Every time a super famous number from the 90s is picked up and revamped for a movie today, Bollywood fans automatically get divided on the why and the how. Besides these ‘ renewed’ songs reaching out to millennial audience, people take it for granted that perhaps music director Tanishk Bagchi is behind it, since he’s known to alter every old song and customize it for the new crop. Adding to the list of more hits and misses, the latest song from Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi just dropped, and it stars Katrina Kaif opposite him. It is a new version of the cult 90s hit song Tip Tip Barsa which had a super gorgeous Raveena Tandon in a flowing yellow saree dancing in the rain and a smitten Akki matching the rhythm.

While the only common denominator in the song is Akshay Kumar, Katrina’s sensuous moves are beyond hot and it setting the rain on fire.

    — Sure shot academy for UPSC bpsc (@ShotUpsc) November 6, 2021 So while everyone agreed that Katrina totally owned this number because her screen presence is magical, every 90s kid out there could not help but compare this one to the OG. Needless to say, people had a lot of emotions.

    — Samyy (@_Doctor_Doodle_) November 6, 2021Sorry Raveena But Katrina Stole the Show in Tip Tip Barsa Paani#Sooryavanshi
    — Dhruv (ध्रुव) (@IamDhruv45) November 6, 2021Original tip tip barsa pani is original .It has memory and emotion attached . Remix always ruin .Raveena 's yellow saree magic is not close to Katrina's metallic silver saree by manish malhotra .Like in the same way ,Katrina's teri ore is her original and tip tip .. #Sooryavanshi
    — Pragati Sinha (@Pragatiisinha) November 6, 2021 What do you think? I loved Katrina and probably rewatched the video just for her, but won’t lie, I also went back to appreciate and relive the magic create by Raveena Tandon.

Some people also observed that probably Akshay Kumar was the luckiest since he didn’t get replaced in this number. Sooryavanshi is currently running in theatres and has garnered mixed reviews.

Rohit Shetty’s Sooryanvanshi released yesterday and fans are going crazy over the action stunts and entry scenes of the stars in the film. Since the cop drama stars the ultimate action hero and Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, it is obvious that the stunts are as invincible and savage as the actor himself.

The Sooryavanshi team including Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Rohit Shetty appeared recently in a special episode of the Indian game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ which is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.

They discussed one particular scene where Akshay was supposed to hang from a chopper, leaving his bike behind. However, the khiladi took the stunt up a notch and did it without the harness.

The clip of the shot was shown on the show after which Amitabh Bachchan praised the actor for the thrilling scene. However, the director Rohit Shetty revealed that the stunt done by Akshay was completely unplanned.

He said, “If you watch the film you will realise. What we did was, we harnessed the bike because it would fall otherwise. His (Akshay Kumar’s) job was to hold the ramp of the chopper. The chopper will take off a bit and then we will cut the shot, harness him and then take the next shot.”

“We were shooting in Bangkok, I have no idea when he had a word with the pilot. He left the bike, held onto the ramp and the chopper took off (with Akshay hanging right there without a harness.). He is without a harness in that shot. Hum sab dekhte reh gaye kya ho raha hai (we were left wondering what was happening),” he added. He then said that the scene in the film is a real shot where “there is no harness.”

Akshay said, “I would just say not to try. Bewakoofi thi kaafi (it was stupidity).” Amitabh was impressed but warned him to not do it again as it is dangerous, “Sir, do not do it again, ever. Ye bahut hi mushkil hota hai (It is very difficult).” He also recalled doing a similar action sequence in his 1980 film Dostana that he pulled off without a harness.

Sooryavanshi also stars Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and another action hero Ajay Devgn whose grand entry scene is already creating a buzz. Apparently, he appears Singham-style in the last 20 minutes to culminate the movie in a full-blown, action packed entry.

Michael Vaughan was recently suspended on a temporary basis by the BBC from the Radio 5 live’s Tuffers and Vaughan Show on Monday after facing allegations of making racist comments while playing for Yorkshire in 2009.
According to The Guardian, Vaughan has been accused of telling three Asian cricketers that there were “too many of you lot, we need to do something about it” ahead of a county cricket match against Nottingham.
The former England skipper has “completely and categorically” denied saying those words to the Asian cricketers in his Daily Telegraph column, although agreeing to have his name being mentioned in the racism case of the Azeem Rafiq report.
EXC: Michael Vaughan accused of “denying the truth” by former Yorkshire team-mate Rana Naved, he asks: “Why is he denying Rafiq’s claims?” and says there are “lots of racists at Yorkshire”

"The night before I was due to give evidence, out of the blue, I was hit with the news that Rafiq was alleging that in 2009, when I was still a player and before a Yorkshire match against Nottinghamshire, I had said to Rafiq and two other Asian players as we walked onto the field together that there are "too many of you lot, we need to do something about it.
"This hit me very hard. It was like being struck over the head with a brick. I have been involved in cricket for 30 years and never once been accused of any remotely similar incident or disciplinary offence as a player or commentator. That the allegation came completely out of the blue and more than a decade after it was alleged to have happened made it all the more difficult to process.

Upon reading his comments, yet another Asian-origin player from Yorkshire, this time the former Pakistan all-rounder Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, has challenged Vaughan’s statement, while suggesting that he too had heard what the Englishman had said.
"I am very surprised to hear that Michael Vaughan, who is a big name player, is denying what he said. I was witness to it and the other 4-5 Asian players who were playing must have also heard it and should be asked about it," Rana Naved-ul-Hasan said.

As the investigation grows deeper, more and more instances of Vaughan’s questionable behaviour are coming forward. Some of his old tweets in which he had said “YES” to the suggestion of Moeen Ali going around asking Muslims if they are terrorists, have also reappeared on the internet after Vaughan had deleted it from his profile.

Ravichandran Ashwin has always been a top choice for the Indian cricket team when it comes to Test cricket but when his name was mentioned in the squad ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021, not a lot of happy faces could be seen around this news.
For the first couple of matches of the tournament, the all-rounder was nowhere to be found, despite the Dubai pitches favouring the spinners and India falling short of an additional decent bowler to keep the middle overs in check.

Nonetheless, the 35-year old finally got to show off his skills in an extremely important, must-win match for the Men in Blue when he was picked in the Playing Xi against Afghanistan. In the four overs that he got in his quota, the off-spinner leaked just 14 runs while picking two significant wickets in Afghan hitters Gulbadin Naib and Najibullah Zadran.
He proved to be a little more expensive against Scotland, as he was knocked for 29 runs in four overs but also took a wicket to end his night on a high.

His first stint in white-ball cricket had ended in 2017 and there was little to no chance for him to make it back to the blue-kit teams. However, it was the success of his countless variations in the Indian Premier League since then that allowed him a ticket into this roster, as suggested by his skipper, Virat Kohli.
After proving his worth and justifying his spot in the team, Ashwin responded to these critics ahead of India’s win over Scotland.

"For a lot of people who are giving expert opinions on the game, I sometimes feel sorry for them. I have been playing this format since 2007-8, and every two years, the game leaves our realms and it teaches us something because the game is so fast-paced. I feel the understanding of the game is still backward in so many ways. For me when you say a bowler has to pick wickets, for fast bowlers there are different plans and for spinners, there are different plans," he said.

"There are different lengths that you cannot afford to bowl as you do in a Test match. Wicket-taking is not something that just happens. Experts say that the game is about partnerships. Every time a bowler is picking wickets, there is an over that was bowled well before. I think I expect too much from the people who watch the game. This is how I play the game and in the process if I keep taking wickets, I do that. 24 events are there when I bowl and I take them very seriously," he added.
