Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan was arrested almost two decades back on the grounds of consuming cocaine. The case, while not being the same as the ongoing Aryan Khan drug case, did hold some similarities.
Aryan, the eldest son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was detained by NCB officials at the start of the month, following a raid on a cruise ship that was heading from Mumbai to Goa.

The 23-year-old was arrested for consuming drugs and had been kept in NCB custody for five days before being shifted to judicial custody in Arthur Road jail on October 7. Like Aryan, Fardeen, too was a young Bollywood starkid who was just making a name for himself in the industry when the event occurred.

Unlike Fardeen, however, the NCB reportedly did not find Aryan in possession of anything but the agency is still challenging his bail application by claiming that he is a part of an "illicit drug chain" and if released on bail, might end up tampering with the evidence. As a result, the court has reserved its order till October 20 despite having two hearings on Aryan's bail, creating a frustrating situation for Shah Rukh Khan and family.
Now, in the light of the events, Fardeen Khan's lawyer, Ayaz Khan has revealed how swift action helped Fardeen Khan get bail within three days of his arrest.
Fardeen had been nabbed by the anti-drugs agency for using 1g of cocaine while his peddler was caught with 9g of cocaine, after which the prosecution tried to challenge his bail by claiming Fardeen had been consuming drugs for a long time. However, Ayaz maintained a strong defense.
"If he has been consuming drugs for a long time, even then he still remains a consumer," said Ayaz, while speaking to ETimes. "There were arguments and Fardeen was in NCB custody for two or three days. We immediately applied for bail and got it soon from NDPS court. The allegation of the prosecution was, they wanted to check if there was a conspiracy because about 9 grams of contraband was found on the peddler Nasir. But the finding of the judge was that, if it is written in the statement Fardeen is consuming, he should be tried for a small quantity. We got him out on bail within three days", he added.

Ayaz says by taking swift action, they really didn't allow the prosecution to develop the case. "We did not give the prosecution a chance to develop the case. Even when they had said that Nasir and Fardeen were talking, my stand was clear, if he is a consumer and is talking to the peddler, he is only talking to him for consumption and that helped our case" he said.

Looks like Aryan should have actually contacted Ayaz for help in the case.

There’s no doubt that India facing off against Pakistan is the biggest encounter in the T20 World Cup. Given the history of the two neighbouring countries, whenever they take on each other it is much more than just a game of cricket, if not for the players at least for than fans. Fans from both countries feel that a favourable result in this match would give them a bragging right over their neighbours.

The marquee clash is still one week away but the anticipation around the match has hit the roof. However, all that glitters is not gold and the same is true in this case as well.

The reason why this encounter is in the limelight is not because people are excited about the match, it’s because they want Team India to boycott the match, in the view of brutal murder of innocent civilians by the terrorists in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir in the recent weeks.

In the recent weeks, non-local civilians, including daily-wage labourers have been brutally murdered in the valley by the terrorists. A gol-gappa hawker from Bihar and a carpenter from Uttar Pradesh were killed in gruesome targeted attacks against innocent civilians, trying hard to earn a living and support their families.
On Sunday, terrorists opened fire on two non-local labourers from Bihar in the Wanpoh area of Kulgam district. So far, a total of 11 people have been killed in similar incidents, five of them local civilians while the rest hailed from outside the UT.

Indian fans want the Government of India to sever all ties with Pakistan, including cricket to teach them a lesson. Even the ministers from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have joined the bandwagon and expressed concerns saying that the match should be “reconsidered” amid the growing tension between the two nuclear-armed nations.
“I think the match should be reconsidered since the relations between India and Pakistan aren’t good,” Singh said when asked about the India-Pakistan encounter in the T20 World Cup.

Apart from the killings of innocent civilians, nine soldiers have also been martyred in the last one week in a terrorist encounter in the Poonch district in Jammu & Kashmir, as reported by NDTV.
India and Pakistan have not played any bi-lateral series against each other since 2013. The only time these two countries face each other is during the multi-nation continental or world tournaments.

The last match between these two sides took place during the 2019 ODI World Cup which India won comprehensively. In fact, India enjoys a perfect record against their arch-rivals in World Cup events, (both ODI and T20 World Cups) and if the match does go ahead as planned on October 24, Virat Kohli’s men will have a chance to extend their unbeaten run to 12 wins, across two formats.

After a long wait, Ranveer Singh's The Big Picture aired on television on Saturday, October 16. Famous Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan have had successful TV ventures in the past and now Ranveer has got a chance to entice the small-screen audience with his show. Similar to Kaun Banega Crorepati, the contestants are asked questions but the twist here is that the participants have to answer based on a picture. If the contestant wins, he or she can take back the winning prize of Rs 5 crore.

Speaking about his television debut, Ranveer Singh said, “In my journey as an artist, the urge to experiment and explore has been constant. Indian cinema has undeniably given me everything - it’s been a platform for me to excel and showcase my skills as an actor and I have been fortunate to get immense love from the people of India. Now, I look to connect with them in an extremely unique and engaging way through my television debut with Colors’ The Big Picture. The proposition of introducing India to a ‘now’ generation quiz show sealed the deal for me. I am delighted to associate with Colors to bring alive this exciting new property.”
Sonipat’s Karishma Toor, a constable, became the first contestant to play the game and ended up winning Rs 20 lakh. Ranveer was a powerhouse of energy on the show and interacted with the contestants on a personal level.

The second contestant to play the game was Abhay Singh, who talked about how his father died when he was just seven. Ranveer was teary-eyed after listening to Abhay’s story. “My father died when I was in Class 7. I could not understand what was happening then, I was so young. I had never experienced death until then. I could not have cried in front of my family and no one would have understood even if I did. My mother has worked so hard. We did not have enough money at home that all my siblings could be sent to school,” Abhay told Ranveer on stage. The actor couldn’t hold back his tears and had no qualms about showing his emotions on the stage.

Overall, in the first episode, there were emotional moments, drama, and Ranveer’s crazy energy. A few people appreciated the show and the anchor but many did not approve of the content.
People have been trolling the show and felt Ranveer was over-acting. They also felt that the show is nothing but a Bollywood version of KBC. They also added that the whole Abhay sequence looked scripted.
