Every month a smartphone is launched and we’re spoilt for choices. However, there are certain specific devices that launch across the world and we’re left yearning for them to launch here in India too.
One such device is the new OnePlus 9RT that launched at an event in China on the October 13. While speculations about this phone coming to India have been ongoing ever since, there’s no official news yet.
So, since this is one of the most awaited smartphones, we dug deep to bring to you the features that make it a perfect launch for India.
Here are some of the top reasons why we need it here!
1. New thermal tech makes it a ‘Gaming Beast’ If you’re a gamer and have multiple gaming applications on your phone, then this one is for you. OnePlus 9RT is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 888 and LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1, curated to maximize performance.
If you compare this device with a UFS 3.0 without turbo writing, the writing speed of UFS 3.1 is higher by up to 3 times. With 128GB ROM, the writing speed of UFS3.0 is about 221.77MB/S, and UFS 3.1 is around 678.84MB/S.
You’d think something with such high processing will heat up your phone? Nope!
Gizmochina.com
To ensure smooth and fast performance, the spatial cooling system of the OnePlus 9RT has been redesigned, adopting five-layer cooling materials for three-dimensional cooling. The VC cooling area has been increased by 59% compared to that of the OnePlus 9, and the cooling efficiency has increased by 20%, which is the best heat dissipation across OnePlus devices.
The device also comes with an industry-leading gaming eSports-ready triple Wi-Fi antenna system, which can switch between different scenarios intelligently, effectively reducing network latency, and greatly improving the overall gaming experience.
2. Excellent displayThe bigger the screen, the better the experience and that’s why we’re specifically rooting for this smartphone in India.
The OnePlus 9RT is equipped with an FHD+ display which is made from an E4 luminous material for clear viewing in the brightest of sunlight. A flat-display can also extend right to the edges which gives it a 92.42% ultra-high screen-to-body ratio to make work and gaming easy.

3. Kickass battery life! From 1% to 100 in 29 minutes! Yup, you heard us. The 4500 mAh large battery comes with REAL dual-cell simultaneous charging which means you can be on the go without worrying about the much dreaded low-battery sign.
65T allows for energy conversion of approximately 99%, which means higher and quicker charging and efficiency. This also allows you to charge your phone while you’re playing without making it too hot.
How cool is that?
4. Flagship level camera systemLast but not the least, the OnePlus 9RT is equipped with the best-in-class flagship main imaging sensor joint developed with SONY, making it more exclusive when it comes to high-end image sensors.
The Nightscape imaging makes it even better to take pictures and videos in low light. Thanks to the sensor-exclusive DOL-HDR algorithm, you no longer have to worry about shooting videos in unevenly lit environments.
Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
So, what do you think? Do you think we need this phone in India?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been trolled a lot of times for being an overprotective mother to her daughter Aaradhya. Every time Aishwarya is spotted with her daughter, you will see her holding her hands. People have slammed her for being a strict mother and not letting her daughter follow her own will. This time around, it is Aaradhya Bachchan who fell prey to these mean trolls.
View this post on Instagram
Aaradhya returned to Mumbai with parents Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after a birthday getaway to the Maldives. The kid got trolled for her walk at the airport. It was uncalled for and it’s unfortunate that trolls have stooped down to a level wherein people are trolling a 10-year-old kid.
Here’s the video:

People were so insensitive that they said that it’s Aishwarya who has probably taught her to walk like this. Some even went to say that they are confused if she has an issue with her leg or if she is walking ‘matak matak ke.’
Here are the reactions:

It’s bizarre how people are telling Aishwarya how she should take care of her own daughter. It's instances like these that make us feel trolling should stop for good.

In an earlier interview with Filmfare, Aishwarya was asked if she is a strict mother to Aaradhya. She said, “Years later you’ll hear from her about that. There’s no rule book that you walk around with. Knowingly or unknowingly you give to your child what you’ve imbibed and what you’ve been inculcated with. That’s what goes on from generation to generation. If it means guiding her to the best of my ability, I do. If it involves giving her a direction, I will most definitely give that. I’ve received it so I will give that to her.”

Aishwarya tied the knot with Abhishek back in April 2007. The duo got hitched in a private wedding ceremony that took place at the Juhu residence of Amitabh Bachchan. The couple welcomed their baby daughter Aaradhya in November 2011.

Arranged marriages come with its own perks and perils. While it’s exciting and involves less family drama (free of all that abba nahi manenge), there are certain inhibitions and hesitation that take time. Since you’ve only known your partner for a few months, things can get awkward especially on the wedding night.
© Rajshri Productions
Do you talk about it or just go for it? How do you know what your partner wants and likes in bed? And, basically how do you break the ice on the wedding night when you’ve only spoken a few times before getting hitched? All these questions haunt your mind but a smart lad said it out loud on social media and also asked for advice from desis who’ve had an arranged marriage.
© Yash Raj Films
A Reddit user posted, “People whose marriage was arranged, what was it like the night after the wedding?. He further wrote, asking for advice, “How does one prepare oneself for the arranged marriage if one hasn't got to meet his or her partner a lot of times before wedding? and it should be even more awkward when you're a virgin without any sexual experience.”
“Is it normal to talk to your partner regarding *** before wedding?” I know most will be tired in their first night after all the photoshoots and traveling and nothing happens much... But what actually happens and who breaks the ice?” he added.
© Netflix
Desis who have had similar experience with their partner shared stories and advice on how to go about it and what to expect. Here are some of the most wonderful and insightful first-hand experiences from the thread.
1. Maybe, Talk First?
It is totally fine to speak all sort of stuff before wedding, *** is integral part of life, u both have to be open to understand each other and what they want, there is no ice breaker or who breaks the ice, just speak to them casually, they will open up. and take your time, dont expect *** the same night.
2. *** Can Wait
Don't even think about it on your first night. There's a lifetime ahead.
© SLB Films
4. Make Her Comfortable
Everything falls into place naturally assuming you take care of the fact that the bride is a human being. *** on the first night should not be a priority. Realise she has left her home and family for you. Give her the appropriate respect...Ps. As for breaking the ice, its probably better for the guy to do so. Share a glass of water? Help her remove all those pin and clips from her hair. Little things go a long way.
2. Protection & Foreplay Are Must
The wife is under pressure. This makes it harder for her to get lubricated. It will make things painful for her. And that's not all, it will make things super painful for you too. So if you've got to get it on, make sure you have the right setting, sweet talk and have enough foreplay. Then when she's comfortable move to next level.
© Rajshri Productions
5. It’s Not Like It’s Shown In The Movie
Like some others have said, it doesn’t go in properly the first time and wish I knew about that, I had a bit of bleeding (on sheets of one of the Taj Hotels, I’m still so embarrassed thinking about it and wished we had placed some sheets of our own).
Hope these accounts and advice helped the newly wed couple!

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions recently announced Mr & Mrs Mahi, a cricket-themed film featuring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. Directed by Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl fame Sharan Sharma, the movie marks Rajkummar & Janhvi's second collaboration onscreen after the horror-comedy Roohi which was released earlier this year. The film's announcement has left fans of both the actors excited. However, did you know that Kartik Aaryan was the first choice for the project?
Yes, you read that right! Reportedly, Kartik was supposed to star opposite Janhvi in Mr & Mrs Mahi but he lost out on the project after the whole Dostana 2 fiasco. Speaking about the same, a source told TOI, "After his exit from 'Dostana 2', the collateral damage was Kartik going out from 'Mr & Mrs Mahi' too". However, the Luka Chupi actor and the makers are yet to react on the same.
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/hindi/bollywood/news/scoop-kartik-aaryan-lost-mr-mrs-mahi-opposite-janhvi-kapoor-collateral-damage-of-dostana-2-exclusive/articleshow/87871632.cms
For the unversed, a few months back, Kartik and Karan Johar had a fallout leading to his exit from Dostana 2 co-starring Janhvi and newcomer Laksh Lalwani. At that time, there was a buzz that the actor got replaced from the much-awaited sequel due to his unprofessionalism and creative differences. Later, it was reported that Johar personally requested Akshay Kumar to join the second installment of Dostana. However, the official announcement is still awaited.
Recently, at a promotional event, Kartik finally shared his views about the criticism and negativity that he faced after his exit from Dostana 2. He said that the negative reports affected his family and he had to explain the whole scenario to his mother.
On the career front, Kartik's latest release Dhamaka is currently streaming on Netflix and the actor is getting a positive response for his performance. Also, he has wrapped up shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kiara Advani and Freddy co-starring Alaya F. He is currently busy with Rohit Dhawan's Shehzada opposite Kriti Sanon and also has Hansal Mehta's Captain India in his kitty.

Kangana Ranaut, who recently received the Padma Shri award, is controversy's favourite child who often makes headlines for her strong statements. Recently, she talked about India's freedom and her comments have not gone well with anyone. Talking about the country's independence, she said that India achieved true freedom in 2014 and what we got back in 1947 was just a "bheekh". Since then, she is being criticised by politicians, celebrities, freedom fighters, and citizens of the country.
The name of Shaktimaan fame Mukesh Khanna has now been added to the list as he recently expressed his views on the "bheekh" remark and blasted the Queen actress on social media. Taking to Instagram, Khanna posted a picture of Kangana along with a long message slamming her for the controversial comment.
In the long note, he wrote, "Sharing a lengthy note on Kangana Ranaut's photo on his Instagram account, Mukesh wrote in Hindi, "Many people have been asking me time and again why you have not commented on the derogatory remark made on India’s independence of the country? So let me tell you. I have given. But maybe it’s not read. childish. It was ridiculous. Chaploosi se prerit tha (It was flattering)”.
The actor added, "Was it a sign of ignorance or a side effect of the Padma Award? I don’t know. But everyone knows this and also believes that our country became independent on August 15, 1947. Even trying to address it differently would be nothing short of foolishness".
In the end, he asked her to "stop making such controversial statement" and said that it was the fear of Subhas Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj, the rebellion of his own soldiers, and the sacrifice of revolutionaries that created the fear of running away in the mind of Britishers.

While the Tanu Weds Manu star is yet to react to Khanna's statement, do tell us your views in the comment section.
Recently, in a viral video, Lilabai Chitale, India's 91-year-old freedom fighter, slammed Kangana for her comment and urged PM Narendra Modi to take action against her. She said that the actress' remark is very disrespectful and painful.
For the unversed, at the age of 12, Chitale was arrested during the freedom struggle. Even her parents and brother had been in jail at that time.
Kangana is known for expressing her opinions boldly and strongly, however, it seems, she went too far this time by degrading India's struggle for independence. Citizens are still angry with her and this will not end anytime soon.
On the career front, Kangana was last seen in Thalaivi, based on the life of late actress-politician J Jayalalithaa. She has wrapped up the shooting for Dhaakad and is currently busy with Tejas. Her production venture Tiku Weds Sheru, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in lead roles, went on floors recently.

With only a couple of days left in the start of the first Test, the Indian cricket team suffered a major blow when opener KL Rahul was ruled out of the entire Test series against New Zealand due to a thigh injury.
Having performed outstandingly well in India's last Test series in England, the Karnataka batter regained the opening slot in the Test side and was supposed to open the innings in the upcoming series as well. But his injury has given the team management a last-minute headache and forced them to devise new strategies and come up with a new game plan.
NEWS - Suryakumar Yadav replaces KL Rahul in India's Test squad.
KL Rahul has sustained a muscle strain on his left thigh and has been ruled out of the upcoming 2-match Paytm Test series against New Zealand.
More details here -https://t.co/ChXVhBSb6H #INDvNZ @Paytm pic.twitter.com/uZp21Ybajx
— BCCI (@BCCI) November 23, 2021
Acting on their foot, the BCCI has named Suryakumar Yadav in the Test squad as Rahul’s replacement but most people thought that he would only warm the bench and carry the drinks. But if the reports are to be believed he is the front-runner to earn his Test debut ahead of Shreyas Iyer, who was part of the original squad.

“Team India batsman Mr. KL Rahul has sustained a muscle strain on his left thigh and has been ruled out of the upcoming 2-match Paytm Test series against New Zealand,” the BCCI said in its press release.
“He will now undergo rehabilitation at NCA in preparation for the series against South Africa scheduled next month. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Mr. Suryakumar Yadav as KL Rahul’s replacement,” it added.
View this post on Instagram
Before KL Rahul’s injury, most fans and experts were confident that Shreyas Iyer would be earning his Test cap but a report published in the Indian Express has suggested that old prediction has gone for a toss with Suryakumar’s arrival in the squad. His inclusion has changed the scenario and now it’s his Mumbai teammate Iyer who could be left on the bench for the series opener in Kanpur.
The report claimed that despite being a last-minute injury replacement, Suryakumar came into the nets ahead of Iyer and his batting session was way longer than Iyer which suggests that the Rahul Dravid-led team management is inclined towards handing him the chance to wear Indian whites.
© Reuters
“[Suryakumar] Yadav batted deep into the evening, suggesting that he, who was not in the original squad, has a heads-up over Iyer, who was in the original squad for the series. Then again, net sessions are not definitive indicators of a playing eleven,” read the report published in The Indian Express.
If it indeed is true then it raises some serious questions about the team's game plan. First and foremost, how could a player, who came in as an injury replacement at the 11th hour, earn a place in the starting XI ahead of an original member of the squad.
© Twitter/BCCI
How would Iyer feel after discovering that the team management decided to ignore him and preferred to hand Test debut to someone like Suryakumar?
Both Suryakumar and Iyer are the middle-order batters and if the former was better than the latter why was he not picked in the initial squad?
Even the fans were not happy with the call and lashed out at the team management for ignoring the initially-drafted player and going with a last-minute injury replacement.
Unfair on iyer.
This time i will agree.
— Kavyansh (@KohliisGoat) November 24, 2021Are yaar, ye har bar Shreyash Iyer ke sath hi unfair kyu hota he
— Himanshu Uike (@HimanshuUike) November 24, 2021If this is true then its a wrong decision
— Saffron Careers (@saffroncareers) November 24, 2021No need.. shreyas is way better than him in Longer formats.. Only in T20 we can say sky is better but not in longer formats man
— Hitmanism (Stay Safe) (@gowthammgm555) November 24, 2021Then why did u select iyer ahead of sky in squad ? How could a replacement finds a place over previously selected iyer for the No 4 spot ... logicless
— Raju (@raju_ch_) November 24, 2021 When Rahul Dravid became the head coach, everyone expected him to bring more transparency into decision-making and establish clear communication with the players. If indeed this news is true and Suryakumar makes his Test debut then, it would be a grave injustice to a youngster like Shreyas Iyer and jolt his confidence greatly.
We just hope Dravid has a solid reason for making such a contentious call, otherwise there would be no difference between him and other coaches.
