It’s been over a month since Telugu star Naga Chaitanya and actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their separation to the media, coming to all of us as a shock, considering the two were hailed as a power couple in the south film industry.
The Family Man 2 actress Samantha broke the silence around the matter as she shared, “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thank you for your support."

And since then, while the two have been active on their own social media accounts about their professional lives and upcoming projects, hardly anything was said about their personal stance on the matter.
After a month, Naga Chaitanya shared something on his social media that made fans wonder if it has a connection to his recent divorce with actress Samantha Akkineni. It was his first post after his split with former wife.

Sharing a picture of the cover of Matthew McConaughey’s memoir, Greenlights, he captioned it saying, “A love letter to life… thank you Matthew McConaughey for sharing your journey... this read is a green light for me… respect sir!”
As fans speculated whether the choice of his book and caption hinted at his mental space after his split up, they dropped comments like, “More strength and more happiness,” while another one added: “We love you so much.”
The rumors of the divorce emerged soon after actress Samantha removed ‘Akkineni’ from her name on her social media accounts. Samantha also deleted her photos with Chaitanya from her Instagram just a few days prior to their fourth wedding anniversary.

The former Australian Test cricket captain Tim Paine’s wife Bonnie Paine has broken her silence on the ongoing ‘sexting scandal’ which took place in 2017 but has come into the public eye five years later and has also led to the resignation of her husband’s role as the leader of Australia's red-ball squad.
Bonnie, who married Tim in 2016 (one year before the scandal), says that she has forgiven him for the lewd messages that he had shared with a coworker about half a decade ago. However, she has also expressed her frustration with the fact that the whole incident has gone public out of nowhere to disrupt their lives.

“I have had my time of getting angry, and venting, and to get upset, and we fought and we talked, and then we both decided to move on with life, and do it together,” she said, speaking to News Corp with Tim by her side.
“I feel a bit frustrated that it’s all been brought up and aired in the public when we’d put it to bed years ago. I have moved forward since then. I feel like there is a lot of injustice for it being dragged out again.”

The 36-year old said that she felt as if the incident turned out to be rather helpful for their marriage and was happy with the way Tim handled the whole situation with honesty and complete transparency.
“You telling me was a huge progression for us. You kept everything so secretive prior to that,” she told her husband during the interview. “Weirdly, this mess has actually helped our relationship.”

While Paine’s personal life seemed to have recovered from the scandal, his professional life is nowhere close to the same. After resigning as the captain of the Test squad ahead of a big Ashes coming up at home, the cricketer has expressed his desire to continue to play for the team and retire only after winning the iconic series.
However, Australian legend Shane Warne feels that Paine’s chances of making it into the red-ball team look bleak as he was “on shaky ground” even before the scandal had gotten public attention.

“He had his moments during recent series — especially last summer against India — which left us all questioning his tactical nous and his actual playing role... It seemed that maybe his time was up,” Warne said.
“His own performances with the gloves and bat weren’t great, we have Matthew Wade, Alex Carey and Josh Inglis as more aggressive and better batting options at number seven. Plus the team wasn’t winning,” he added.

At the moment, when it comes to an elite-level captain in the world of international cricket, only a few names have the honour of being compared to New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson. He has time and again proven to lead a surprisingly short-handed team to glorious moments and has even stepped up to the occasion as a batter whenever required.
Reaching the 2019 World Cup final and losing to England on a crappy ICC rule, and falling short of just a few runs in their attempt to win the T20 World Cup in 2021, Williamson’s greatest achievement as a team captain so far has been winning the World Test Championship after two years of battling some of the finest cricketing squads in the world.

His ability to not let the pressure of leading a team negatively influence his batting abilities has also brought him a lot of recognition in the eyes of international fans. For instance, during the T20 World Cup final, Williamson lit up the Dubai International Stadium with an 85-run innings off just 48 deliveries to give their team a much-needed boost after the top-order had crumpled.
Yet another brilliant aspect of his game and leadership is the ability to stay calm under intense situations. Even if New Zealand are losing by a big margin, Williamson never shows concern, worry or rage, even if he’s fuming at the back of his head.

“Each person feels the pressure. It is only natural that you do. But when you are the leader, it is important you give the impression to your teammates that you are in control. If they see you calm it helps to a degree. If a bowler isn’t bowling at his best, it is my job as captain to have a silent word and give him the confidence and support. If I get flustered and show anxiety, it can rub off on him and that’s not good for the team,” he told The Economic Times about why he can’t afford to show emotions as a captain.
This was good enough for the thousands of haters of the Indian Test captain Virat Kohli to talk about the display of aggression and unhappiness that they often get to see on the field.

Cricket Australia demanded Tim Paine to step down as the captain of the Australian Test team after the pictures of his ‘sexting’ with a fellow coworker from back in 2017 went public. Here’s how the cricket board put the cricketer’s neck on the line to protect themselves as an organisation.
Cricket Australia Had Already Dealt With Tim Paine’s Sexting Scandal BeforeOne of the biggest problems with Paine being asked to resign is the fact that Cricket Australia were completely aware of the whole scenario right at the beginning of the scandal. They had conducted an internal investigation, got complete cooperation from Paine whenever required and had seen that there was no breach in the Code of Conduct and therefore the cricketer’s professional life shouldn’t take a hit.
A few questions: a private text conversation between adults is reported to an employer who investigates and says employee cleared of breaching code of conduct. Three years later it is made public. Why? By whom? For what? Should we care? #TimPaine

Cricket Australia Made Tim Paine Captain After The ScandalThe next issue with how things have turned out is the fact that Paine was appointed as the Test cricket captain one year after the sexting scandal had taken place. Furthermore, the circumstances under which Paine became the skipper were also extraordinary. Steve Smith had just been found guilty of ball-tampering during the infamous ‘sandpapergate’ saga and was suspended from international cricket for one whole year.
If they felt that what Paine had done was as problematic as they have made it seem now, they should never have crowned him to be the leader, or else it would have been yet another Public Relations debacle at the time.

The Sexting Was ConsensualThen comes the issue of whether Paine had enforced himself onto his coworker by sending her illicit pictures and messages without her consent? Based on the leaked chat messages, the interactions seem to be pretty much a two-way street. This may have caused problems in Paine’s personal life but should not reflect on his professional career in any way. This was arguably the reason why no actions were taken against him back in 2017.
CA Chairman Richard Freudenstein’s Excuse For Taking Action In 2021Lastly, it is the CA bossman’s unconvincing excuse for making Paine resign five years after the incident that doesn’t fit really well with the outcome of the whole scandal. Freudenstein says that he would have taken strict action in 2017 itself if he was in charge at the time and that he only came to power two years ago and was told that the case was closed.
I don’t have the whole picture, but a lot of these text message exchanges with Tim Paine and mystery woman seem fairly consensual.
Im not sure you can say some of these things and be surprised? Sounds like they were both pretty keen on sexually explicit chat? pic.twitter.com/vXVDEpTvxq
— Hayden (@Haydenfreedom) November 19, 2021
So, how did the case get opened again? Because of a couple of screenshots that made it online? Surely CA had to be aware of these messages during their “internal investigation” at the time and had chosen to clear him of all charges despite them, right? If that was the case back then, how is it any different now?
The only difference at the moment is the fact that the issue has gone public and therefore the Board needed to do something to clear themselves of any kind of trouble. What if the pictures never went online? Would Paine continue to be the captain and CA wouldn’t even bat an eyelash?
