    The Indian cricket team have seemingly gotten over their disappointing early exit from the T20 World Cup 2021 based on the way they have been playing against New Zealand in the three-match bilateral series in the shortest format of the game.
    View this post on InstagramBeing led by Rohit Sharma, the newly appointed captain of the Men in Blue in this format, Team India have dominated the Black Caps in the first two matches and have therefore already won the series. 
    However, during the first half of the match at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Sharma was caught by surprise when one of the members of the audience managed to evade the security beyond the borders, jumped over the fences and rushed towards him in ecstasy.

Although this behaviour is extremely unacceptable and can even endanger the cricketer, even more so during the COVID-19, the rest of the ‘Hitman’ fans ended up thanking the pitch invader for showing his sensibility after rushing into the ground. 
    Realising the kind of complications Rohit Sharma could get into if the two had made contact, the fan lay on the ground far apart from the skipper. Sharma asked the fan to get up, shared a small and healthy chat before sending him away.
    People who watched the whole episode take place on their televisions quickly hopped on Twitter to thank the “sensible” fan for thinking on his feet, getting his two minutes of fame and ensuring that Sharma’s health would remain intact.

After dismissing the entire roster for just 153 runs in the first half of the match, the opening duo of Sharma and KL Rahul amassed 117 runs for the first wicket and both the cricketers managed to surpass the 50-run mark before giving up their wicket.
    Now that India’s won the first two matches, they will be playing the third and final match of the series at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on November 21st with the hopes of getting a whitewash against the Kiwis.

    It has been a couple of weeks since the Indian cricket team lost to New Zealand in their second match of the T20 World Cup and Virat Kohli had refused to make an appearance in front of the media following the defeat.
    Instead, the former Indian skipper in the T20I format had sent his key bowler Jasprit Bumrah to face the heat and was heavily criticised for not being present at the venue to answer the burning questions.

    A lot has happened since then. Kohli has resigned from his captaincy and has been rested by the selectors. Rohit Sharma has taken over as the new full-time skipper, and the Men in Blue have gained an unassailable 2-0 lead against the Black Caps in the ongoing T20I bilateral series in India.
    However, it remains a fact that Kohli has managed to garner some extreme haters during his time at the top and they seem to keep coming back with more criticism and taunts for the batter, even when he is out of action and trying to manage his workload.

    In one such incident lately, Kohli’s absence from the press conference was compared to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address to the country in which he withdrew the three farm laws and asked the protesting farmers to go home.
    PM Modi’s video was considered to be brave and courageous while depicting a strong sense of character on his part as opposed to Kohli, who was criticised for making someone else fall on the sword for his mistakes after the T20 World Cup upset. The only problem was that the Author and Speaker, Shefali Vaidya, who called out Kohli for his lack of courage, had no idea about which conference he had attended and which he did not.
    What strength of character must it take to say this? He could have chosen to issue a press release. He could have chosen to let the agriculture minister announce this, like @imVkohli sent Bumrah to face the press after the Pak debacle. But he did NOT! pic.twitter.com/1IttCnZpWF

    It didn’t take long for Kohli’s supporters to assemble and call “BS” on the comparison. They also made the world realise that the cricketer was present there for the Press Conference after losing to Pakistan, which had a lot more gravitas to it as compared to the loss to New Zealand.
    A. Virat Kohli himself attended the PC after Pakistan game.
    B. Had he not attended it also, it wouldn't had mean that he sent someone else to throw them under the bus and avoid criticism. He's pretty much a player's captain.

    The difference between Tinder and Indian matchmaking websites, apart from one platform being honest and the other just shallow, is that on Tinder, people still make room for coming across someone who might or might not be the kind of a person they’d be willing to date. Whereas on matrimonial websites, you HAVE to qualify some bizarre requirements that go up from wanting you to be ‘fair’ to ‘earning less’ than the man.

    And while height, weight, complexion were still requirements we’d heard of, the newest requirement that has been grabbing eyeballs is that of a man looking for a bride who falls into a particular bra size, waist size, and even a designated feet size. 

    No, we are not making this up. Pun intended.

    A screenshot shared by a Reddit user shows a man who has written up the requirements for a prospective partner that wants her attire to be “80% casual and 20% formal”, but with the exception of being willing to wear ‘costumes in bed’.

    And since the ad also specifies the bra size and other measurements of the woman, we wonder if he was putting out an ad for a partner or an actress for a role to play in his home movies. Not just this, the man went on and on describing his ‘dream woman’ and even the kind of ‘pro-life and liberal’ views she is supposed to have, along with no kids. 
    Clearly for the guy, finding a life partner was just like placing an order at a restaurant that would custom-make his future wife for him and internet users were dying to break it to the guy, with some hilarious comments to the screenshot.

    One user wrote, “This guy wants character customization, not a partner. Good god,” while another one compared his ad to, “This is like ordering a perfectly cooked steak.” Another user highlighted the plight of men as he pointed out the sentiment that many men feel when women ask for 6 ft tall guys.

    However, there were also a few Reddit users who believed it to be no more than a prank or a sarcastic dig at matrimonial ads, keeping in mind just how unbelievable and bizarre it was in the first place.

    Tim Paine has become one of the many Australian cricketers in the last half a decade to hold a press conference, apologise for his actions that have “brought shame to Cricket Australia and the game itself” before announcing his resignation from the role he was entrusted with.
    In Paine’s case, it was the issue of “sexting” or sharing sexual messages with one of his coworkers that got leaked on the internet, causing a huge backlash for the cricketer who has since stepped down from his role as the captain of the Australian Test cricket team.

    "As a background on my decision, nearly four years ago, I was involved in a text exchange with a then-colleague. At the time, the exchange was the subject of a thorough CA Integrity Unit investigation, throughout which I fully participated in and openly participated in. That investigation and a Cricket Tasmania HR investigation at the same time found that there had been no breach of the Cricket Australia Code of Conduct,” said Paine.
    And even though CA defined the whole issue as a "sexting incident involving a former Cricket Tasmania employee in 2017", Paine did not refuse to reveal the nature of these messages. However, it wasn’t long after Paine’s admission of guilt and resignation from his role that the messages somehow managed to make it online.

    In yet another thread of messages, Paine shares an indecent picture of his with the coworker while telling them that he would get in trouble if that picture leaked and their coworker agreed.
    Paine was made in-charge of the Australian Test team in 2018 when his teammate Steve Smith was banned for a year for the infamous Sandpapergate, in which the trio of Smith, David Warner and Camaroon Bancroft were found guilty of ball tampering against South Africa.

    After becoming the captain of the squad, Paine had assured the people of Australia and the fans of international cricket that they would see a “new culture” within the team and that there was a need for them to improve their “behaviour”.
    "I spoke to my wife and family at the time and am enormously grateful for their forgiveness and support. On reflection, my actions in 2017 do not meet the standard of an Australian cricket captain, or the wider community," he said in the press conference before handing over his duties and walking out of the conference with tears in his eyes.

    Just like a common man we are used to passing by on the metro station, in a grocery store or even nodding indifferently at in a lift, Bob Biswas looked like the everyday guy going from his home to office, office to home and somehow managing to get dissolved in the background.
    And perhaps that is what made his character as an insurance agent-cum-contract-killer unique, and one that fans couldn’t get enough of in Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani. The 2012 film that starred Vidya Balan and served fans with a suspense that kept them at the edge of their seats, also had them rooting for the character of Bob Biswas, which Diya Annapurna Ghosh is all set to make us meet in a spin-off.

    Played by Abhishek Bachchan who has truly nailed the look of a common man, the trailer of the film takes us through the life events of Bob Biswas, after he claims to have lost all memory of who he was and what he was known for. 

    As Bob follows the trail to his recovery in this two and a half minute trailer, he is forced back on the road to his criminal past and that gives fans the window to speculate whether he is really struggling with his memory or all of this is just a ploy to fool everyone around. Yet again.
    Actress Chitrangda Singh plays the role of Bob Biswas’s wife and doesn’t seem to suspect him of his alternate identity or any foul play. But can we really blame her, when all of us were fooled by the original character played by Saswata Chatterjee in Kahaani.
    Meanwhile, the internet is already breaking with speculation, anticipation and unanimous praise for Junior Bachchan who has essayed the role with perfection, at least by the looks of the trailer.
