Kartik Aaryan was just an ordinary person looking for his place in the industry and like any other outsider, he followed the conventional path and moved to Mumbai to pursue his dreams of acting. He hasn’t been an overnight success and it’s been a roller-coaster ride as he has had to face rejection, stay in rented accommodations with other flatmates, and the likes during his days of struggle.

Kartik marked his debut with Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama and he was stereotyped as a guy who can deliver monologues and do movies like the Punchnama series. He was even targeted for the misogynistic approach of the franchise. But, he also proved he can play a character with an emotional arch in movies like Love Aaj Kal, Silvat, and Akaash Vani.
He is now a big name in the industry and his popularity has increased manifold. On 22nd November, he celebrated his birthday and one of the fans went the extra mile to give a surprise to her favourite actor. She got Kartik's name inked on herself.

When Kartik was celebrating his birthday with the media at the airport, the female fan surprised him with a permanent tattoo of his. The actor was taken by surprise when he saw his name and date of birth inked over a female fan's chest.

We don't know what else to call this but real ‘deewangi’. After the post started to go viral, people started to bash her and went on to say that is nothing but cheap publicity. One of the Instagram users said that she would regret it later on.

Reportedly, upon seeing the tattoo, Kartik asked the fan, "Ye tattoo hai aapka (This is your tattoo?) Is it permanent?" The fan told the paparazzi, "I am a very big fan of him and I love him. It's just like a dream come true for me.”

Wishing Rana on the special occasion, Miheeka posted a picture and thanked the actor for being the most wonderful human being. She wrote, "Happy anniversary my love! It’s been the most blissful year! Don’t let your skin pay the price of a good workout. What most men don’t realise is that the sudden breakouts, skin infections, redness and irritation is actually the result of negligence towards skincare while you sweat it out in the gym. However, keeping a few little things in mind can help.
© iStock
Whether you sweat too much while exercising or not as much, or you have a light workout or a hardcore one, you need to take proper care of your skin because it can face serious damage. Being reckless with skincare can make it worse.
© iStock
Here are some common skincare mistakes gym-goers make that ruin their skin. Make sure you avoid them so you don’t end up with skin woes.
1. Not Washing Up Properly © iStock
You sweat excessively during workout and your skin accumulates dirt, impurities and sebum along with the sweat which invites acne. Wash your face with a cleanser and exfoliate once a week to get deep settled dirt and grime off. Make sure your skin is squeaky clean before and after you hit the gym.
2. Touching Your Face Too Often © iStock
Fiddling with your face with dirty hands is where the problem lies. Gym equipment is covered with germs and bacteria which you bring in contact with your face when you touch it to probably wipe sweat off your face or because of habit. Steer clear of touching your face with sweaty and dirty hands and spray a disinfectant on equipment, if possible.
3. Not Moisturising & Hydrating © iStock
Your skin and body both need extra hydration post a vigorous gym session. You might have noticed that your skin feels stretchy and dry after a workout. While you make sure to drink plenty of water, don’t forget your skin. Moisturise well to make up for the hydration lost. Invest in a cooling moisturiser or gel to cool down your skin post workout.
4. Not Dealing With The Sweat © iStock
Waiting till you reach home to get rid of sweaty clothes is okay but you need to clean sweat off your skin while you work out too, since it can breed bacteria. Carry a soft towel or face tissues to your gym and keep it handy so that the sweat doesn’t stay on your skin for too long. Also, rather than wiping rigorously, be gentle since it can cause skin irritation and rash.

See, I get it. Movies are a form of entertainment and often an exaggeration of real life. Which is why when an action movie shows us Salman Khan descending from a plane in a car with parachutes, we don’t question, we just stuff our mouth with enough popcorn and enjoy.
via GIPHY
But at the same time when Bollywood movies take that concept of exaggeration a little too far and give us problematic characters that the audience might just take seriously, we do have a beef with them.
Like we did when Bollywood gave us a few absolutely toxic moms that set terrible parenting examples for everyone. Here are some of them that failed at parenting big time.
1) Neelam Mehra From Dil Dhadakne Do © Excel Entertainment
Played by Shefali Shah in the hit film Dil Dhadakne Do, her character Neelam Mehra, was infuriating for most part of the film, simply because she was so blind to the trials and tribulations of her own children. From forcing her daughter to marry into a family that belittled her to asking her to make peace with an emotionally unavailable and abusive husband, to feeding into gender disparity between her own two children, she was the kind of mother we wish upon no one.
2) Susheela From Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon © Dharma Productions
The character that got meme-i-fied for asking ‘toh phir problem kya hai’, was the actual problem in the film, apart from the obvious OTT acting from Hrithik and Kareena. Susheela’s character was that of a stereotypical parent that we are so desperately trying to change. From pushing her daughter to marry for money and setting her up as bait, she made us cringe more than the VFX dog in the film.
3) Rani From Dostana © Dharma Productions
A role that was played by Kirron Kher, no matter how well played, was problematic to its very core. While the entire movie was an insensitive portrayal of the LGBTQ+ community, her role was particularly irksome since, in the movie, she is shown as someone who thought there was something terribly wrong with her son after she found out his sexual orientation. She would rather try black magic on him or blame others for influencing him into homosexuality, than accept his son to be gay.
4) Kavita Malhotra From 2 States © Dharma Productions
A lot of people called Amrita Singh’s role in 2 States as Krish’s mom a near perfect portrayal of a Punjabi mom. However, if it was close to anything, it was toxic. Her character didn’t just lunge at money but also emotionally manipulated her son into accepting societal stereotypes. Especially the part where she tried to convince her son that he was being ‘entrapped’ by his Tamil girlfriend, making it all the more worse.
5) Sarita Mehta From Wake Up Sid © Dharma Productions
Not a lot of people might agree with this name in the list, but just hear me out. While her character captured the essence of a loving and doting mother vying for her son’s time, perfectly, what it missed out on was to school him when needed. As a mother, a woman should hold her child more accountable to his mistakes, whereas Sarita in Wake In Sid continued to turn a blind eye to his careless attitude towards life, and kept showering him with love and adoration.

There is a reason why the saying 'friends don't let friends skip leg days' exists. If you actually care about your friend, you'd make sure they do everything that's conducive to their growth, and when it comes to fitness, 'leg day' perhaps is the best example.
via GIPHY
However, leg days also somehow have this bad rep of being the most hated day in the gym. While the difficulty level is somewhat responsible, there are other excuses that lead most Indian men to skip this super important day at the gym. Here are 5 silly reasons why most Indian men still don't take their leg days seriously, or worse, skip them altogether.
via GIPHY
1. Focus only on big biceps and chest
via GIPHY
Mostbeginners only focus on their upper body with the sole goal of having huge biceps and a big chest. To them, as long as shirts and T-shirts 'fit' and stretch, it's been a successful project.
2. Straight up ignoring aesthetic proportions
via GIPHY
We all know this guy, don't we? Huge chest, arms and shoulders, but chicken legs. However, he is blissfully unaware of the same. He sometimes even works out in jeans, with a belt on.
3. No attention on legs as they are rarely visible in public
via GIPHY
Most Indian men are socially conditioned to cover their legs in public - either with full length pants/trousers/jeans, or at least baggy 3/4ths or 'bermuda' shorts. While roaming around shirtless is not that big of an issue, one will rarely see men in India roam around in tight shorts or 'shorty shorts'. The result? No attention on leg musculature. Since most gym goers are vanity oriented and not fitness oriented, the mindset goes like: why work on something I can't show off?
4. Working on glutes perceived as 'feminine'
via GIPHY
As ridiculous as it sounds, men do face this at certain places because of our super problematic, toxic, gendered take on even the most neutral topics. While anyone sensible would actually want to have fuller, stronger, muscular glutes, insecure gym bros look down upon anyone specifically training their glutes as it apparently only 'suits women'. Glute training is an intrinsic part of leg day, and such messed up notions are only preventing certain individuals from realizing their true potential when it comes to being fit.
5. Lack of full-sized mirrors in households
via GIPHY
This may sound like a super trivial non-issue, but because of the vanity oriented, superficial approach to gym in most cases, this also ends up being a contributing factor. Most middle-class Indian households have small mirrors that only let one see till their waist at most. Since men can't really see how disproportionate their physique looks with a buffed up upper body and skinny lower body, they don't get the urge to work on that, as opposed to arms and chest that they can see every single day, without clothes.
via GIPHY
Please don't skip leg days, as legs form the foundation of your physique. Not skipping leg day will let you pack more muscle easily, and will also make you fitter and stronger - allowing you to secrete more Testosterone and HGH, and thereby aiding more fat loss. You're welcome.

After enjoying his short break away from cricket, Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has resumed his training in Mumbai. Kohli has been rested for the opening Test against New Zealand but he will be back on the field in the second Test match which will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The Indian skipper is originally from Delhi but shifted his base to Mumbai a couple of years back where he lives with his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma and their daughter Vamika.
View this post on Instagram
He might have started living in India’s financial capital but in his mind he is still a ‘Delhi ka launda’ and never misses any opportunity to express it on public platforms. During a recent interaction with his wife Anushka on Instagram, Kohli expressed his love for his native place and proved how proud he is to be a Delhiite.
During his training, Kohli came across an adorable cat and couldn’t resist the temptation of sharing the pictures with his social media followers. In the pictures, Kohli has a huge smile on his face and can be seen playing with the “cool cat.”

“A quick hello from a cool cat at practice,” Kohli captioned the pics on Instagram.
The pictures became a huge hit among his social media followers and the post garnered over three million likes in just over three hours. Such was the charm of the cat that even Anushka couldn’t stop herself from greeting the cat and dropped a comment which read: “Hello billi”.

Responding to Anushka’s post, Kohli wrote: “Launda from dilli and mumbai ki billi”, which received over 50,000 likes within no time.
While fans loved the pictures of Kohli’s cute little furry friend, it was his reply to the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress that stole the show. Fans loved the way he described himself as a ‘dilli ka launda’ with utmost pride.

Kohli had already announced that he would step down from the T20 captaincy after the T20 World Cup, irrespective of the result. As expected, he was replaced by Rohit Sharma who started his full-time captaincy tenure on a high, completing a 3-0 clean sweep over New Zealand in the just-concluded series.
After sitting out of the Test series opener, Kohli will return to the field once again on December 3 and take over the charge from stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane for the second Test.

Over the years, OTT platforms have given us a parallel star system which is completely different from Bollywood’s conventional idea of stardom. The rise of actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Shefali Shah, Manoj Bajpayee, Pratik Gandhi, and Jaideep Ahlawat among others have changed the perception of how audiences used to consume content. The trend of OTT taking over Bollywood stardom has become one of the hottest debates of this era.
However, Salman Khan who’s probably one of the biggest stars of Bollywood doesn’t agree with it and feels that the concept of stardom will never die.
View this post on Instagram
During a recent media interaction, Salman Khan was asked if the era of stardom will come to an end, in wake of the new debate over the emergence of OTT. As per a report in Pinkvilla, Salman was quoted saying, “We will go, somebody else will come up. I don't think that era of stars will go. It will never go. It will always be there. It now depends on a lot of things, selection of movies, what you are in real life, and more. It's a whole package of things. This younger generation will have their superstardom.”
View this post on Instagram
Salman went on to add, “I have been hearing this for the last four generations, 'ki yeh last generation hain (this is the last generation of stars).' We will not leave it for the younger generation to take it easy. We will not hand it over to them. 'Mehnat karo bhai, pachas plus me mehnat kar hi rahe hain, toh aap bhi mehnat karo (work hard, we are working hard at the age of 50, you should also work hard).”
Now, these strong statements by Salman Khan are also his way of giving advice to the youngsters who are struggling to conquer the world of Bollywood.

On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Antim The Final Truth. Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, the film marks Salman’s first onscreen collaboration with brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. Set for a theatrical release on November 26, Antim is an adaptation of the Marathi hit Mulshi Pattern (2018).
