    Watching his name being linked to Virat Kohli’s captaincy resignation, veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has finally broken his silence on the matter and described it as “fake news”.

    A couple of days ago, some of the media houses published a report claiming that the off-spinner was 'not happy' with Virat Kohli and had reached out to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah) with a complaint about the skipper.  
    The report further added that Ashwin had raised concerns about insecurity within the team.

    Instead of getting angry over these serious allegations, Ashwin took a unique approach to get his message across.  

    Rather than launching a direct attack, the Delhi Capitals spinner took a sarcastic dig and pulled up news agency Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) for publishing fake news, pitting him against Kohli.

    “I am searching for the handle called “Fake News”, it used to be super fun for Gossip,” Ashwin wrote on his Instagram stories. 
    “Ohh yeah!! Thank you guys. Found Them: I just heard they have renamed themselves and are now called IANS and some others take quotes from them too. Super Fun,” he added. 
    The IANS had reported that Ashwin 'wasn’t happy' with Kohli because he had questioned him for not showing enough intent in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand in Southampton in June this year.

    Ashwin is not the only Indian cricketer who has been accused of complaining against Kohli, a report in the New Indian Express had claimed that the batting duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Chetewshwar Pujara had dialled Jay Shah and complained about Kohli after their fallout with the skipper in the dressing room after India had suffered an eight-wicket loss in the WTC final.

    While these two players have yet to respond to the allegations, the BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal has rubbished all such reports and said that no Indian cricketer has complained about Kohli by any medium. He even urged the media houses to “stop writing rubbish” as it affects the atmosphere within the team.

    “The media must stop writing this rubbish. Let me say this on the record that no Indian cricketer has made any complaint to the BCCI - written or verbal. The BCCI can't keep answering every false report that keeps appearing. The other day, we saw some reports saying there will be changes in India's World Cup squad. Who said that?” Dhumal told The Times of India.

    Ashwin was one of the better performers for Team India in the WTC final, picking up two wickets each in both innings. So, it’s to believe that Kohli would have confronted him for showing a lack of intent in the game.

    As far as Pujara and Rahane are concerned, they are not part of India’s limited-overs set-up. Hence, whoever is saying that Kohli gave up his T20 captaincy because he had a fallout with them only makes those people look stupid.

    Moreover, in a couple of week’s time, Team India will start its T20 World Cup campaign in the United Arab Emirates and if we want our team to go all the way in the tournament we shouldn’t pay much heed to these reports and get behind our players.

    When Delhi Capitals took on two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders in an IPL 2021 league game earlier this week in Sharjah, Ravichandran Ashwin and Eoin Morgan were involved in a heated exchange after the KKR skipper and his teammate Tim Southee gave a fierce send-off to the veteran off-spinner.

    Morgan wasn’t happy with Ashwin who had stolen an extra run on the previous delivery after the ball had ricocheted off Rishabh Pant’s bat. The England limited-overs skipper was of the opinion that Ashwin’s action didn’t uphold the spirit of cricket.

    Things got so heated up that KKR wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik had to intervene and calm things down between the two parties. 
    After the game, Karthik threw light on the whole issue that made Morgan angry.

    Furious with Morgan questioning Ashwin’s sportsman spirit, former India opener Virender Sehwag bashed the KKR skipper and called out his hypocrisy, reminding him of his own actions in the infamous 2019 World Cup final that England won in a rather controversial manner.

    Sehwag, who is never afraid of speaking his mind, posted a screenshot of Karthik’s post-match comments and questioned Morgan where was the sportsman spirit when England had collected those extra four runs in the final two years ago and went on to become the world champions.

    In the final over of the regulation play, a throw had ricocheted off Ben Stokes’ bat and raced away to the fence giving England four crucial runs and it played a major role in them lifting their World Cup on their home soil.
    Not just Sehwag, Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal sided with his player and hit back at the KKR captain and described him as the perfect example of hypocrisy.

    Neither Stokes nor Morgan thought about the spirit of cricket and urged the umpire to deduct those four runs from their total. Why? Because it benefited them and without it perhaps they wouldn’t have won that match.

    And look at the irony, the same Morgan who perfectly played a silent actor’s role sitting on the sidelines while New Zealand was being robbed of their chances of winning their first-ever World Cup trophy, has the audacity to question the Indian veteran and call him a “disgrace”.

    Once again, Ravichandran Ashwin has been villainised by international media after he tried to play within the rules of cricket and score as many runs as possible for his team, especially after Englishman Eoin Morgan got into a verbal spat with him in the middle of the ground.
    During the IPL 2021 match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, when Ashwin and Rishabh Pant were on strike, the former decided to sneak an extra run when KKR fielder Rahul Tripathi threw the ball, and it ricocheted off Pant.

    This move, while being completely legal, seemed to have rubbed Morgan the wrong way, who didn’t think twice before getting in Ashwin’s face and calling him out. According to the England skipper, it was against the spirit of the game and that Ashwin ought to stop and tend to his teammate rather than thinking about taking a run.
    KKR teammates Dinesh Karthik and Nitish Rana had to intervene and play peacemakers on the ground and pull apart the two big names butting heads.

    Ever since the moment on the field, the discussion about what’s fair and unfair in this particular scenario has been abuzz all over social media with fans divided in two. While names like Tim Southee and Shane Warne sided with Morgan and called Ashwin “disgraceful”, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag backed Ashwin up.
    However, earlier today, Ashwin took to Twitter to post a long thread on how he felt about the altercation and the discussions that have taken place all over the world ever since.

    The last couple of months have been difficult for Hardik Pandya, whose capabilities as an Indian all-rounder have been put under a microscope. The doubts aren’t exactly unsubstantiated either. 
    It has been a while since he has bowled for Team India or the Mumbai Indians, and has enjoyed a lot of freedom in terms of choosing the matches in which he would like to bowl, given his ailing back injury.

    However, with the Mumbai Indians hustling to find a place for themselves in the IPL Playoffs and the T20 World Cup 2021 soon approaching, the doubts around Pandya’s ability to bat and bowl at a high level could not have come at a more inopportune time. 
    The good news is that the 27-year old was seen with some shades of his usual self when he struck an unbeaten 40-run innings off 30 deliveries against Punjab Kings to win the match for his side.

    The bad news is that he is yet to prove that he is comfortable bowling for at least four overs per match - which is the minimum that is to be expected from an all-rounder of Pandya’s stature. Also, Pandya is yet to deliver his first ball in the second leg of IPL 2021.

    The iPhone 13 Pro comes with new camera modes such as using the ultra-wide sensor for Macro shots. The mode can be used for taking close-up pictures and videos. However, we never thought that Doctors would start using the cameras on the phone for eye checkups. While most iPhone users will make use of the Macro mode for capturing images of flowers and bugs, Doctor Tommy Korn is using it for eye treatment. 
    Doctor Clicks Photos of Eye Using iPhone 13 Pro MaxKorn, an ophthalmologist, shared his story on LinkedIn on how he has been using the iPhone 13 Pro Max to check a patient’s eye with the new camera. Korn was able to take highly detailed images of the eyes using the macro mode and recorded important details about the patient’s health.

    He also argues with help of another optometrist, Jeffrey Lewis, that the feature could be used in pushing telemedicine forward. “Dovetails with the overall move toward virtual, slowly overcoming imaging barriers. Yet another way to impress, manage, nurture long-term relationships with our patients,” Korn said. 

    What’s impressive is that even though the results look incredible, Apple achieved this without using a dedicated sensor for macro shots. The ultra-wide sensor on the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a larger f/1.8 aperture and 120-degree field of view which enables it to capture images from 2 centimetres of distance.

    This is not the first time Doctor Korn has been using smartphone photography for taking pictures of the eye. In a previous LinkedIn post, Korn says that the potential of macro photography by smartphones could be a game-changer. He says that patients can send macro images of their eyes to doctors for examination. He says that if a doctor detects a critical eye condition, the person can then call for an in-person appointment. "Macro eye photography can improve peer to peer physician “curbside” consults when emergency/urgent care physicians communicate with ophthalmologists about patients with emergency eye conditions,” he said in a different post.

    Sidharth Shukla's death shocked the nation, especially his fans who loved him since his TV debut in Balika Vadhu or since Bigg Boss 13, the reality show that he won. 
    A lot of celebrities, his friends and acquaintances from the industry were also devastated by the news and one of them is Raqesh Bapat who recently shared how he felt upon learning about the demise of the actor.

    Although Bapat didn’t compete with the Shukla in the same season, his death made him realise one very important thing about the show and life. He said that it was the last day of their stay in the Bigg Boss OTT house when they heard the news and they “were in a state of disbelief.”

    He further shared that Sidharth Shukla’s death made them recall the fights and arguments they had in the house and how unnecessary they felt since life is uncertain. He realised that it’s important to be kind rather than holding grudges.

    He said, “We all in the house just recollected all the fights, unnecessary arguments and thought it over! Why were we all fighting?! Why was all the chaos about?!     He added that everything they did to win the show felt redundant now., “We all somehow we're on the same page and felt that just to win a trophy, all the fights, arguments, the negativity that took place was so unnecessary, it all suddenly felt flat,” he said.

    He also said that it left them with a life lesson. “It's just important to be nice and live in the present, live in today. I felt bad, sad and was angry too for all the fights and arguments that happened in the house. Sidharth's demise made me realize that how we don't know what's going to happen tomorrow and hence all the chaos, hatred is not needed and rather we just need to spread happiness, for nobody knows what life has planned for them. It's time everybody stops being envious. Is all of the mess even worth it?!”

    Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned as the Punjab Congress president, days after the party high command replaced Captain Amarinder Singh with Charanjit Singh Channi as chief minister.  
    The news spread like wildfire and became fodder for people on Twitter who made memes on the entire situation and even dragged Archana Puran Singh into it. Before Archana, Navjot was the permanent guest judge on The Kapil Sharma Show.
    People started making memes on how Navjot’s resignation can be a threat to her position in the show. The actor has now made a statement that she is ready to quit if Sidhu wants to return.

It is a task to come up with gags every day and keep the show running for the last 10 years. But all those who feel I don't have anything to do in the show should come on the sets to see how it is not easy to sit 6-7 hours in a particular position, facing the stage. I have to constantly sit in an angle for 4-7 hours on that sofa and face the stage, listen to every joke that's cracked, and then react to it.”

    Recently, in an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana had revealed how she received congratulatory messages when Sidhu became the Punjab Congress chief. “Mujhe itne phoolon ke bouquets aaye hai, ‘mubarak ho, Archana ma’am’ kyunki woh wahaan par ban gaye (I got so many flower bouquets and congratulatory messages when Sidhu took up the post),” she shared. 
    Archana has been judging comedy shows for a long time even when the concept of these shows wasn’t very popular. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for her and whether we'll see Sidhu return to the show or not.

    Ever since Virat Kohli announced his resignation from the T20 captaincy, there have been several media reports claiming that some senior players were not happy with his attitude and captaincy and even complained about the same to the BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
    In the last couple of days, there have been multiple reports revealing names of the players who reached out to Jay Shah with their complaint after their alleged fallout with the skipper post the World Test Championship final loss.

    From veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to the senior duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, new names emerged with each passing day and nobody had any clue of what actually transpired or if something of the sort did actually happen or not.

    For the first time, a BCCI office-bearer has categorically rubbished all these “false reports”, which he feels have been concocted to disturb the dressing room atmosphere.

    “This kind of reporting harms Indian cricket more than anything else. We can understand if senior journalists - who have followed the game for a very long time and tracked it so devotedly - believe the Indian team should do this or do that. That's an opinion and we respect that. It's an observation and that's their job. I myself enjoy reading good reports. But to concoct tales and say this person said this or that person said, without substantiating it, is not done,” Dhumal added.

    Despite the BCCI secretary refuting all such reports, the fans of the Indian cricket team weren’t ready to believe him because he was the first person who rubbished the TOI report that claimed Kohli was thinking of stepping down from the T20 captaincy.

    After the TOI reported that Kohli was contemplating relinquishing his role in the shortest format post the T20 World Cup to focus more on his batting, Dhumal had said that the BCCI wasn’t considering split-captaincy and that Kohli would remain at the helm in all three formats.

     “This is all rubbish. Nothing (as) such is happening. This is all what you guys (media) are talking about. BCCI has not met or discussed anything on this issue (split captaincy). Virat will remain as the captain (of all formats)," Dhumal had told news agency IANS.

    However, days later Kohli issued a statement on his social media accounts, announcing his decision to give up T20I captaincy, proving Dhumal completely wrong. Another reason why people aren’t ready to take his statement seriously is because after Kohli’s resignation Jay Shah released a statement that made the BCCI treasurer look like a fool.
    While thanking Kohli, Jay Shah had said that they were discussing the issue for the last six months and being the top office-bearer there was no way Dhumal wasn’t aware of the situation. Even if he didn’t have any clue about the ongoing developments, wouldn't he have talked to the top brass before releasing a statement in the media?
    Just like there were no question marks over Kohli's captaincy a couple of weeks back?
