Salman Khan’s Strong Comments On Not Giving Up Stardom Are Why We Say ‘Bhai Se No Panga’

Over the years, OTT platforms have given us a parallel star system which is completely different from Bollywood’s conventional idea of stardom. The rise of actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Shefali Shah, Manoj Bajpayee, Pratik Gandhi, and Jaideep Ahlawat among others have changed the perception of how audiences used to consume content. The trend of OTT taking over Bollywood stardom has become one of the hottest debates of this era.

However, Salman Khan who’s probably one of the biggest stars of Bollywood doesn’t agree with it and feels that the concept of stardom will never die.

During a recent media interaction, Salman Khan was asked if the era of stardom will come to an end, in wake of the new debate over the emergence of OTT. As per a report in Pinkvilla, Salman was quoted saying, “We will go, somebody else will come up. I don't think that era of stars will go. It will never go. It will always be there. It now depends on a lot of things, selection of movies, what you are in real life, and more. It's a whole package of things. This younger generation will have their superstardom.”

Salman went on to add, “I have been hearing this for the last four generations, 'ki yeh last generation hain (this is the last generation of stars).' We will not leave it for the younger generation to take it easy. We will not hand it over to them. 'Mehnat karo bhai, pachas plus me mehnat kar hi rahe hain, toh aap bhi mehnat karo (work hard, we are working hard at the age of 50, you should also work hard).”

Now, these strong statements by Salman Khan are also his way of giving advice to the youngsters who are struggling to conquer the world of Bollywood.
