    It’s always exciting to see the biggest Hollywood actors who we have grown up watching starring in our films. 

    From Will Smith’s cameo in Student Of The Year 2 to Sylvester Stalone in Kambakkht Ishq to Rebecca Breeds in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, many international stars have worked in Bollywood films. 
    Another A-lister who might add to this list (or rather wants to be added) is Dawyne Johnson.

    Lovingly known as ‘The Rock’ by fans, Dawyne has expressed interest in working in Bollywood. In a recent interview, the Red Notice actor said that he would ‘love’ to do a film in Indian cinema. 

    He said, “I would love that (do a Bollywood film). I’ve always said that. I would love to figure out whatever the pathway is. I’ve felt there should be some more connective tissue between Hollywood and Bollywood.

    “Especially when so many of our releases are not just theatrical, but they are on streaming platforms as well, where there’s so much more opportunity. There has to be a way to converge,” he further added.

    The star also expressed his desire to visit and travel to India. He has been longing to come to India since his wrestling days. 

    “There were a couple of tours in which we were planning to go to India during my professional wrestling days, but it fell through for whatever reason. I was looking forward to that because my friends – The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin – would come back from India and say you must go there because we had the greatest time and the crowd was crazy,” he said.

    The actor enjoys immense love and fan following in India, even from Bollywood actors. He has previously appreciated the love desis pour on him. “The love that I get from a lot of actors in India is genuine. I feel it, all the way, over here. I love the energy and the love from India has been unbelievable over the years. By the way, I was tracking this love when I was wrestling in WWE because wrestling is very big in India,” he said.

    It would be amazing to see him shaking a leg on a Bollywood song or throwing off carts in a fight scene in a desi action flick. It should be more than just a cameo role, though.

    Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameos has finally released on November 5 and the viewers have given a mixed response to the movie. Fans have obviously praised the massy nature of the movie but others have pointed out that the film is a complete waste of time because the director has infused jingoism with the bad  Muslims vs Indian Muslims angle.

    Sooryavanshi takes forward Rohit’s cop universe with DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, Inspector Sangram Bhalerao, and DCP Bajirao Singham when they come together to stop a terrorist group planning to attack Mumbai. The film that opened to a good Rs 26.29 crore net on Day 1, managed to maintain its hold on Saturday. People are celebrating the return of cinemas and have been going to the theatres to catch a screening.

    But, the movie is in the headlines for a not-so-positive reason. The screening was stopped in as many as five halls in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur after a group of farmers, protesting against the central farm laws, forced cinemas in the city to stop the screening. As per a report in PTI, activists of the Bharti Kisan Union (Kadian), led by the group’s district president Swaram Dhugga, staged a demonstration and a protest march from a local Shaheed Udham Singh Park to Swaran cinema against Sooryavanshi’s live screening.

    They forced the cinema owners to stop the screening as they were pissed with the fact that Akshay Kumar didn’t tweet once in favour of the farmers who have been sitting at the Delhi borders since November last year demanding that the government repeal the three agri laws -- Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020; and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
    They will not let the cinema theatres screen the movie until the farm laws are repealed.
    We wonder how would the team of Sooryavanshi  react to this fiasco.

    It has not even been a decade since Alia Bhatt made her big Bollywood debut with Student Of The Year. Although the film didn’t really do well, she went on to prove herself as a bankable actor in the Hindi film industry. With films like Highway, Raazi and Udta Punjab, she has made a powerful presence in cinema.

    Her kitty is full of big budget films that are all set to release next year including Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Brahmastra. She is even making her debut in Tollywood with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu-language film RRR in which she is playing Sita.

    However, it seems like her hunger for success and work is endless. Not just Bollywood and South cinema, Alia is on a quest to take over the global film industry. 

    If reports are to be believed, she has signed up with an American talent agency, William Morris Endeavour (WME) which represents Hollywood A-listers like Gal Gadot, Emma Stone, Charlize Theron and others.

    She has been reportedly looking at projects in Hollywood and has liked one of the scripts that have been offered to her. She might finalise it soon and make her debut in the West by next year.

    A fan of Jennifer Lawrence, Alia has asked her agency to seek projects similar to her work and the kind of films she has done in Hollywood. If all goes well, she might make an official announcement about her debut soon.

    Alia too seems to be following the steps of the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone who also jetted off to LA and worked in American TV and films after making it big in Bollywood. While Padukone starred alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage in 2017, Chopra has made a mark in Hollywood with her series Quantico and a bunch of other films she did. 

    Alia and Priyanka are also teaming up for Farhan Akhtar’s next Jee Le Zaraa, an all-girls road trip film which also stars Katrina Kaif. It will be released in 2023.

    With the end of the T29 World Cup 2021 nearing for the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli’s time as the captain of the squad is also coming to an end. Back in September, the elite cricketer had announced his resignation from the position as soon as the tournament would end, with the hopes of reducing his workload and focusing on retaining his position as the world’s greatest batter.
    And while the entire nation is behind Kohli’s decision to do what he feels is right for him, his career and his work-life balance, another debate has emerged as a byproduct of this whole event.

    The issue of Virat Kohli’s replacement as the captain of the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game has been buzzing all across the various social media platforms. There have been obvious names such as the vice-captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul who have been leading these debates. While Rishabh Pant’s name has also been sprinkled here and there.
    However, former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra has nominated yet another name to be thrown into this mix and it is a tricky one. Nehra feels that the next captain of the squad, at least in the shortest format of the game, should be the yorker specialist Jasprit Bumrah.

    In his opinion, there were two major reasons why Bumrah should be picked as the next skipper over all of his teammates: first, because he is a member of the Playing XI across all formats of the game, and second, because he has all the qualities of being a good leader.
    "Apart from Rohit Sharma, we are hearing the names of Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. Pant has travelled around the world, carried drinks, and was even dropped from the team a few times. Rahul was recalled to the Test side after Mayank Agarwal got injured. As Ajay (Jadeja) said, he (Bumrah) understands the game quite well. He is also in the playing XI in all formats. It's nowhere written in the rule book that pacers can't be captains," Nehra said in a conversation with CricBuzz.

    However, in the past, BCCI officials have addressed this issue and have given an answer a lot less controversial than Bumrah and have picked Rohit Sharma as Kohli’s successor as the next skipper.
    According to reports, the Indian cricket board is expected to declare the next T20I captain next week, as the Men in Blue will brace themselves for a bilateral series against New Zealand at home in the second half of November.

    Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team have found themselves at an interesting juncture during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 and their only hopes of making it to the next round rest on the shoulders of Afghanistan.
    The situation at the moment is that the Men in Blue need Mohammad Nabi and the rest of the Afghan squad to pull out a miracle victory against Kane Williamson’s boys in the crucial match on Sunday. This would allow India a chance to make it to the next round if they draw a victory over Namibia on Monday.

    As a result, the entire community of Indian cricket fans will be backing up their dynamic and enthusiastic rivals in Afghanistan and wish to see their hands raised at the end of the 40 overs that will be delivered today.
    Some of the Indian supporters went on to take an extra step and combined the pictures of all of the Afghanistan cricketers in a single video while Lord Krishna’s bhajan from the film Lagaan plays in the background.
    Former Indian cricketer and analyst Aakash Chopra shared the video from his Twitter handle asking who decided to come up with such a unique way of showing their support for the Afghans.

    Virat Kohli is arguably one of the most criticised cricketers and captain of an international squad in the history of the game. The kind of pressure he is expected to deliver under and the kind of expectations the fans of the Men in Blue have attached to him can be excruciatingly unrealistic.
    There is no denying the fact that the elite batter and leader has seen a significant dip in his performance over the years and as a result, Kohli has decided to step down as the captain of the squad in the shortest format of the game as soon as the T20 World Cup 2021 gets over.

    In the statement that the captain had released while announcing his big news back in September 2021, he has mentioned about he wanted to give up a little bit of his opportunities as skipper in order to reduced his workload management, while trying to retain his form with the bat and focus better on his duties as the ODI and Test captain.

    Here’s the thing with desi moms. They always think you are not eating enough and would give you an earful for it. Regardless of how healthy you are, how old you are or even when you are a celebrity, everyone’s mom treats them the same. Actor Anupam Kher’s mother is no different.

    The 66-year-old met his mom, Dulari Kher after a month and got scolded for looking thin. The actor shared the hilarious incident on social media where his mother didn’t look happy with her son eating less and losing weight.

    He posted a sneaky video of his mom on Instagram where she is going on about how he eats too little and looks too thin. He wrote in the caption, “Met Mom after a month. She immediately called me #Sukda (very thin). Made unbelievable faces! Then added that I look like a #Hoggard. Kashmiri word for dried fish.”

    She came bearing gifts for her son though and calmed down in seconds. It was wholesome to see his equation with his mother. He added in the caption, “But then I got two nice shirts.     Anupam Kher vowed to fitness a few years ago and managed to lose around 16 kilos in less than two years. He apparently got inspired to follow a fitness regime by Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor and started living a healthy and active lifestyle in his 60s.
