Ask any batter what’s their definition of a dream debut and most would reply that they’ve always dreamed about raising their bat to the crowd after scoring a century on their debut.

A debut to remember for @ShreyasIyer15 as he brings up his maiden Test century

But it’s easier said than done and everybody knows that not many people get to realise this dream of theirs.

Hence, whenever a player manages to get to the three-figure mark on his debut, it’s a treat to watch and calls for a special celebration.

On the second day of the Kanpur Test, debutant Shreyas Iyer scripted history by becoming the 16th Indian batter to score a hundred on his Test debut.
The last Indian batter to start his Test career with a hundred was Prithvi Shaw, who achieved the milestone against the West Indies three years ago.

The middle-order batter from Mumbai finished the opening day’s play at 75 not out and breached the three-figure mark in the opening session and brought a huge smile on all our faces.
As soon as he completed his century, the fans and experts flooded the micro-blogging site with their congratulatory messages for the 26-year-old batter.

Former Indian legend VVS Laxman also lauded the youngster for handling the pressure with great maturity and scoring a century that could prove crucial in deciding the outcome of this match over the next few days.
“A magnificent innings under pressure from #ShreyasIyer . Showed great maturity, composure and class and becomes the 16th Indian to Score Century on Test Debut.  Well Played  @ShreyasIyer15. Many more to come!” Laxman tweeted.
A century on debut. First of many. Well played, Shreyas Iyer. #IndvNZ
    — Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) November 26, 2021Delighted for #ShreyasIyer. His talent was never in doubt since we first saw him at that 2014 U19 World Cup. This is proof now that he has the temperament to do it at this level. Keeps the game moving, isn't afraid to play the big shots. Good modern player.
    — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) November 26, 2021All of us to @ShreyasIyer15 right now:

    — Irfan Pathan (@IrfanPathan) November 26, 2021 However, it wasn’t exactly easy for Iyer to mark such a feat because when he walked in to bat, the hosts were in a spot of bother after losing their top three batters with only 103 runs on the board.
The Kiwis were on the ascendancy but the debutant batted with great composure and showed why everyone rates him so highly.
Since he was making his Test debut, everybody expected him to play second fiddle while batting alongside some of the senior players in the squad.
Will the debutant @ShreyasIyer15 get to the three-figure mark on Day 2 ?

However, wickets kept falling from one end and he found himself in a tricky situation in his very first innings. But instead of succumbing to the pressure, Iyer kept playing his natural game and managed to exceed all expectations by carrying the Indian innings on his shoulder.
Batting with great authority he scored 105 off 171 balls, hitting 13 fours and two sixes during his knock before getting out to Tim Southee in the opening session on the second morning.
A good day at the office for #TeamIndia

While some of the senior pros struggled against the quality of the Kiwis bowlers, Iyer’s masterful knock was like a breath of fresh air.
With this knock, Iyer has justified his selection and we hope that it’s just the beginning of an exciting Test career.

Apart from Ranveer, it also stars Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Jatin Sarna, Sahil Khattar, Jiiva, Dinker Sharma and Deepika Padukone.
The world cup triumph of 1983 was surely one of the biggest moments in Indian cricket history and viewers are sentimentally attached to the incident. Ranveer shared the 83 teaser on Instagram and wrote, “The greatest Story. The greatest Glory. 83 RELEASING IN CINEMAS ON 24TH DEC, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. In an earlier interview with Mumbai Mirror, Kabir Khan had shared about shooting at the Lord’s stadium and said, “We shot for five days at the Lord’s stadium in London, entering the members-only Long Room where no camera had ventured before, the dressing rooms and locker rooms, then, stepped out on the balcony where the World Cup was presented to Kapil sir. And guess what? They brought out the real World Cup for Ranveer too. Overwhelmed, he broke down when I shouted ‘Cut’.”

When Kabir Sahab (director Kabir Khan) had come to me and said that there will be a film on '83, I was like 'finally'. And when he was narrating it to me, I was like 'woooh'! It is not a story just about cricket but a human story."

There are more ways than one to start a family and not everyone goes the conventional way. Celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Sunny Leone have set an example by adopting a child and giving an unfortunate child a life they deserved. Now following the same path is another actress Swara Bhasker who shared that she is planning to have a child through adoption.

    © © Instagram
In an interview, the Nil Battey Sannata actress shared how she has always planned to become a mother and after seeing people who have adopted children, her decision got stronger. She did her research and decided to go the adoption way to start a family, on her own.

    © Instagram
She said, “I’ve always wanted a family and children. I realised adoption was a way to marry these things. Luckily in India, the state allows single women to adopt. I met many couples who have adopted children, met some children who were adopted and are now almost adults. I read up on the process experience.”

    © Instagram
She has already registered with Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) and is currently on the waiting list to be a parent which can go up to three years, she said. “I am now a prospective adoptive parent on CARA. I know the waiting period is long, often as long as three years, but I can’t wait to be a parent to a child through adoption,” she added.

    © Instagram
She also said that she told her parents about her wish to adopt a child and they gave her their blessings. The 33-year-old actress is setting an example for young women by demonstrating that they can have a family even without getting hitched. Plus, celebrities who have adopted make a strong statement about this noble deed by giving a child a home and a life they could not have otherwise.

We hope she gets to bring a child home soon and wish her all the best for embarking on a new journey as a mother.

The Day 1 of the first Test between India and New Zealand was full of action as players from both the teams tried to push each other on the backfoot but, in the end, it all ended fair and square.
There were plenty of positives for both sides. For India it was the batting of Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja, who all scored half-centuries while the Kiwis must be happy with the way their bowlers bowled, especially Kyle Jamieson who picked up three wickets.
    View this post on Instagram
But more than the players' performance, there were several other off-field moments that made the headlines and kept the social media buzzing throughout the day.
The highlight of the day was the picture of a local cricket fan who was spotted talking over the phone with his mouth full of ‘Gutka’. This visual provided the fans with the opportunity to make full use of their creativity and they came up with some rib-tickling memes.
Former India opener Wasim Jaffer, who is known for his wit and humour, also posted a hilarious meme, featuring the famous dialogue from the movie ‘Phir Hera Pheri’.

People of Kanpur had to wait over five years to see an international Test match at the venue because the last fixture was played between the same two oppositions back in 2016, which the hosts won by 197 runs.
Talking about the on-field action, carrying on his fine form Shreyas Iyer added his name in the elite list of players who have scored a century on their Test debut.

India didn’t have the greatest of starts on the second day as overnight batter Jadeja was cleaned up early by veteran New Zealand pacer Tim Southee but it didn’t disturb Iyer’s attention and eventually reached the three-figure mark. Before perishing for 105, Iyer’s knock ensured that India incah towards a strong finish in the first innings.

The internet has been abuzz with the news of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding and fans have been waiting for the official announcement from the two but they have chosen to be tight-lipped about their relationship. They will be tying the knot at Six Senses Fort Barwara, a resort in Sawai Madhopur, located just 30 minutes away from Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan.
    View this post on Instagram
The wedding is said to be a grand three-day affair from December 7 to 9 with a traditional Hindu and a catholic wedding lined up. In the Hindu tradition, a bride has to apply Mehendi as it’s a way of wishing her good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. As per reports, Sojat Mehendi (henna) from Pali district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan will be sent to bride Katrina for her special day. Famous Bollywood actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra have also opted for Sojat Mehendi in the past.
Sojat Mehendi originates from mehndi leaves grown in Sojat. It is fully naturally cultivated by rainwater for getting high lawsone content in mehndi leaves. According to the mehndi vendor of Sojat, the Mehendi preparation for Katrina's wedding will cost around Rs 50,000 to 1 lakh. To be honest, its cost is more than most of our monthly incomes.

The latest reports also state that they have opted for a 'no mobile phones' policy for all the guests who will be invited to their wedding in order to ensure safety and security. They also want to keep their wedding an intimate affair and would like to avoid any photo or video leaks. Reportedly, the guests will not be given permission to use their mobile phones after a certain area.
Celebs like Karan Johar, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur, Sidharth Malhotra, Rohit Shetty, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhanwan and Natasha Dalal, Ali Abbas Zafar, and many more will be a part of this grand wedding celebration.
For the unversed, Katrina and Vicky’s dating rumours began when during an award show, where the actor had confessed that he had a huge crush on Katrina. While both were on the stage to present an award, Vicky had asked her "Why don't you find a nice boy like Vicky Kaushal and get married to him?" He further raised eyebrows by asking her, "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?”

We are eagerly waiting for their wedding pictures. What about you? Let us know in the comments section below.
