his cool on a journalist in Pakistan who asked him about the possible match-fixing. Dravid, who was India’s vice-captain back then, got angry after a reporter alleged that the bookies might have influenced the outcome of the ODI series.

    The Indian batting legend lashed out at the journalist for asking a “nonsense” question and urged the organisers to throw him out of the press conference.

    “Will someone take this man out of the room. This is nonsense. These kinds of things are bad for sports,” Dravid had said during the press conference in Lahore.

    Not just Dravid, even Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq was asked a similar question during the press conference and he responded by telling the reporter to “shut up”.

    Obviously, nobody likes to see a cricketer getting angry over a journalist but sometimes such strong words are needed to end the matter once and for all and that is what Dravid did during that press conference.

    Well, the dynamics of this also exist in Bollywood, where there are so many couples that are known as power couples.
    We have Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Kajol, and Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna amongst a few.

    Ask anyone and they'll tell you that almost all of them have been instrumental in their better halves being where they are right now.

    This brings us to another power couple that is also very renowned in Bollywood.

    Shah Rukh Khan fans (there are so many), obviously, are very well versed with the romantic story of Gauri and Shah Rukh, and how the Pathan star ended up marrying the love of his life.

    Well, since their marriage in 1991, the two have literally built a dynasty together along with their three children.
    Now, with Shah Rukh already being the undoubted Baadshaah of romance, you'd feel Gauri wouldn't have any troubles with him. Right?
    Well, it didn't appear to be that way once.
    Yeah! Apparently, there was a time when the interior designer was appearing on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan show when she said something that shocked everyone.
    Gauri was candidly speaking with Karan and Sussanne Khan when she revealed that the star wives of superstars had been running away and she would end up doing the same.
    Gauri was asked by Karan who she thinks is the biggest superstar wife.
    She replied, "you know, the thing is that most wives have run away or are planning to run away, I am including myself."
    The statement obviously stunned both Sussanne and Karan, with the director instantly saying, "you have a happy marriage."
    Now, we feel that it was obviously a light joke from Gauri with the couple obviously showcasing their love and respect for each other for the longest time.
    Many know the couple to be very mature, with Shah Rukh and Gauri both going through the ups and downs of the Bollywood journey from the very beginning.
    Gauri was even praised by Jaya Bachchan for being very important to Shah Rukh, with Karan actually showing a clip of Amitabh's wife saying just that.
    "I think Gauri is very comfortable with her position and her relationship, she looks comfortable. She is very secure, she knows that she is very important for him. You can see it. It's wonderful because I can really see him conveying that to her." said Jaya.
    Now, that's one relationship almost everyone can learn a lot from.
