Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took to his social media handle and sincerely urged people to take part in the auction of gifts and mementos that he has received over a due period of time. The reason behind his well thought initiative is that the proceeds from these sales are intended to be sent towards the "Namami Gange" initiative.

Over time, I have received several gifts and mementos which are being auctioned. This includes the special mementos given by our Olympics heroes. Do take part in the auction. The proceeds would go to the Namami Gange initiative.https://t.co/Oeq4EYb30M pic.twitter.com/PrF44YWBrN

The list of these mementos and gifts includes some exclusive sports equipment that belongs to India's Olympics and Paralympics superstars, which includes things like badminton rackets of Krishna Nagar and S L Yathiraj, and Olympic winner Neeraj Chopra's javelin. Needless to say, these garnered the highest amount in the bids. While a lot of Indians are wholeheartedly supporting this cause and trying to do their bit, some people are divided on how and why this is necessary. The initiative and this auction has garnered a lot of mixed reactions.
Ministry of Culture to organise e-auction of gifts, mementos tomorrow to mark PM Modi's birthday

Auction that first ever computerized degree certificate, got as a gift, may get world record bid.https://t.co/dCTzkSAmID via @IndianExpress @SpiritOfCongres @geetv79
    — Tom Jose (@tjose66) September 16, 2021First read what a Gift is?
A gift once executed, the donor has no right over that gift.
Donee has all the right to dispose of this gift as he or she desires..
Also, Modi isnt going to pocket the realisations accruing due to auction of these Gifts..Money is going for Namami Gange. https://t.co/T3eGpGCTKV
    — Jayesh Mehta (@JMehta65) September 20, 2021Some even out rightly called it a ‘prank’’ and believed it to be a joke.
Today in an online auction of sports memorablia gifted to PM Modi, Bhavani Devi's sabre & para shuttler Suhas Yathiraj's racket got crazy bids of 10cr while Neeraj Chopra's winning javelin 'only' got 1.5 cr. Turns out the bids were fake and were quietly removed. Solid prank. pic.twitter.com/6FmGEK1oe8
    — jonathan selvaraj (@jon_selvaraj) September 17, 2021Dont say money goes to govt.. Has the govt become such a Bhikari it wants to get some 20-50 crs from auctions?.. FOR WHAT? For the lipstick crap of Modi? Think better than stupid money.. People dont even sell their mother's kitchen vessels.. LOL! @sri9011 https://t.co/e2p89DdWTm
    — PolitiCrooks (@PolitiCrooks) September 19, 2021Pehle players se gift lo, ek crore ka cheque do.....
Gift ka auction karo or 10 crore lo

    Great modi ji great
    — Saga (@roseyumo) September 19, 2021The ‘Namami Gange’ initiative is a drive meant to serve the purpose of cleaning the holy river of Ganges and support the work for its reservation.

Our first experience or perhaps knowledge of what romance looks like has come from Hindi Bollywood movies. Whether it is Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol running in a Sarso-Ka-Khet, or Aamir Khan jumping and dancing in Pehla Nasha , our first idea of love has been through the powerful performances of the hero-heroine in Bollywood movies.

Now, while there is a long list of Hindi movies, where the Bollywood actors have had wonderful on-screen chemistry, have you ever wondered how they must be to each other in real life?

Well you'd imagine that "acche-hi-honge, warna Aisi performances Kaise dete", right? Wrong! As it turns out there are a lot of Bollywood movie couples who despite having strong on-screen chemistry in films, actually hate each other in real life.
Let's find out who they are exactly.
    1. Emraan Hashmi & Mallika Sherawat © Prime Video
Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat starred in the hugely successful 2004 Bollywood erotic romantic thriller film Murer, which was directed by Anurag Basu.

The duo had scintillating on-screen chemistry in the film so much so that the movie's songs featuring them are still viewed as a perfect romantic track for heating things up while making love. (Don't tell me that song didn't do the same to you)
Well, as things go, while they looked amazing together in the film, the two actors despise each other.
Emraan, known to be a vocal personality, on more than a number of occasions admitted to 'hating her'. He even went on to the extent of stating that Mallika was a terrible kisser.
To which Mallika later replied that she would rather kiss a snake than kiss Emraan.
Probably the reason why we didn't see them build on their on-screen chemistry later in any other movie.
    2. Saif Ali Khan & Rani Mukerjee © YRF
Both Saif and Rani worked in a number of memorable movies like Hum Tum (2004), Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007) amongst a few.

However, it was said that despite gelling well on-screen, they had a whole lot of differences on the set, with both admitting disliking working with each other.
While Saif said he and Rani were two completely different fundamentally and how he found her very 'annoying', Rani, on the other hand, thought of Saif as someone to be very 'impatient', and someone lacking the 'maturity of an actor like Aamir Khan.
After a string of hits, the two stopped acting because of their differences.
However, the two are now lining up to reunite on the screen in Bunty Aur Babli 2, after a period of 12 years. Let's see how that works out.
    3. Sonam Kapoor & Abhay Deol © Prime Video
It is a very well-known fact that Abhay Deol had a whole lot of problems with how Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja handled the filming of Aisha that starred Abhay and Sonam as the lead pair.

Abhay publicly declared that he despised the movie and how the father-daughter duo of Anil and Sonam made it all about fashion, and how he would never star in a film like that ever again.
"The movie had nothing to do with Jane Austen’s Emma as it was reported. When I was shooting, I realized that the film was more about clothes than actual acting. I even read reviews of the movie that praised the clothes." He said previously during an interview.
Sonam was obviously shocked at his public outrage and shared that she had no love lost for him either. Guess, we're not seeing an Aisha sequel anytime soon, for sure.
    4. John Abraham & Bipasha Basu © Zee5
John and Bipasha in Jism were a thing of dreams. Okay. Maybe a different kind of dream altogether.

The duo cast magic onto the screens with their performances and on-screen chemistry in the 2003 Bollywood erotic thriller film and was a real-life couple for almost 9 years with plans to marry as well.
However, things turned real bad, real soon, and the two broke up. Later, there were cheating allegations by Bipasha during an interview and she even went on to refuse to acknowledge John's existence.
Hmm! As if normal break-ups weren't bad enough. Bollywood ones could be even worse.
    5. Shahid Kapoor & Kareena Kapoor Khan © Netflix
The two actors worked in a number of films together but were absolutely sensational in Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met.

The film went on to become a classic and the two actors were clearly dating at the time.
However, following their break-up and later, Kareena going on to marry Saif, the two reportedly cut all ties.
As per reports, the two can't stand the sight of each other and that is the reason why the hit Bollywood Jodi has not been seen again in recent times.
    6. Shah Rukh Khan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan © Prime Video
There is no doubt that Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are probably two of the most talented and established actors in the industry.

The two had great on-screen chemistry in the Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster 'Mohabbatein', however, things remained pretty bad for the on-screen couple professionally.
Many reasons ranging from Salman Khan, late set arrivals, have been cited for their disagreements, however, only they know exactly why and how they ended up having so much friction on sets.
It has been reported that Shah Rukh even went on to the extent of removing Aishwarya from 5 Bollywood films.
Now, while the two actors still publicly refer to each other as 'good friends, tell me, would you really stay friends with people who get you 'thrown off' from movies?
    Yeah. Didn't think so!

Let’s face it, no matter how much one says that laws have been put in place to protect citizens’ interest, with the amount of corrupt cops and red-tapism going around, they are being used more to exploit people than protect them.
    © iStock
And one of the major reasons why this happens is because we as citizens are a lot less aware about rights and laws of our country as we should be.

Which is why a lot of men end up getting rattled or bending under duress by intimidating police officers, especially when they’re out on dates. Here are a few legal rights that every man must be aware of, to avoid getting exploited by police or anyone else for that matter -
    1) Police Can’t Refuse To Lodge Your FIR © Phantom Films
Under no circumstances can the police refuse to file your FIR if you ever wish to lodge it. In fact, a police officer that denies doing so by giving any excuse, is liable to be suspended or even serving a sentence in jail.

    2) Police Is ALWAYS On Duty © iStock
No matter if the police officer is wearing a uniform or not, he/she cannot refuse to help you out by saying ‘I am not on duty’. By law, a police officer is always on duty and has to help you out in case of a crime being committed or addressing a complaint.

    3) Police Can Arrest You For Drunken Driving © iStock
If at all the police finds more than 30mg of alcohol per 100ml in your bloodstream, it is entitled to arrest you, without even needing a warrant.

    4) Traffic Police Cannot Confiscate Your Vehicle Keys © iStock
The traffic police do not have the right to snatch away or confiscate your car/bike keys. In case they do that, you retain the right to launch a legal proceeding against the officer.

    5) Showing RC/License Digitally Through DigiLocker Works © Twitter
It is allowed for any person to show his car papers, license, pollution or even insurance digitally through an app called Digi-lock and doesn’t necessarily have to show the original hard copy to the police.

    6) Women Can Refuse To Go To The Police Station Between 6pm To 6am © Rising Sun Films
If you are accompanied by a woman, no police officer can force her to visit the police station after 6 PM or before 6 AM. The woman can simply deny coming to the station after sunset and can also be only arrested by a female police officer. The only exception to this is if the police bring a written permit from the magistrate to arrest the lady.

    7) Police Can’t Force/Threaten To Call Your Cops © iStock
Unless you’re a minor and have been apprehended by the police on suspicion of doing something unlawful, police cannot threaten you to call your parents under any given circumstances. They are not entitled to reach out to your family if you’re a major.

    8) Live-In Relationships Are Not Illegal © Maddock Films
In India, live-in relationships are not illegal as long as it is between two consenting adults. No police-officer or fellow acquaintance can harass you for living with your partner. In fact, children born out of such live-in relationships also have a similar kind of a right on their parents’ property.

    9) Police Can Arrest You For Obscene Activity Done In Public © iStock
Kissing openly or even in your own car can be grounds for you to get arrested under violation of the Indian Penal Code, for the IPC prohibits indulging in any obscene activity in public places. However, if your car is parked in your private property i.e house parking, private garage or home grounds, then you cannot be booked for the same.
