One of the most common questions that vegetarians ask when it comes to muscle building, is what to eat for optimal muscle growth. While there are multiple protein sources for vegetariansΒ that can help them, when it comes to actual vegetables, some are just superiorΒ when we take muscle building as a goal.

    via GIPHY
Vegetables may not be the best source of protein, technically speaking, but there are 3 veggies that will make sure that your muscle building journey gets easier by simply including them in your diet.

    1. Spinach Β© Pexels
If you eat spinach every single day, you're making your body more likely to become a muscle machine, as compared to people who don't. Of course, you must adhere to quantified nutrition and resistance training too. One thing that most people don't know, is that scientists from Freie UniversitΓ€t Berlin were so surprised by the results of their study, they’ve called for WADA (the World Anti-Doping Agency) to include ecdysterone – a hormone found in spinach – in the list of prohibited substances for athletes. No wonder Popeye used to have it all the time!

    via GIPHY
Spinach has a bunch of other impressive benefits - right from amazing skin because of antioxidants and vitamins, to more satiety as well as quality fiber, to lowering cholesterol, and even protection from cancer.Β
    2. Broccoli Β© Pexels
Research has shown that broccoli helps with the anabolic aspects of Testosterone such as muscle building, while simultaneously decreasing Estrogenic effects like water retention as well as fat gain.

    via GIPHY
Broccoli is also an amazing vegetable when it comes to antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Plus, it is voluminous - so helps with fibers, and also packs some protein. Also, it is super filling, so is a great snack if you want to be full instantly while consuming very few calories.
    3. Sweet Potato Β© Pexels
Nutrition is one of the pre-requisites for muscle building, and quality carb sources are as important as protein sources for sustainable growth. Sweet potatoes are a great source of carbohydrates - be it using it as a pre-workout snack for a great lifting session, or having it as the part of a recovery meal.

    via GIPHY
Apart from being an amazing source of quality carbohydrates, sweet potato is also a great source of Potassium. Potassium protects lean muscle mass, and also lowers cardiovascular disease risk while helping with bone density and blood pressure.

Include these 3 vegetables in your diet while following quantified nutrition, and thank us later!

John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2Β is a vigilante action drama, along the lines of the 2018 film. If you have seen the trailer, you would have an idea that the actor has a triple role in the movie. We have a politician, a cop, a farmer leader, and a killer on the loose, and each one is played by John himself. While one is a father, two of them are sons who’ve different ideologies.Β
    Here’s the trailer:

Not that the trailer looked exciting, fans were expecting the movie to turn out to be an entertainer. However, now that the film's out, the common emotion on Twitter is that it has failed to impress the audience. People who got to catch a screening in the morning are bashing the movie. People found it absolutely trash and found the plot unbearable. One of the users also pointed out the dialogues were also cheesy. People also slammed Divya Khosla’s performance and didn’t find it up to the mark.Β

Talking about his character in the film, John had said, "I knew that I will be playing two characters, one that of the vigilante which is inspired by the first part of the film and second is of a police officer. They are twin brothers and I am also playing the father of these two youngsters when the story goes to a flashback."

He added, β€œInitially, I was not convinced with playing the father's character but eventually, I did. That character is set in a different time and era. Whereas the story of DSP Jay and Satya is set in the present time. Though this was not the first time I played a police officer, as you know I played a real-life iconic personality like late DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav in Batla House but playing DSP Jay was very different. He is a righteous yet fun guy who takes off his uniform in a face-off with a vigilante. It will be fun to watch characters for our audience.”

Watching their kids realise their dream is one of the most beautiful feelings for any parent in the world. Nothing beats the feeling than watching the years old dream become a reality after your years of hardships.
Every young cricketer, who wishes to become an international player, his biggest dream is to play Test cricket but only a select few of them get to live this dream.
    View this post on Instagram
On Thursday when India faced New Zealand in the opening TestΒ of the two-match home series against New Zealand, it was time for Shreyas IyerΒ to turn his dream into reality and he received his debut cap from batting legend Sunil Gavaskar. More than the Mumbai batter, it was his father Santosh Iyer who had carried this dream in his heart of one day watching his son don the Indian white jersey.
Iyer has been impressive for India in the last couple of years in white-ball cricket but he could never make it to the Test squad, mainly due to the intense competition for each and every spot in India’s red-ball team.
After the selectors decided to rest several first-choice players, it paved the way for the 26-year-old cricketer from Mumbai to earn his Test call and fulfill his father’s dream. Be it IPL or India’s limited-overs team, Iyer was doing well everywhere but his father was never satisfied and encouraged him to always strive to become a Test cricketer because according to him that was the β€œreal cricket”.

β€œTest cricket is the real cricket. I always wanted him to play Tests. Today, that dream will come true. My wife and I are absolutely delighted,” Santosh Iyer told told mid-dayΒ ahead of his son’s Test debut.
How badly he wanted to see his son don the Indian Test kit can be gauged from the fact that he kept the same DP on his WhatsApp profile for the last four years. This DP from 2017 features Iyer holding the trophy after India defeated Australia 2-1 in the home series.

Iyer had joined the team as Kohli’s injury replacement but didn’t get to play and had to wait four long years to get a place in the starting line-up.
β€œWe always wanted him to play Test cricket. I have been telling Shreyas to try for a Test spot. He always used to say that it will happen. So, that’s what has happened now. Honestly, we were not expecting it to happen against New Zealand. I will be on my toes, certainly. We expect him to perform well. It is a big opportunity since other stalwarts are not in the team,” said his father.

Despite it being his debut game, Iyer didn’t let it affect his game and finished the opening day’s play on 75 not out. His knock helped the hosts recover from a tricky position and pushed the team towards a respectable first innings total.
